14: Disappointment
[DISCONTINUED] Loved You (Before I Knew You)The ice cream truck had come around sunset, but Luhan had not wanetd ice cream anymore and Sehun hadn't bothered asking him if he wanted any.
The stiffness between them seems to double by the minute. Luhan doesn't know what Sehun is thinking (but Sehun knows what he is thinking is currently looking for a way to make things better) and it's making his head hurt. He had stopped taking photos after the sun has disappeared from above, and now the sky is a beautiful mix of orange and pink. They sit in silence with Luhan looking through his shots and with Sehun tapping his foot repeatedly.
"I had a date with Soojung this Monday." Sehun begins.
"Really?" Luhan asks, halting from looking through his photos to look at the pavement instead. He steps on a poor innocent ant. "How'd it go?"
"I did what you told me and we had a lovely time watching movies and getting fat together." Sehun supplies. This causes Luhan to laugh. It's short but it's enough to make Sehun feel a little better. "She said she would love to go on a date with you and me. That weird girl. But she's heading off to Milan from her little trip to Brussels as we speak."

Luhan should be glad for them, but he only manages to give his best friend a half smile that doesn't even reach his eyes.
"You shouldn't miss Soojung-nuna," he says, trying to lift the indescribable mood. "She's always right here." Luhan pokes Sehun on the chest, right where his heart should be.
He does not understand why the laugh Sehun emits sounds strained.
"Right." Sehun says, but Luhan thinks he doesn't look so sure.
They walk back to Luhan's building in silence so they could take Sehun's car instead; it's not that far from where they came from anyway. Night has fallen and Luhan isn't sure he would like to walk back from the restaurant later.
While Sehun drives them to their destination, Luhan bobs his head to the soft music playing from the stereo. "I've started tutoring Taejun by the way." He says, trying to break the silence between them. Sehun hasn't said a word since they've gotten in the car and the blank look on his face isn't something Luhan likes seeing. "Apparently he isn't dumb like what I had thought."
"Oh?" Sehun raises an eyebrow but he doesn't take his eyes off the road.
"Yeah, he's actually pretty good with numbers. And oh, get this: he said he didn't think I was taken." Luhan chuckles, shaking his head like it's the silliest thing ever. "And I explained things to him. He looked more happy than sympathetic when I told him we aren't like that. How strange, right?"
When he doesn't get any response from Sehun other than the tightening of the older's grip on the
