Description

The year was 1940, China was in the midst of war.A young girl's fate was just like so many others before her; to be married off.

Yanchen's family marries her off to the wealthy Lu family to pay off their debts, just that the Lu's only son is dead.

Yanchen goes through hardships and along the way gains friends,saves a broken family,finds herself and maybe, just maybe finds happiness.

Similar to all drama and films, here is The Ghost's Bride's ost, to set the mood for you to fully experience the story.

Foreword

Ghost marriages were pretty common in China, wealthy families would have ghost marriages for their dead unmarried sons to provide him with progeny to continue the lineage and to provide him with descendants, this was especially important to the chinese so that they could carry on the family name and to honor their ancestors.Unmarried daughters were an absolute dishonor to her family in patriarchal early modern China,hence, the start of our heroine's story.

Chapter 8: This fic intrigued my interest because it took on the theme of ghost marriages. It's nice to read a historical AND supernatural fic at the same time. And I absolutely love how accurate your timeline is!
