5 Years Later “This is the last one!” Taeyeon stretched her body in relief as she sealed the last box. She then looked at her flat satisfyingly because all of her stuffs already packed in boxes. This is Taeyeon’s last day living in Yongsan. The next Sunday, she’ll move to Goyang City, Gyeonggi-do. She’d lived in Yongsan for five years. Even though it was hard at first because she had nobody to rely on, but her friends like Tiffany, Seohyun and other girls even Heechul always paid her a visit at the very least once in a month. Her family and friends also called her everyday to support her and make sure she’s okay. All of those made her enjoying her five years living in Yongsan. All of her life with Taejin was good. She enjoyed her work as vocal and dance instructor for kids and teenagers, the environment was really nice, it could be said that Taeyeon had never thought of her traumatic experience anymore. And ever since she tutored in Cho Music and Vocal Academy, the participants were increasing rapidly. All of the classes were full, especially Taeyeon’s class. She was the most popular instructor in there. Moreover, after three of her pupils were recruited by Woolim, JYP and YG Entertainment, respectively. More and more people wanted to be taught by Taeyeon. There was even a list for being Taeyeon’s pupils. Taeyeon herself could barely take a rest. She was so busy that she didn’t realize her body had reached its limit. She ever briefly fainted and had to take a week bedrest. But, aside from her exhaustion, Taeyeon was really pleased and happy with her work. And because of the ‘explosion’ of interests in Cho Music and Vocal Academy, Kyuhyun decided to open another academy in Goyang City that affiliated with Cho Music and Vocal Academy in Seoul. Kyuhyun’s mother also agreed to open another branch. After finding a good place in Goyang, Kyuhyun renovated that place to be comfortable for learning, dancing and singing. The renovation just finished two weeks ago. After the renovation was over, Kyuhyun asked Taeyeon to be the one responsible for managing, teaching and everything related to the academy in Goyang. Practically, Taeyeon was the co-owner of the academy in Goyang because Kyuhyun entrusted all to her. “Everything has set, hasn’t it? We just waited for the pickup car to come and put all your stuffs inside,” Jiwoong showed up as he piled up three boxes contained Taeyeon’s stuffs. He and Hayeon came to Seoul just to help Taeyeon in her moving day. Taeyeon smiled and nodded. “Oppa, thank you, you must be tired after working all the week yet you’re going all the way to Seoul just to help me.” “Look at this kid. You’re so well behaved now. You even thanked me. Are you trying to make me touched?” Jiwoong laughed and caressed Taeyeon’s head. “We better prepared to lunch. What do you have?” “I have nothing to eat or cook. You know I was busy packing and tidying up my things,” Taeyeon whined. “But, don’t worry. I’ll treat you the most delicious potato stew in Seoul. Now, I just wanting to clean up first,” Taeyeon took off her mask and her rubber gloves. Suddenly, Taeyeon felt something hit her from behind and hugged her waist. “Mamaaa! I’m starviiinggg.” Taeyeon smiled and looked at the kid behind her. “Aigoo, you hit me hard, Taejin. Can you be patient a little bit? Mama and Uncle Jiwoong just finished packing our things. And you better come with me to clean up. Look at you, you’re such a mess. Where’s your aunt? I already told her not to bring you to sand park,” Taeyeon shook her head looking at Taejin’s face and body covered by sand. Taeyeon took off Taejin’s clothes and started to clean his body. She smiled looking at Taejin. It’s just like a dream, raising a son herself in such a big city. At first, Taeyeon really struggled to take care of Taejin by her own. She often cried alone when it got too tough for her. But, as time pass by, Taeyeon started to accept her and Taejin’s condition. She used to take care of Taejin easily. Taejin was now five years old and soon to be six this year. He grew up just fine and healthy. He grew above average. He is taller comparing to children his age, he has a big head and chubby cheeks. He also has dimples on his cheeks. Taejin has a white fair skin, sharp eyebrows and small but very round eyes. If he smiled, then his eye smile also appears. Taeyeon planned to put Taejin into the preschool in Goyang because he’s so active and couldn’t stay still even for just five minutes unless he’s hungry or wanted to pee. “Mama,” Taejin said as Taeyeon rubbed his hand. “Why?” “Why does sand taste so bitter?” “What is nonsense you blabbering about? How do you know,” Taeyeon stopped rubbing him and goggled out her eyes. “Don’t say, you ate sand?” Taejin grinned devilishly, showed his eyesmile. “Yah, you’re just like a starving child. Don’t do that you silly,” Taeyeon laughed. “I’m just curious. Aunt Hayeon also didn’t ask me to stop.” “That girl was really unbelievable. Never does anything Aunt Hayeon ask you to do, okay?” Taeyeon thought. “Except it’s the right thing to do.” Taejin nodded. “Mama,” “Why?” “Why do we move?” “We’re moving because my work isn’t here anymore, Taejin.” “Your office also moved to Goyang? How can?” “It’s not like that,” Taeyeon chuckled at Taejin’s pureness. “Uncle Kyuhyun and Mama build a new one in Goyang. It’s bigger and better.” “Are you happy?” Taeyeon looked at Taejin. “Of course I am. Why are you asking?” Taejin smiled. “Nope, if you’re happy, let’s just moving, but if you aren’t happy, let’s just stay here. You