Chapter Five
The Fallen AngelShe gently sat on a rock overlooking a field. I sat beside her carefully as I find out for myself if I could sit on it. Surprisingly, I did. And it got me wondering why I couldn't touch my assignment but I could sit on things. Wait... it gave me an idea. I tried to pick up a small rock in front of me but failed. Sigh. I am starting to get frustrated with this angel thing. I cannot hold anything but I can walk on solid ground, sit, lean, or even lay down if I wish. And just when I thought I couldn't feel any emotion, I did. "Daniel... where are you?" I mumbled.
"Hello Seung Hyun!" Jenny greeted a little too happily.
"Seung Hyun? Again?!" I asked out in annoyance. "Is there nobody else you want to talk to other than that dead guy?"
"It's been a while since I've been here. I thought you might have wanted me to pay a visit on this very special place of ours that's why you decided to show up yesterday," beamed Jenny.
"Really now... this place is special for you?" I asked, still annoyed at her stubbornness. I looked around me and all I could see were fields and... fields... of grass. I wonder why this place became so special for her, for the two of them, when I can't seem to see any thing that would somehow make it special.
"I miss you... a lot. I hope you're doing okay up there," said Jenny casually, calmly.
Pffft. I hope she doesn't develop a habit of talking to thin air because who knows where she might end up one day. But seeing her relaxed as she is now, I just let her be... just for today.
