Of the Return
And this was Him ∞This is an announcement to inform the readers that I will be returning to continue this story. There is one condition I would like to make clear, for it was the reason that made me lost my passion for this story and I feel that you all have the right to know why. To prevent any future misunderstanding, to prevent further shortcomings and stress, for us to finally get along happily until that finish line, I will say this now and only this once.
What got on my nerves the most was not the lack of tact whatsoever.
I have put time into plotting this story and I would appreciate any bullies to refrain from commenting rudely. I will delete them. Yes, I am aware that I am not the best writer around here, but there is no right for you to insult me with vile words.
Secondly, to those who are 'UNSATISFIED' with my story… (here is an explanation I provided earlier on the year, which was when I stopped updating this story):
Q: who is the main character of this fic, i feel like this turned into a myungsin centered fic now not myungyeol
A: she is dying. in real life, you must care for a sick person, don't you? the story focuses on the dynamics of the group and 'healing'. it isn't myungsin-centered at all just because she exists in the story. she's just there because or else there wouldn't be any conflict and if there isn't any conflict with the past-present-future and getting-better then there would not be a story.
as you can see, the story is sungyeol-centric, which means the story focuses a lot on sungyeol, his life and the workings behind it. it does not focus on myungsin. only she made him realise he needs to get better, and the other members think she's important at first because she was part of dongwoo's childhood. and now that they know it is more complicated than it seemed, they need to find a way to solve the conflicts between themselves. hence, they need to solve the problems that surrounds dongwoo. but now that sunggyu is 'in love' with her—there is more at stake here. they can't just leave, not when the girl WAS also part of myungsoo's messed up childhood.
myungsoo doesn't love her anymore because he's in love and infatuated with sungyeol. but yes, he still needs to tie loose ends in order to solve internal conflicts he has. also, he needs to get over his temper issues—i believe the only way to do that is to come to terms with his past. to stop blaming other people and not run away from his problems—accept that possibly some of the things have been his fault. like, sungyeol being broken in the first place. so as you can see, this story revolves around myungsoo and sungyeol and infinite. myungsin is a side character who ties them together, because without her, there would not be a realistic story.
so, i apologise if you do not like her.
ps. if this story is in any way like what you have claimed, i would've had sungyeol marry her since the first chapter, which as you can see, i did not. she came in at, like, chapter five or something and i paired her up with sunggyu. making that kind of story is NOT my goal. so please, put this into consideration a bit.
all i want is to write a good, well-made, well-thought out, novel-like story, which is so very scarce on aff. thank you.
Hopefully, our misunderstandings have been cleared up. I never promised you a MyungYeol-focused story; I promised you an Infinite story that focuses on Sungyeol. Hence, his problems, which came from his environments aka. the members. I am sure you all know of the 'RIPPLE EFFECT'. I want to show you how small things, when added up, can lead to something big and severe—possibly fatal. What we are doing is exploring our society aka. humanity at its current state as realistically as possible.
So as above, I believe that this story remains Sungyeol-centric even when he does not appear. How? Look Deeper. That is because we are looking into his life, his problems and his environment and why the people around him are the way they are, leading them to act in certain ways that result into changing Lee Sungyeol to become a broken character and, now, we see hints of his recovery through little things. This is the way the story is supposed to work. Sungyeol is everywhere and in everything, all we have to do is see what are between the lines. :)
This is wholly fictional. And is a genre alien of AFF, but it is a genre nontheless. I have spent a lot of time plotting (months) and I thank you those who read this story, despite the unsatisfaction that came from our misunderstanding.
I am extremely grateful for every single support, because they are precious and are the reason I spend so much effort into this story. See you around very very soon!
Much love and INFINITE thanks,
Jin, the emotional-but-improving writer
