“Can I tell you a secret?” Chanyeol asks Jongin quietly. They’re cuddled together on Jongin’s top bunk, Chanyeol’s feet hanging over the edge. They don’t normally cuddle, but they are both a little drunk still, from a night out. 

“Sure, hyung,” Jongin slurs against Chanyeol’s shoulder.”

Chanyeol rolls onto his side, sniffs Jongin’s hair. It smells like BBQ and the room is spinning. It’s not romantic, but Chanyeol feels brave. “I like you.”

Jongin snorts into his shirt. “Oh, I’m your favorite this week?” The words hold little malice, because Chanyeol knows its true. He picks and chooses who he hangs out with on a weekly basis.

Instead of refuting him with words, Chanyeol tips Jongin’s head up and kisses him.

“Oh.” Jongin whispers as they part. Chanyeol doesn’t open his eyes and wonders if this is when he goes flying to his death as Jongin kicks him off the bed. Instead, Jongin’s mouth is on his again. 

It’s perfect.
