“Someday... Will you sing while I play?" he reads.
He gapes at her in shock, staring as she looked at him curiously, a gentle smile brightening her face.
Foreword
Jung Mirae is the younger sister of Jung Yunho. She was born to the CEO of one of Korea’s richest companies and raised as an heiress for one of Korea’s wealthiest families. Her father is a warm but strict man despite his cold image, always making time for his family and supporting his children’s dreams and passions. Her mother is a kind and gentle woman, a famous musician who left the limelight to support her husband. Nursing a dream of following in her mother’s footsteps and aiming to be one of Korea’s biggest singers and musicians, she has trained since the age of 4. However, at the tender age of 15, Mirae was involved in a tragic accident that threatened her life. Left with no other options, the doctors saved her at the price of her voice (even at the protest of her family), effectively shattering her dream of being a singer. She has been enrolled in SM Academy & Rehabilitation Centre for over a year to recover from her injuries, sharpen her other senses, and learn sign. Her brother also attended for rehabilitation after an accident of his own.
Kim Junsu comes from an abusive home. His mother died giving birth to him and he was left in the care of his father. At the tender age of 3, his father turned into an alcoholic, rarely coming home sober. It was during this time that he experienced his first beating (both physically and mentally). This treatment continued on for years. He wasn’t allowed to go to school or even step a foot out of the house. He grew up without knowing anything except how to care for himself, pain, and abuse. At 18, Junsu met an accident at the hands of his father. The beating was longer and more painful than the others. It was only then that the police caught his father, imprisoning him for domestic abuse, illegal gambling, and other cases. However, Junsu couldn’t be happy at the turn of events because as he woke up on the hospital the next day, he found out that his hearing was damaged and slowly deteriorating. He could no longer hear properly without the help of a hearing aid. He accepted to go to SM Academy to learn sign and other abilities to help him, and to hopefully make friends.
Other characters include members of TVXQ, JYJ, Super Junior, and SM idols. I'm not sure if idols from other companies will make appearances, but they might.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters except for Jung Mirae and other OCs that might linger here and there. I also own the plot. If there are any fics like this, then that's purely coincidence. I don't personally know any of the idols mentioned in this fic and my interpretation of them in this story is not their real personality. Things within the fic are purely fictional and should not be taken as facts.
