Chapter Two
The Fallen Angel"Hello!"
I greeted her, forgetting all along that she doesn't know of my existence. She suddenly stopped walking, turning her head from side to side.
"Had she heard me?" I asked out loudly.
I turned to her and was surprised to see her looking straight at me, unmoving.
"Can you see me?" I asked her.
She smiled a sweet smile and said, "You're finally here."
I pointed to myself as I stared at her. "What took you so long?" she asked, walking towards me now.
She stopped right in front of me and extended her hand. I was about to reach for it when a hand suddenly shot through me. I looked back and saw her bestfriend Minzy smiling back at her, explaining why she's late.
Sigh. For a moment there, I thought she could see me. That would be a big problem of course.
I then started to walk along with them, trying to absorb the feeling of being a guardian angel at work. I was getting the hang of it until someone tapped my shoulder. I froze. "Hey there," greeted someone. I turned around and saw another guardian angel, which I'm sure is Minzy's.
As you all know, everyone on earth has a guardian angel. It's just that we don't get to see each other walking with our assignments unless they interact with each other.
I almost forgot about it if I hadn't gotten my senses together. "Oh, hey..." I greeted back. "Are you..."
"Yes. I am Minzy's guardian angel," he answered, cutting off my question.
"How long have you been Minzy's angel?"
"Just recently. A week if I may say," he replied with a smile.
"I'm Mark by the way," I casually informed him as I extended my right hand.
"Daniel. Let's talk a bit more later, shall we? We don't want to get lazy at work, right?" replied Daniel dismissing my offer of a handshake.
