I figured I didn't post something last Chrsitmas. I hope this isn't yet late for the season, hehehe. So please forgive me? LOL

I am writing this while streaming Phantasia in Bangkok so I apologize if there are mistakes and such and and and I apologize it's LONG. hahahaha

A ring of the doorbell woke her up from her slumber.  She checked at the clock that was peacefully sitting on her bedside table.

"Who could that be?"  It was pretty early and she was planning to spend her first day of Christmas holiday on bed until her girlfriend picks her up for the long overdue dinner date.

She waited until the ringing of the bell stop hoping the person who is at her door will realize that no one is home and will eventually leave her house.

The 5 minute incessant ringing told her that the person won't be going anywhere until she opens that damn door.

She unwillingly dragged herself out of the comfort of her bed and headed downstairs to get the door but not before stopping by her bathroom to fetch her robe to cover her night gown clad body to whomever is in her door.

"What do you want?"  She asked no one in particular as she made her descent to the stairs tying her robe tightly, not willing to show anyone (except her oh so hot girlfriend) what was underneath the robe.

She opened her door and groaned in annoyance as she was greeted with a grinning SooYoung, her friend.

"So unwelcoming. Good Morning to you!" SooYoung greeted way too enthusiastically in her opinion.

"What do you want?" She asked with annoyance.

"Won't you ask me to come in?"

"It's way too early in the morning and I ran out of food thanks to your last visit yesterday so no, I won't ask you to come in."

"Don't be so butthurt about it. Besides, it's 8 AM, since when did Tiffany Hwang stayed in bed 'til that time?"

"Stop exaggerating, I stay as late as 12 nn on bed."

"Ah you're right but that is only when your girlfriend stays over. And could be later than that when you try to satisfy your insatiable craving for ." SooYoung laughed which caused Tiffany to roll her eyes.

"What do you want?" Tiffany asked steering the conversation away from her wonderful life.

"Oh yeah! Speaking of your girlfriend, Yuri sent me here to deliver something."

before Tiffany could open to ask questions, SooYoung dashed back to her car, opening the back seat and seemed to be retrieving something. After few seconds of rummaging at the back seat, she emerged with a bouquet of pink and red roses.

"A special delivery from your lover" SooYoung said with a smile on her face as she handed the bouquet to her.

"What's this for?" Tiffany asked in confusion.

"Uhh I don't know, I was just ask to send this. Ohhhh and before I forget..." she went back to the car, opening the driver's side and retrieved a pink envelope.

"Here she said I shouldn't forget this." she released a sigh of relief. "Good thing I remembered or else she'd kill me. Why can't she just text or call you instead of writing?"  She asked Tiffany which just laughed at her friend's situation.

Tiffany went back inside her house, leaving the door open for her friend to come in.  She went to the living room, placed the flowers on the coffee table before sitting and opening the envelope.

The familiar penmanship made her lips twitch into a wide smile.

To My love,

I know what you're thinking, but please let me just be corny, cheesy and over the top just for this season. You know how I love Christmas season but you do you know I love you more? A bouquet of beautiful flowers only for my beautiful girl.

I got you Pink roses because obviously, they're your favorite flower and color. But those are not the only reason why I got you those.  I've recently found out that Pink roses is associated with feeling of gratitude and appreciation. I am thankful of your existence alone, for your attentiveness, for caring, for understanding and for simply loving me.  And I appreciate every little thing you do for me my love, I appreciate you.

And red roses mean symbolizes romantic love. And that's what I am with you, romantically, crazily in love. I love you with every inch of my being and I don't ever want to be apart from you.

I love you so much, love and I can't wait for later's dinner. I'll miss you til then.

P.S. I told SooYoung to leave you be as soon as she hands my gifts for you but just in case she's still in your place and rummaging your fridge please feel free to kick her out and get some good rest. I'm sorry I had to send our crazy friend instead of personally going to you but you know hospitals do not know holidays. Anyway, kick her out, and I love you so much.

