Sorry for the late update! I sort of got stuck part way through this chapter for some reason... -____- 
But it's longer, I think! :D That's a plus! I wanted to fit the date into a whole chapter.

The next morning went by as usual, except with added awkwardness. Every time Kyuhyun so much as looked at Sungmin, he'd find his cheeks heating up and the inability to think straight. This wasn't good. How on Earth was he supposed to get through tonight if he can barely pass through the morning?

Okay, so maybe he insisted to Sungmin that it wasn't a date, but it may as well be one with the way he was feeling.

So here he was, sat in his work office staring into space, only stopping to glance at the clock every now and then. As the time grew nearer, Kyuhyun started to panic more. He'd never been this nervous before! So why now of all times was it deciding to be mean?

He is supposed to meet Sungmin at the cafe at roughly 6pm. It was currently 4.30pm, which was the time he was supposed to leave at to get prepared, but he really didn't want to go. Of course he was excited to see Sungmin! It's just his nerves that were failing him...

“Leeteuk!” Sungmin cried.

Leeteuk hummed in response. “What's wrong?”

“I don't think I'll be able to make it through tonight! I've never been on a 'date' before!” Sungmin pouted.

“You'll be fine! Trust me!” Leeteuk gave Sungmin a sweet smile and a reassuring thumbs up.

“And how would you know that?”

“Like I said before, just trust me.”

Sungmin had spent a good time of his day thinking of Kyuhyun. To be honest, he isn't even sure what his feelings are for him. He knew what it felt like to love something in a friendship or family sort of way, but relationships he wasn't so good on.

He knows what love is like in movies, he must admit he's fairly addicted to those types. He's also pretty fond of fantasy love stories and miracles, but his own personal love life contained absolutely no experience...

Leeteuk's been obsessing for the past hour or two about the 'date'. He's also been trying to calm Sungmin's nerves, but so far his efforts have been futile.

Kyuhyun stood at his front door. He was dressed formally, a classic black suit and tie with a white shirt. Although, he couldn't help but feel he was a little bit over-dressed for the occasion. They're only supposed to be meeting up for a little bit of casual chit-chat, not proposing over a candlelit dinner!

Kyuhyun sighed. He really hadn't planned this out properly...The least he could have done was ask Sungmin what HE was going to wear! But no, because usually you know what to wear. But in Kyuhyun's case, he didn't even know if it was a date or not!

It's times like this he wished he'd at least asked Sungmin for his phone number...

Kyuhyun was told to pick Sungmin up from the cafe. After all the fuss of what to wear, he finally decided on just a plain, casual shirt with simple black pants. He'd gone for something not too over the top, yet not sloppy either.

The ride there was fairly nerve racking for Kyuhyun. He'd even told Sungmin himself it wasn't a date! So why was he acting so nervous and shy? It was just a little get together between two friends. Nothing else.

As soon as his car turned the corner, he saw him. There he was, leaning against the cafe wall, a far off look on his face. He was wearing dark coloured jeans with with a pink/red jacket over the top of his t-shirt.

As soon as his car pulled up to the curb, Sungmin's full attention was drawn to him, his cheeks taking on a pinkish hue.

Kyuhyun got out of his car, a sheepish smile on his face.

“Are you ready to go?”

“Yeah.” Sungmin smiled sweetly.

Just as Kyuhyun was going to turn to go back to his car, he realised, 'Where the hell am I even taking him?!'. Obviously he'd managed to let it slip his mind...

“Ah...Is there anywhere in particular that you want to go?” Kyuhyun asked quietly.

“Hmm, I don't know. What would you like to do, Kyuhyun?”

After some thought, Kyuhyun finally asked Sungmin if he'd like to just go somewhere to eat, to which Sungmin agreed to straight away.

Kyuhyun took him to a pretty little restaurant nestled in a not very well known area of Seoul. Kyuhyun was familiar with some of the workers there, so he figured this would be a good place to go.

They didn't talk much. The whole meeting was slightly awkward. Every time Sungmin asked him something, it would just so happen he had food in his mouth, so he'd have to fight to swallow it so he could answer Sungmin.

They talked about themselves, just barely scraping the surface of their personal lives. They only settled for the basics like interests and hobbies.

