Summary: Jonghyun didn't get the memo about the costume party.

Minho knocks on the front door of the Kim household, his bright smile hidden under his red mask. It’s Halloween night and he’s taking his boyfriend to a party hosted by one of his soccer teammates. Minho’s especially eager because he hasn’t seen Jonghyun in two weeks. The whole living in the same part of town didn’t really count for much, seeing as they were still a forty-five minute drive away from one another. Minho doesn’t know how he’s lasted without seeing Jonghyun for so long.

Kibum opens the door, lifting one scarred eyebrow at the person standing on his doorstep in red and blue spandex.

So much for suprising Jjong, Minho thinks with an inward sigh. If Jonghyun had answered the door, he would have recognized Minho just by the line of his body. He lifts the red mask off his face, somewhat thankful for no longer having to breathe through the rubbery material.

“Oh it’s you.” Kibum groans. “Spiderman, seriously? What are you? Twelve?”

“Good evening to you too Kibum.” Minho knows Kibum has always been a bit jealous of his and Jonghyun’s relationship, so it doesn’t bother him when the slightly older boy makes rude remarks anymore. He steps inside the familiar house, eyeing Kibum’s surprisingly basic outfit.  Skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt and a black blazer. On Halloween?! This surely can’t be the flamboyant dressing Kibum he’s come to personally know over the past four months.

“So…no plans tonight huh?”

Kibum quirks an eyebrow at him. “I’m going to a haunted house…”

“But don’t you like…get super scared easy.”

Red flushes across Kibum’s face. It’s the first time Minho’s seen the boy experience anything close to embarrassment. It really surprises him.

“Jinki asked me to go…” he mutters, crossing his arms and looking about ready to walk off any second now.

In order to avoid unnecessary conflict between him and his ‘brother in law’ (as he refers to Kibum in his mind) Minho remains silent on the matter. He doesn’t need Kibum spreading rumors about him across tumblr again.
