Stealing Princess
Master TheifIt was the night of the princess party. The police forces were granted permission by the king and royal guards to attend and help secure the party. The king was confident that no one dangerous would be able to get to the princess. His guards had always protected his family from harm. Yongguk was not so confident though for some of the places Dehyun had stolen from we're supposedly the most secure and guarded.
The palace is enormous. There are multiple rooms and floors. With a place this busy, Yongguk was certain that Daehyun would sneak his way in among the guests. Yongguk and Zelo had their eyes on the look out. Anyone suspicious or covering their face was worth checking. The first floor had people entering so Zelo stayed on the lookout there. The queen was on the second floor while the princess and king were on the third floor. Yongguk stayed on the third floor Yongguk looked over to the princess. She was dancing with her close female friends and there were guards close by.
"Exactly what was Daehyun's plan to kidnap the princess?" Yongguk thought to himself. He kept an eye on the princess as well as checking possible escape routes. The only way he'd be able to take the princess with him would concealed and hidden on a cart without anyone noticing. That's been the method he had used for stealing heavy objects thus far. Yongguk paused his thought. Then again he was carrying a heavy fish around... Who knows what his lifting capacity is.... Whatever diversion trick he was going to use, Yongguk was certain he wasn't going to fall for it, he kept his eye on the princess the whole time.
"Haha~" Two of what must've been the princess's friends were chasing each other down the hall. One of them didn't look where they were going and ran into Yongguk. He caught her in his arms as she almost fell forward on her face.
"Are you okay?" He asked her.
She blushed when she looked up at him. "I-I'm f-fine" she stuttered.
"Anna come on!" Her friend gestured and ran by.
"Okay!" She replied to her friend. She faced Yongguk and bowed and then joined her friend in the princess group.
Yongguk had kept his eyes on the princess even as that girl ran into him. That girl ... was gorgeous but Yongguk knew that she was probably a child which is why he ignored the attraction and just focused on the princess. A couple of hours passed and nothing had happened yet. It was a waiting game just like at the museum last time.
The princess was still dancing with her friends. The king watched on affectionately and was joined by the queen. Zelo also came to the third floor.
The lights shut of suddenly.
"Kyaaa" the girls in the center of the room screamed and were surrounded by the royal guards. The lights turned back on. It was just a few seconds. The princess was still there as well as the king and queen. Daehyun was no where to be seen. Yongguk frantically looked around. He had anticipated the blackout but nothing happened. Had Daehyun failed...? No that wasn't it..
"Secure the princess and send her to a safe location!" The king commanded.
. Yongguk thought.
"Wait stop! This is probably what he wanted. He might be among the guards!" Zelo tried to stop them.
"What? Are you him?" A guarded another.
"Kyaaa"
There was screaming and chaos. People were running about and the ladies all scattered. Yongguk tried to make his way to the princess but at the corner of his eye he saw the girl from before shoved and lose her footing out the window.
. . Yongguk hurried and reached out for her but couldn't prevent them from falling. They landed in the pool. She was splashing about and Yongguk swam her out of the pool.
"Are you okay?"
*cough* *cough* "yes.."
As cruel as Yongguk didn't want to be he didn't have time for this. He got up and heading back inside.
"Bang."
He instantly turned around and saw the girl on perched on the cobblestone wall. She was lit by the moonlight with a crown on her head.
Daehyun smirked and said, "I'm the stealing princess." He then leaped onto the other side and out of sight.
By the time Yongguk looked over the wall, Daehyun was gone. He successfully pulled off the heist he planned. The note wasn't just a hint, but was also a divergent trick.