He found out that Sungmin liked playing guitar and that he sometimes does little shows in bar that a friend of his works at.

When Sungmin asked him about what he likes to do, Kyuhyun couldn't think of anything he could possibly say. He's usually so preoccupied with his work he never doesn't actually do anything he enjoys.

Sungmin seemed quite shocked when Kyuhyun told him that. So a good part of the night went by with Sungmin recommending him things he could do with his free time and how they should meet up with each other more. Sungmin's last sentence made Kyuhyun feel all fuzzy...As clique as that sounds.

So here they are now. Sat back in their chairs, empty plates and cutlery laid out in front of them. It was now nearly 7pm and Kyuhyun was stuck on whether Sungmin wanted go somewhere else or whether he just wanted to go home now.
 

“So...What do you want to do now?” Kyuhyun asked, not daring to even look at him.

Sungmin seemed to be thinking for a while, a far off look on his face. His eyes wandered for a while before coming to rest on the window, flashes of headlights from passing cars and the occasional person walking past. Kyuhyun almost predicted straight-away what Sungmin was going to suggest.

“Why don't we go for a walk?”

So here they were, wandering down streets, making sure not to stray to far from the restaurant they were just in.

The air had icy chill to it, and Kyuhyun's face contained a pink hue from both the cold and how close he was next to Sungmin. Their arms woulds occasionally brush, and even the slightest touch was easily felt by the both of them.

Kyuhyun found himself stealing glances at Sungmin (and making it fairly obvious). They continued to walk at a casual pace and making small talk. Just as Kyuhyun was part way through a sentence, he noticed Sungmin's hands. The cold was obviously getting to him and he was constantly rubbing them together to keep them warm due to the fact that he didn't have any pockets to put them in.

Kyuhyun thought carefully about his next move, trying to dare himself to do it. Finally, he took a chance and placed his hand out in front of Sungmin. Sungmin took the hint and grasped onto it. The touch made the both of them feel giddy inside and a smile took place on Sungmin's face.

Kyuhyun massaged his fingers against Sungmin's for a split second before placing their joined hands into his pocket.

“...Sorry that I can't do anything about your other hand.” Kyuhyun kept his voice low, looking straight ahead.

Sungmin smiled anyway. “It's fine! Thank you anyway.”

They carried on like that until they started walking back into more familiar surroundings. They'd somehow walked in a circle and ended up back at the restaurant.

Kyuhyun glanced at his watch and saw that it was getting a little late.

“Want me to take you home now?”

Sungmin nodded “Sure.”

The drive to Sungmin's apartment was peaceful with Sungmin happily giving directions. He also seemed to find extremely funny when Kyuhyun would accidentally go down a wrong street miss a turn.
Sungmin lived quite out of the way, so took a while to reach their destination. They pulled up to a cute, neat, little apartment with plenty of well-kept flowers with a very homely feel to it. Straight-away, Kyuhyun knew it was Sungmin's. It fit him perfectly.

Sungmin hopped out of the car, Kyuhyun following. They walked around to the front gate before Sungmin decided to talk.

“Would you want to come in? I could get you a drink or something.”

Kyuhyun thought about it for a while before deciding against it. It was already quite late, and he still had some work to finish.

“Sorry, but I'll have to pass-” Sungmin's expression seemed to fall ever so slightly, Kyuhyun noticed, “-but I'll definitely come next time!”

“Okay!” As soon as it came, the frown on Sungmin's face disappeared.

Kyuhyun couldn't help but look at his lips. He took in the way they curved into the perfect smile and how they held a cute red-ish colour. He couldn't help but lean in slightly. Sungmin seemed to be expecting something as well, because his breath hitched and his eyes widened ever-so-slightly.

Just as Kyuhyun face was just a few centimetres away from Sungmin's, he froze and realized what he was doing. Quickly regaining himself, he thought quickly and planted a slight kiss against Sungmin's cheek instead of his original idea.

“See you later...” Kyuhyun whispered close to Sungmin's ear before turning around and making his way to his car at a fast pace, leaving Sungmin still at his gate with his hand brushing against his cheek, a girly, lovestruck smile planted on his face.
