“Wow you’re really good at basketball, Kris.”

A ball swished through the hoop with ease before bouncing back to the hands of the owner.

“Thanks Baekhyun. It’s not that hard. You should learn sometime then we could play together.”

Baekhyun laughed nervously at the idea but didn’t say anything in return.

“I could teach. I can’t promise I’ll be a good teacher but I can try.” Kris offered as he took his eyes off the hoop for a moment and flicked his wrist.

As he walked towards Baekhyun, the ball fell through perfectly once more as it hit the ground and rolled away.

“I’m really not that good Kris.” Baekhyun confessed. “It’s better for the both of us if I just watched you.”

Kris frowned.

Baekhyun sighed. “Fine! But I warned you.” He got up from the bleachers to join Kris on the court.

“Alright, all you got to do is line yourself up.” Kris demonstrated the position. “Bend your knees, watch the angle of your elbow and throw it.” He threw the ball and once again in it went. “Make sure you end with you wrist bent, almost like a swan’s neck.” He let Baekhyun examine his hand before it was Baekhyun’s turn to try.

“Alright, like this?” Baekhyun lined up just as Kris had shown him. He bent his knees and elbows before tossing the ball towards the hoop. It missed.

Baekhyun frowned as Kris got the ball once more.

“No you got to flick your wrist. Watch the corners on the backboard.” Again Kris showed him what to do and in it went, perfectly.

“Ok. I think I got it.” Baekhyun tried to cheer himself on as he took the ball in his hands once more. He aimed, bents his knees and arms and shot. Again, it missed.

Kris let out a loud sigh.

This repeated for a few times before Kris grabbed the ball and threw it against the backboard as hard as he could to get some stress out before catching it again. He released his breath and brushed his hair back before looking towards Baekhyun once more.

“Let’s try this a different way.” He walked up to Baekhyun and grabbed him. He moved his body in to the correct position as Baekhyun babbled about the new contact that was going on between them.

“Now!” Kris began once more; this time Baekhyun’s back was pressed against his chest with Kris’ long arms puppeteering Baekhyun’s.

“Kris… I don’t know about…” Baekhyun tried to come up with an excuse as the physical contact made him embarrassed.

There was a reason Baekhyun watched all of Kris’ games. There was a reason Baekhyun would watch as Kris would practice on his own, watching the sweat glisten on his jawline and with Kris so close he was afraid the secret would be out.

“Kris… I really think we should…” Baekhyun tried to get out of his embrace.

“Just trust me Baekhyun. You can do this.” Kris encouraged.

“No it’s not that…” Baekhyun continued to push away until he weight cause the both of them to lose balance and then both landed on the ground.

Baekhyun winced under Kris’ weight. But when he opened his eyes, he couldn’t help but notice how close Kris’ face was to his. He couldn’t help but notice his soft plump lips that breathed gently onto his cheeks.  Baekhyun closed his eyes for a moment trying to grasp the moment. He want to take the chance, by why ruin everything?

When he opened his eyes again, Kris was still there, still leaning over him, lips still close to his.

“Are you ok?” Kris asked with worry. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

Baekhyun grunted as he tried to sit up, Kris’ hands acting as a guide as he sat up. His hand brushed Baekhyun’s head, making sure his head wasn’t hit.

“I think I’m ok.” Baekhyun answered after a moment.

“It doesn’t hurt any where, does it?” Kris asked concerned.

Baekhyun looked up at Kris. It hurt to have him so close and yet so far. But he couldn’t form the words to say that. He doubted he ever would.

“I’m fine.” Baekhyun tried to push away, but once again Kris’ arms were around him once more.

“Slow down. Don’t get up so fast. Let me help you.” Kris stood up first taking Baekhyun’s hands and pulling him towards his chest.

Baekhyun let himself fall forward and into the giant’s chest, stumbling forward.

“Are you ok?” Kris asked, steadying Baekhyun with one of his hands.

Baekhyun frowned. He wanted to stay here, but he couldn’t. He knew he couldn’t and that hurt more than any physical pain he could endure.

“I’m fine.” Baekhyun pushed away once more and headed towards the bleachers. “I told you not to teach me.” He shot at Kris as he walked away.

“Wait!” Kris shouted grabbing Baekhyun and spinning him around. “Is this what this is about?” Kris started to sound angry but after getting a glimpse of Baekhyun’s face he was lost for words. Kris’ face fell as naturally his hand met Baekhyun’s cheeks wiping the tears away.

“What’s wrong?” Kris sympathized.

“You won’t understand!” Baekhyun pushed it away.

Without another word, Kris grabbed Baekhyun with all the force he had and pulled in into his chest. Baekhyun struggled at first. He tried to push away, but in the end gave in. He cried into Kris’ shirt as Kris wrapped his arms protectively around him.

“I understand more than anyone could.” Kris ruffled his face into Baekhyun’s hair as Baekhyun’s arms wrapped around Kris’ waist.

Kris smiled at the action before pushing the boy away. He examined Baekhyun’s face, before leaning in and kissing him lightly on his forehead.

“You don’t know how much I wanted to kiss you when you were under me.” Kris smirked devilishly. “But I can wait.”

Baekhyun frowned and pushed him away. “Who says I wanted you to wait?” Baekhyun folded his arms with a pout.

Kris grinned before grabbing the boy in front of him once more. “Then I guess that means I can just take what’s mine!”

He leaned in once more kissing Baekhyun full on the lips.
