THE UPDATES
09 SEPTEMBER 2014: so. we know we're starting and moving along with this story at the pace of a snail, but please forgive us. senior year of hs and studying to get into a professional school are some hard work ;; we only have one application so far, but we hope to see a lot more in the future! there are also a couple of teasers coming your way to see how we write, but if you want to see how -catalyst writes (since she'll probably end up doing most of the writing anyways ;;), go check out her stories in her profile deal. please don't get discouraged by how much she has up since there will definitely be lots of time to write for this story (after she takes her major exam). anyways, while we get the teasers ready, we hope more people will eventually apply. we have high hopes for this story since it's not going to be written like the typical idol story, so... ;u; (there will currently be no allkpop articles within this story)
16 SEPTEMBER 2014: okay. the first teaser is up! we have also decided that -catalyst/lyst/ree will do a majority of the applicant reviews since -lightsaber/light is currently really busy with her senior year of school right now. the story is undergoing some type of revamp, so please excuse how the layout looks right now ><
28 SEPTEMBER 2014: we have received 4 applicants! yay! but they're all female? where are the males at?? we're only accepting two other females and then three males ;; unless we have to switch it depending on the outcome and deadline date. also, let me know if i'm (ree) being too harsh with reviews or something? i've seen so many idol group apply fics, so my standards are a bit higher to what i want to see in applications ;; so...? also, the next teaser is up. now we're just trying to figure out what else to write about without revealing much ;;
10 OCTOBER 2014: as most of you probably heard, lu han has filed a lawsuit for nullification of his contract with sm entertainment. he is also the love interest of my character in this story. honestly, it's hitting me hard (my poor soul ;;) and he will still be the love interest of my character (kinda, she just might end up alone. who knows?). he may or may not make as many appearances as the others', depending on how the story will go, but their own story will develop as everything goes on. another teaser, or maybe even a chapter, will showcase what is going on within kb entertainment concerning the news about all these idols and the misfortunes that has happened within the (terrible) year 2014. the release of that is uncertain because i've decided to take a break with writing any story for maybe a month at most ;;
03 NOVEMBER 2014: a deadline has been decided! the deadline will be on uniq's chinese leader zhou yixuan's birthday, which is 11 DECEMBER 2014. we hope it isn't short notice, but we want to see some apps and have something to do after both author and i participate in nanowrimo. we've come up with some ideas for this story already, but we can't start it without all seven members present. i think the beginning of this story will start predebut, then debut, then life after that. i still need to discuss with author about that. wu yifan and lu han are still doing their own thing, sulli is only doing fashion king appearances, red velvet is apparently getting backlash, tiffany/nichkhun and baekhyun/taeyeon are still dating, born hater is awesome, uniq is awesome, yg is getting it.
06 NOVEMBER 2014: HAPPY BIRTHDAY WU YIFAN. pls ignore future updates if you've already applied because co-author will just be bumping up the story to give reminders and see if there's anyone else who wants to apply ;u;
21 NOVEMBER 2014: i hope there are still people wanting to apply ;; there are three weeks until the deadline!
06 DECEMBER 2014: please read the note at the bottom of teaser three!
09 DECEMBER 2014: due to exams week and just the general busy time of this year, we have decided to push the deadline back to 29 DECEMBER 2014. (oh hey, that was the day jongdae was formally introduced to the public as chen, otl) we have already chosen one applicant, and i'll simply reveal that person on 11 december 2014 instead with their own small teaser. also, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
11 DECEMBER 2014: first applicant is revealed! check the note at the end of teaser four.
20 DECEMBER 2014: nine days left! (any more male apps?)
27 DECEMBER 2014: i'm two days late, but MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY. HAPPY HOLIDAYS. there are two days left for this apply, and then it's closed. but if someone asks for an extension, we will allow five days but only if you ask. we are currently busy until january 4 or 5, so ;; there are possible extensions. simply ask and you shall receive. i'm probably going to release a teaser for each chosen applicant so please bear with us when this does officially close. ♥
31 DECEMBER 2014: the story is officially closed! except extensions? i haven't talked to -lightsaber about that yet. anyways, it's the last day of 2014, and i'm pretty sure everybody is glad to see this year go ;; we won't have any updates until after january 4th, so until then, HAPPY NEW YEAR. spend it joyously and safely. see you in the new year ;u; ♥ ree and light
29 JANUARY 2014: the second character has been chosen. read the a/n at the bottom carefully! and please let me know if you want your character to be something else other than a trainee; ie. makeup artist, cordi-noona, etc. if you don't specify and you're still subscribed to this story, you will be an automatic trainee who will feature in every 2-5 chapters.
THE FAQs
Is it possible to apply twice?: yes. you can apply as a male character and as a female character, but try to refrain from creating twins or siblings. you can make your characters friends, but we still haven't decided if both has a chance of debuting together or one could be chosen for a later group.