have to be happy mother. That’s all.” “Why are you talking like an adult? As long as Taejin’s with me, mother couldn’t be happier,” Taeyeon rinsed Taejin’s body. “Now you’re done. Put on nice clothes.” Taejin nodded and ran funnily outside the bathroom. Taeyeon smiled until she realized that Taejin didn’t wear a towel. “Unnie! Taejin isn’t wearing a towel!” Hayeon screamed made Taeyeon got out in a hurry bringing a towel. Two hours later, Taeyeon said goodbye to all the employees and instructors in Cho Music and Vocal Academy. “Thank you very much for your help! I’ve been a burden for all of you all this time,” Taeyeon bowed. “How could you say that you’re a burden, Taeyeon?” “This place will be so quiet without you.” “Cho Music and Vocal Academy lost its queen.” All the words from all the employees and instructors on her workplace made Taeyeon laughed but also touched. All of them then hugged and greeted each other as they said their farewell. “Will SNSD come?” said Jiwoong when Taeyeon just walked off her workplace. “Maybe, Tiffany said they will come. But I don’t expect them to come. They’re in the middle of promoting their new songs.” “SNSD Aunties will come, mama?” Taejin asked. “Tiffany auntie will come as well, right?” “Don’t expect too much, Taejin. You know SNSD Aunties are really really busy.” Taejin’s brightened face darkened upon her mother’s answer. Made Taeyeon felt guilty. “If SNSD aunties aren’t coming, we’ll just give them a call, okay?” “Promise?” Taeyeon nodded. “We’ll have a video call with Tiffany auntie.” “Okay,” Taejin now smiled. Taeyeon fixed his hoodie. “All the boxes were already inside the truck. Are you ready to leave?” Jiwoong asked Taeyeon after truck driver gave him a signal. Taeyeon sighed and looked at her old flat. She then nodded and left after Jiwoong. “Order! Three Bolognese Pasta and one Cordon Blue!” Dongwoon hanged the paper which contained the orders and yelled to the kitchen. “Hyesun, grilled the cheese! Bogum, prepared the pasta!” Doojoon commanded all the chefs and his assistants while he’s busy making Bolognese sauce. It’s a lunch time. And lunch time was the time where ‘Fiction’ Restaurant was flooded by the customers. Since the opening five years ago, the restaurant that served many kinds of Europe cuisines such as Italy and France cuisines was crowded since day one. First, Fiction was only crowded on the weekends and many of the customers were Dongwoon’s father’s partners. But, Fiction became popular fast because of its unique taste and its great service. In just one year, they had to widening the place and increasing the number of their employees. Fiction also already visited by food critics and writer both domestic and internationally. All the publications and good reviews made Fiction a must visited restaurant in Goyang City. Doojoon and Yoseob also named as two of best chefs in South Korea last year. And for this year, Dongwoon made himself through in top ten restaurant management list in Asia. As a head chef, Doojoon had a major role in Fiction’s success story. He involved directly in every dish that will be served to the customers. He had very strict rules. He will know if the dish was lack of something. Chef Yoon Doojoon and Ordinary Yoon Doojoon were two completely different persons. If Ordinary Yoon Doojoon was outgoing and fun, Chef Yoon Doojoon was so serious and perfectionist about his dish, he set a high standard for Fiction. And Doojoon’s competence was acknowledged because of his original recipe Special Bolognese Pasta and Cordon Blue. That happened to be two of the best dishes in Fiction. “I’ll die young if Fiction this crowded every lunch time. I may hate lunch time for the rest of my life,” Dongwoon whined. Now, they sat on the corner of the restaurant, having lunch. Fiction’s busy time was over so they could relax a bit because the customers that coming lessened. “I felt my body was getting old. I mean I like it when our restaurant was so popular and crowded. But, sometimes I just need a break. A little,” Yoseob wiped his mouth and cleaned up his lunch. “Stop whining already. It’s actually better that we’re busy like this, right? This is all we wanted after all,” Doojoon put a big spoonful of mashed potato to his mouth. “Yes. I’m grateful tho,” Dongwoon said. “Hyung, you know the building across our restaurant?” Doojoon nodded. “I know it. The soon become Music and Vocal Academy? I can see it from here.” “I heard the grand opening is March 9th” “That means,” Doojoon thought “it will be opened in three days?” “Yes. And people already talked about that place because Kyuhyun from Super Junior owned the place.” “Super Junior?” Doojoon lifted his brow. Dongwoon stayed mum because he realized talking about Kpop to his best friend that had lived abroad for a long time was such waste of time, his cousin, Yoseob also hopeless because Yoseob wasn’t a Kpop fan either. Well, Dongwoon couldn’t be said as a Kpop fan too. But, because he’s living in Korea, the news about Kpop that often bigger than any other news in and out of his ears occasionally. “Idol, hyung. Boyband, they are one of the biggest in South Korea,” Dongwoon uttered. “Oh,” Doojoon then continued his lunch nonchalantly. The sound of truck and heavy equipment made them turned at unison. Some construction workers were busy setting up the big board. They could see what written on that board as the workers finished their job. “Dreams Music and Vocal Academy, affiliated with Cho Music and Vocal Academy,” Yoseob muttered. “That’s a pretty big
