RED LIGHT: ACT ONE - Rebellion
Description
Joonmyun is sure that he's the reason all his friends are held captive in a giant laboratory-like facility. With days of endless prodding, poking, and exhaustion, death seems like a dream. Until one day, the facility is attacked by five mysterious girls. They claim that they 'saved' them, and freedom is nice, until they realize that the world isn't what it used to be.
This freedom also comes with a price, finding out that these girls lead Periwinkle, a big rebellion against the dystopian government. Now Joonmyun and his friends have a choice. Join the rebellion, or try to survive in the horrible world. But the decision seems to point only one way, especially when the government is searching for him and plans seem to be unveiled.

Alias: Victoria
Strength/Power: Leader, makes strategic moves. The only one allowed to deploy members. Used to be out on the field getting information but stopped after she had to take over as being the leader, Qian is the most secretive of all, and acts as a mother, keeping the group in check

Name: Liu Yiyun
Alias: Amber
Strength/Power: Tech analysist, hacker, gets information from the Internet. Yiyun barely leaves the homebase due to her having one of the most critical parts of the rebellion. She is the most playful, but can be serious and focused when it is needed.
Name: Park Sunyoung
Alias: Luna
Strength/Power: 'Brawns and beauty'. Sunyoung performs for shows as 'Luna' to keep people distracted, and if not, she's doing most of the fighting. Despite being the smallest in the group, Sunyoung is the strongest amongst Periwinkle.
Name: Choi Jinri
Alias: Sulli
Strength/Power: Actress, seductress. Used as distraction, Jinri can fit into any character she wants to, and seduce and man of power she needs to, if Sunyoung wont be enough to keep them busy. She is Soojung's back up if things go wrong.
Name: Jung Soojung
Alias: Krystal
Strength/Power: Weaponry/agility. Originally Qian's job, Soojung is the sniper and assassin of the team. If information is needed, she can sneak into areas and gather it. While under certain circumstances, she and Jinri will switch jobs.
Subject: Exoplanet Xenon-infused Obedient subjects, or E.X.O.
Status: MISSING
A group of twelve boys with a unique set of powers gained in what can only be called 'the incident.'

Name: Kim Minseok
Alias: Xiumin
Strength/Power: Frost. Although he doesn't look much like it, Minseok is the oldest of the twelve, shown through him being one of three with most control over their powers. He is most likely to join the strategic team, though his fighting skills are good too.
Name: Luhan
Alias: None
Strength/Power: Telepathy. Unlike Minseok, Luhan is one of the subjects with less control over his powers, meaning he has to have more control over his emotions. Although he has a short temper, Luhan is better at working with the computers in the tech room anyways.
Name: Wu Yifan
Alias: Kris
Strength/Power: Yifan has the most control of his powers, making him one of the strongest, but he feels useless and inferior to the group. He doesn't want to fail the group but hides these feelings under his cold exterior.
Name: Kim Joonmyun
Alias: Suho
Strength/Power: Water. Joonmyun is the the awkward, unconfirmed leader of the boys. He constantly feels pressured, which tend to be bad for his weak powers. He does weaponry with Soojung and, if needed, he can also go onto the field.
Name: Zhang Yixing
Alias: Lay
Strength/Power: Healing. Due to him being more of medical help, Yixing is not allowed to step onto field unless needed due to his importance. He has partial control over his powers, which can be bad in some situations. He works with Sunyoung in distraction, and sometimes with Soojung in agility.
Name: Byun Baekhyun
Alias: None
Power: Light. Baekhyun has little control over his powers, causing him to stay in the tech room with Yiyun. He is a big flirt to the girls, causing most of them to not want to work with him. Baekhyun is working on controlling his powers so he can join on the field.
Name: Kim Jongdae
Alias: Chen
Strength/Power: Lightning. Jongdae is the most immature for a person living in a dystopia, probably to make up the fact that he has little control over his powers. He can be strong in combat, but he works with Jinri and sometimes Sunyoung with distraction and seduction.
Name: Park Chanyeol
Alias: None
Strength/Power: Fire. Chanyeol is one of the only two members who know what happened to their family, as Sunyoung is his younger sister. He has partial control over his power, but they can explode at any time for reasons unknown. Due to this, Chanyeol stays in the tech room with Yiyun, Luhan, Baekhyun, and Sehun.
Name: Do Kyungsoo
Alias: D.O.
Strength/Power: Earth. Kyungsoo appears quieter than the others, but his deadly powers prove enough to show that he isn't a joke. He is the third member that has the most control over his powers, making him work with Sunyoung and Qian for fighting and strategy respectively.
Name: Huang Zitao
Alias: Tao
Strength/Power: Time control. When your stepsister is the leader of the most wanted organizations in the world, you have alot to live up to. Zitao has amazing fighting skills, probably better than Qian herself, but little control of his power. Because of this, Zitao does strategy with Qian while Sunyoung teaches him power control.
Name: Kim Jongin
Alias: Kai
Strength/Power: Teleportation. Jongin has not much control of his power, but enough to teleport to different places in a room. While he is the second youngest, Jongin can act mature one minute, and immature the next. He works with Sunyoung and Jinri in distraction, seduction, and fighting.
Name: Oh Sehun
Alias: None
Strength/Power: Wind. Sehun is the other to have barely any control over his powers, which causeshim to be more cautious than usual at times. Sehun works with Yiyun in the tech room, though he is mostly used as the errand boy for everybody.

