CHAPTER 029: Studying And Jongdae    Papa and Nana have been going on dates for the last two days. Reason? Papa is going to leave back to China. Bigger news? Nana might be going with him.           "You can't do that."           "Oh, Lucy, honey. Yes, I can. It's only for two weeks! To go back and see my house and my family-"          "We are your family!" Kris groans out.          "Yifan is right, Nana. You'll get bored over there! That's the main reason that you came here with us, didn't you say you wanted me to take care of you?"    Nana rolls her eyes, "I'm old, leave me alone. It's just a small trip and then I'll come back."          "No!" Kris and Lucy say in unison.          "Jesus Christ! You two are the worst grandchildren ever! You are so stubborn! When I get back to China, I am complaining to your parents!"          "You're not gonna complain, unless it is by phone, because you're not going anywhere. Take a seat, Nana," Lucy says.    Nana sighs, she looks serious. "Listen kids, I'm still gonna go to China for two weeks. You can't stop me, losers.  I gave birth to your parents- without me and my uterus, you two boiled eggs wouldn't be here."    Kris gasps, "Well damn, Nana. Rude much?"          "Nana," Lucy cuts in, "You're too old to travel alone and I'm worried. You don't need to go."          "I'm still gonna go," she holds her hand up, "And if you two try to stop me, I will hurt you."    Kris thinks that Nana sounds a lot like you.    They both watch their grandmother go up the stairs to join Papa in packing his suitcase because he is leaving tomorrow. Yet, there is that huge feeling that Nana will indeed tag along with him.          "She's going crazy...She's a lot more fragile than Papa, I don't want her traveling alone." Lucy crosses her arms, brows concentrated trying to think of something, "Why has she turned into such a rebel?"   Kris narrows his eyes in suspicion, "Oh, I know why. It's Hana. That chick is a bad influence."         No one is able to stop Nana and so you all are forced to wave bye to Papa and her at the airport.        ********************

It's four days later, on a Tuesday, that the tutoring takes place at your home.

