As I look out the kitchen window a bird flys past. I study its beautiful glides through the air as I try and collect my thoughts. 

"I was 14 when I saw him, he was my neighbor's best friend. But that isn't how we met. I met him on the last day of my first year  in high school. One of my friends wanted a picture of his best friend so I asked both of them to take a picture for me and they both said yes. Right from the start I liked him. It was as if something was awakened inside of me. His smile is what I loved about him. Whenever he smiled his eyes would get bright and he would drop his head a little almost as if his shyness overpowered him. "Maybe I'll see you around this summer." Was all he said as  they walked away. I didn't know his name then. 

Over that summer I found out that his name was Minjun. We became friends. I found out that our friends all knew each other but we never met. As the summer nights turned into colder days we became closer friends. As sophomore year began our days been together turned into lunch time together. Lunch time together turned in to phone calls and phone calls turned into text messages. He never knew what I felt for him."