Foreword
It was hot, Qian remembered. She was thirteen years old and had went to the baseball field with her younger stepbrother, Zitao, as usual. Their mom had lent them enough won to buy themselves a popsicle each. Zitao had gotten the strawberry flavored one, and she got coconut. It was a long journey, since the baseball field was basically in the middle of nowhere, as it was surrounded by field and trees.
Qian rembered the burning metal she sat on next to one of her best friends and block neighbors, Yiyun. They went here every week to watch the boys play baseball. They hadn't started yet because they were still waiting for Chanyeol, who had yet to make an appearance.
Qian remembered sitting under the blistering sun and staring up at the blinding sky. It was an especially bright day, and she had a feeling that today would be life changing. Boy, was she right, she would later come to think. Yiyun, meanwhile was yelling at Jongdae for telling her she couldn't play baseball with them.
"Only boys are allowed to play," Jongdae had said simply, "Or are you trying to tell us you're a boy?!"
"Why you-!" Yiyun growled, long dark hair flying as she ran to attack him. This resulted in her chasing him around the baseball field for five minutes straight as everyone watched in amusement. It had eased Qian's unsettled feeling she had in her gut.
Qian remembered Yiyun wiping the sweat off her forehead as she tiredly sat down next to her, while Jongdae limped back to the others, due to Yiyun kicking him in the gut. As the two caught their breath, two more figures appeared.
"There you are!" Joonmyun called out to Chanyeol. As the two came closer, Qian recognized the other as Sunyoung, Chanyeol's younger sister. She grinned and waved at the younger girl.
"Sorry," Chanyeol apologized as Sunyoung ran up to Qian and Yiyun, "I had to bring Sunyoung today."
Qian remembered Sunyoung climbing onto the bleacher next to her and greeting the two cheerfully. The younger girl had turned eight recently, and as a gift, not only could she go with Chanyeol to the baseball field, she got a treehouse.
"Hi Sunyoung!" Zitao greeted cheerfully, making Qian proud that her brother had such good manners. To his disappointment, Sunyoung stared at him with a blank stare.
"Do I know you?" She asked calmly. Yiyun snickered as Zitao's face fell into confusion.
"Sunyoung, me, you and Kyungsoo have the same teacher!" He pointed out.
"Oh yeah," Zitao's face brightened but dropped when she continued, "Hi Kyungsoo!"
Qian remembered trying not to laugh as Kyungsoo waved back at her while Zitao made a groaning sound. The two turned back towrds the group, where Yifan and Joonmyun, declared leaders, were picking team members. Oblivious, Sunyoung turned towards Yiyun.
"Good job, 'lil buddy," Yiyun cheered, high fiving the giggling Sunyoung.
"Wait, you were acting?!" Qian yelled in shock. Sunyoung nodded with a cute giggle as Yiyun laughed loudly, "You should be an actress."
"No thank you Qian-unnie, but I wanna be a dancer when I grow up, acting is more of Jinri's thing." The eight year old said.
"Hey jiejie! I get to pitch today!" Zitao called out to her with a large smile on his face. Victoria cheered him on with happiness while Yiyun and Sunyoung talked about little girl things.
Qian remembered how quickly time passed, because soon they were on the third inning, and if Chanyeol hit the ball far enough, Team 'K'(Qian still isn't sure why they named it K) would win the game. If not, Team 'M'(Qian isn't sure about the origin of this one either) would beat them instead.
Chanyeol wiped the sweat off his brow while Sunyoung cheered him on loudly. Qian had rooted for Team M, Sunyoung Team K, and Yiyun decided to cheer for both.
The sky had turned slightly darker, but Qian brushed it off, as she told herself they were just clouds. Zitao lifted a leg up, clutching the baseball, before he threw it with all of his might. Chanyeol his lips, dug his heel into the ground, and then swung.
Chanyeol hit it.
The boy quickly ran across the bases as the other team raced for the ball. Base one. Base two. Base three.
Team K had won.
With a loud cheer, Sunyoung ran down the bleachers, almost tripping as ran towards her older brother. They both hugged, and he swung her around happily.
Team M, were luckily, not sore losers like how they used to be. Although upset, they congratulated the winning team. Qian walked up to Zitao and clamped a hand on his shoulder. He jumped, but calmed as he realized it was only her.
"It was your first time as pitcher, don't sweat it," She said casually. He stared up at her in surprise, "Tao-tao, I know you think it's your fault, but remember, it was your first try, a really good one too, and there's always next time."
He looked at the ground before giving her a genuine toothy grin. He thanked her before running towards Yifan to ask him if he could be pitcher next time. And he would, Yifan was a er when it came to Zitao.
Qian remembered what happened next the most. The sky had gotten unusally dark, and before she looked up, her gaze landed on Yiyun, who was still standing on the bleacher, but this time staring up at the sky in shock. Her gut twisted as she felt wary and scared.
Slowly, her head lifted to the sky, to see what could only be described as an asteroid of some sort. Qian no longer felt scared. No, Qian felt terrified.
Then she decides she doesn't want to remember what happened after that.
A/N: Hey you guys, I've been planning this story for about two months and a half now, and I finally have enough of the plot that I finally decided to put it out! I have act 2 planned out, and a f(shinee) prequel. This is probably darker than the prequel, but basically everything about the plot is dark, it's a dystopia.
Act 2 will have a LOT more violence/action and lots of shipping, while this act, act 1 has alot more of development. The prequel will be more lighthearted, I mean enough for a dark story. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the intro for Red Light Act One! If you have any ship suggestions, go ahead!