"Who's coming?" Your mom asks, as she puts on some shoes to go out with Lucy. They're gonna go shop for some furniture since Lucy's house should be ready in a couple of months. They said they just need to build the terrace and paint it.    The house almost being done also means that Kris and Nana will need to move out with the couple, and you don't know how to feel about that.          "Everyone from school," Kris says for you.    Your dad raises an eyebrow from where he's sitting down next to Kris on the couch.          "You have friends?"   You sigh under your breath, because you don't even know the answer to that.          "Stop being so mean!" Your mom scolds your dad, then she turns to you, "It's awesome that you made new friends! Want the adults to leave the house today to let you kids study in peace?"   Kris smiles, "You would do that?"   Your dad gasps as well, "You would do that? For real? Do you even know what could happen if you left a bunch of teenagers alone?"    Your mom shrugs, "Hana is responsible. I trust her."    Your dad then nods in a approval, "Right... Sometimes I forget that Hana is a party pooper. If something happens while we're out, she'll probably snitch."    Kris snorts and you sigh. Your dad is a bully.            *******************           "Yifan!"           "What?!" The boy screams from upstairs. You look up from the living room and glare. "Do the kids know that you live with me?"    Kris walks down the stairs and faces you, shrugging as an answers. "They should know. I told them a while back but they didn't believe me."    You don't say much to that. Eunsul and Chanyeol know that Kris is temporarily living with you for personal reasons, but you don't recall the other kids knowing.           "When are they getting here?" Kris asks.    You look at your phone to see the time, "They should be here any minute."          "Then why haven't you gotten dressed yet?"    You look down at yourself. You're wearing a plain white tee and a pair of jean shorts, your feet covered in socks. "I am dressed."    Kris glares you down. "There's gonna be a lot of boys here..."    You roll your eyes, "You're worse than my dad. Plus, I'm not showing anything. Stop being an idiot. I could wear whatever I want. It's my body."          "I know that," Kris says, "But your shorts are too... Short.."    You smile, a big fake smile, "That's great! Just how I wanted them!"    Then you push him off and walk past him to the kitchen.    Kris is still glaring at you as you pass him by.    He gets a text when you're out of his sight and he open his phone to see that it is a text from Luhan.    He's coming on November. And it's the ending of September, he's coming soon.            ***************                 "They're here!" Kris says from the living room, a popsicle on his mouth, making his words incoherent.    You take a deep breath as you hear the doorbell sound ringing throughout the house. It takes two seconds before you start making your way towards the door, Chanyeol's voice sounding through the door out of nowhere.          "Hello?" Chanyeol says from outside, and just as his voice is heard, Kris jumps from the couch and runs towards you, wrapping an arm around your waist as you open the door.         "Hana! Hello-" Tao's words are cut short when he sees Kris' tight grip on you.    You glare at Kris through the corner of your eye, but the boy is not looking at you, but at the people in front of you two. All the boys are here with their school bags, but there is no sign of Eunsul yet.         "Glad you guys made it safe and sound," Kris says and his hold tightens. All the kids stare at his arm around you and it's Chanyeol that points it out.        "I didn't realize you guys were so close," he says with a calm voice, though there is the revelation of his slight tense jaw and hard eyes.    You pride Kris' arm away from yourself, keeping a close eye on Chanyeol's. You don't push Kris' arm away harshly and so Kris doesn't feel as offended, but when he looks at the way you're looking at Chanyeol, something happens to his chest.    Am I getting a heartburn? What's going on?    He wonders what affects him most: the speculation that you might like Chanyeol (which he has had for a while) or that the speculation of you liking Chanyeol somehow bothers him a lot more than it should.         "You guys all came at the same time?" You ask, curving Chanyeol's question.    There's a mumbling of, "Yeah" "Surprisingly" and "Chanyeol drove us here" and so on.        "Oh, okay," you say and then awkwardly move away to let everyone in the house.         "You look good with normal clothing," Jongin says and you try not to blush.         "Thanks," you smile at him and he smiles back.         "Nice house," Sehun says as he looks around, "Looks comfy."        "Thanks, make yourself comfortable."         "Do you have a dog?" Jongin says.    Kyungsoo sighs, "Jongin likes dogs."        "I do," Jongin smiles.    You shake your head, "My parents never allowed me to get one."         "Why not?" Jongin asks and he looks genuinely sad.        "Well," you begin to say as everyone sits down around the living room, "My mother thought that it'd distract me from studying and waste my time when I could be doing better things."         "Oh my gosh," Tao gasps, "Is your mom like one of those mean ladies in Korean dramas that don't let their kids do anything fun and tell them that they need to become doctors instead of having fun and so you're forced to hide your romance with the other main protagonist until you face your fears and face your mother?"    You don't know what to say to that, and so Chanyeol does.         "She's a good lady, she's just very strict when it comes to Hana's education."         "How would you know that?" Kris says from next to you, as the others adjust their sitting and put down their backpacks.          "Because I know Hana longer than anybody else in this room," Chanyeol frowns, as if it was suppose to be obvious. He starts setting up some books he brought on the coffee table.    Kris doesn't say anything to him directly, but when he walks towards the kitchen, he mumbles some things under his breath.    All the kids begin to take out their notebooks and you notice that there are a couple missing.          "Where's Eunsul?" You ask.    You look over at Sehun, "Do you know?"    Sehun shakes his head, "Why would I know that?"          "You went on a date with her..." You say, slowly and unsure.   Kyungsoo raises a brow and Tao gasps.          "A date?" Tao screeches, "You went on a date with Satan?"    Sehun tilts his head in a frown, "Not really... It was more like I went over her home while she was alone and we-"        "Okay, that's enough," Chanyeol interrupts, giving Sehun the stink eye, "We don't need to know your ual escapades with Ms. Criminal, okay?"    Sehun smirks. You gape at him.        "Anyway," Chanyeol continues, "Where's Suho and the other kids? They're suppose to be here as well."         "Suho, Baekhyun and Minseok can't make it," Kyungsoo says, "Suho is at a family dinner, Baekhyun is visiting his grandmother and Minseok has a date with his girlfriend."   Kris enters the living room with a juice box at this moment and he points out the obvious, "Where's Eunsul? I thought the criminal would be the first to come."    Jongin frowns, "I don't know anything about her. I only know that Yixing and Jongdae will be here later since they're walking their way here."         "How come?" Chanyeol asks, "I could have given them a ride like the rest of you guys."         "That's nice and all, Chanyeol, but we didn't even have space in the car," Sehun grumbles.          "Hey, maybe if the rest of you got a car then maybe I wouldn't have to pick you guys up like a personal driver," Chanyeol glares.    Tao huffs his cheeks, "I can't afford to pay for a car, Chanyeol."         "Then why are you complaining-"        "We're just saying-" Sehun intervenes.          "Guys!" Kyungsoo yells, "You're fighting." He looks at Sehun and Tao, "Stop being rude. And you," he looks at Chanyeol, "Thank you for giving us a ride here. Now shut up. You're all annoying."   Jongin smiles and hugs Kyungsoo, "You're just so squishy and grumpy all at once!"    There's a sudden car honk coming from outside and it makes Kris choke on his juice.         "Who's that?" You ask, ignoring Kris' coughs.    Chanyeol shrugs, "I'm not sure. Jongdae nor Yixing have cars."    You and Chanyeol stand up while the rest just make themselves comfortable in your living room.    When you open the door, you see a beautiful black Wrangler jeep with four doors standing on your driveway.         "Umm.." You be

Chapter 34: Started to read this story yesterday, must admit that it affected my night. Had a hard time sleeping, couldn't stop reading. You are a painter with words, just as in the story about April. Love your way to describe people, you make it possible to me to visualize everyone, even Nana and Papa. You are a great writer, keep up the good work.

Chapter 33: I could sing praises to Hana for how mature and calm she approached this subject with chanyeol. Let's be honest, this is HOW we wanted to act when we're in this kind of situation. Literally an ideal one. Hana you're amazing. I love her character.