She put the letter back in the envelope when she sees her friend sitting on the couch eating a tub of icecream.

"It's still early to have some ice cream, you know."  Tiffany commented.

"Not really. I'm guessing you liked the present judging from your better mood and creepy smile." Her friend retaliated.

"MM. But as far as I know, you were supposed to leave my property as soon as you hand these to me. So why are you still here?"

"You and your girlfriend are ungrateful you know that?" SooYoung grumbled as she closed the tub to put back in the refrigerator.

"Am I still ungrateful if I ask to eat breakfast with me, my treat of course. Call it a little "thank you" for being the delivery woman."

"Go and shower me and my ice cream will wait for you." SooYoung said as she sat back in, feet up while Tiffany could only laugh at her friend.

"Last night was fun FYI, she's always sweet and lovely.  I wish she didn't have to go back to the hospital after dinner though."  Tiffany pouted at the phone as if the receiver can see her.

"What? I thought she was already on her leave?" the other line asked.

"Nah, that's starts on the 24th. I'm just thankful I could spend Christmas eve with her." Tiffany stated understandingly.

"Dating one of the most sought doctor ain't easy huh?"

"It's worth it though." she smiled dreamily at the thought of her girlfriend.

"You could've just approved her leave earlier and longer, you know."

"And what? Raise suspicion of favoritism?"

"So? It's not like you do it often. Plus you can just fire those gossip making staffs of yours."

"It's not that easy."

"It is! You're the daughter of the Medical Director, you own half of the shares of the hospital and you can do the you want."

"You want your leave or not?" Tiffany threatened.

"Jeez! I can't joke about these stuffs anymore? I'm sorry Dr. Hwang." The other line snickered.

"That's more I like it! But just so you know Dr. Lee, the decision is not mine to make but of my parents alright?"

"But you could put a good word for me that could help me with my long overdue vacation."

"That I could certainly do. Hey I gotta go, someone's at the door. Call me when you're not busy."

"To check up on your girlfriend? She's still in the operating room just so you know."

"You got me." Both of them just giggled at their randomness. “I gotta go now."

She hung up and headed to her door to see who it was.

"Oppa? What brings you here?" Tiffany said as soon as she sees the visitor and immediately pulls him into a warm hug.

"I was in the neighborhood when I decided to stop by." The man said without making an eye contact.

"Oppa, you do know, I know when you're lying. You're no different from your sister." she teased as they headed inside the house.

"Okay fine. Nothing can get past you huh?"  The man said as he hands out the paper bag that he has been holding to Tiffany.

"What's this Oppa?" she asked puzzled.

"My super busy sister asked me to hand this to you today before she went to work."

"Yuri did? What for?"

"I don't know. I think she left a note in there."

"Oh okay I see, thank you."  She said as she placed the paper bag on the couch "What do you want to drink oppa?"

"No, I'm good I just stopped by for that. I've somewhere else I need to be."

"Really? Thank you. I'm sorry for the inconvenience oppa." She told the man apologetically.

"It's nothing at all. Like I said, I was in the neighborhood anyway." He gave her a hug before he headed out.

Tiffany sat on the couch, took the paper bag and opened it.  She saw the black case and knew instantly what it is.

She reached out for the pink envelope first and opened it.

To My Love,

Thank you for last night love, I had fun. I am sorry I had to go back to the hospital. Duty calls, you know that right? Anyway, I sent Jun oppa to hand you this. I hope you haven't ordered this today (Knowing how you spend your free time :D) . I saw your browser yesterday were you planning on buying them? Well, got them for you my love. No special occasion, and I figured you need them so you'd stop blinding people with that beautiful bright smile of yours.

Please wear it when you're outside so you won’t blind other people with your smile. I'm the only one allowed to be blinded by your smile, alright love? I'm possessive and you know that. I love you so much.

She could only smile at her girlfriend's silliness. She stored back her the letter to the envelope, took the eyeglasses from its case, wore it and snap a picture of her.

Got it, does it look good on me? How was the operation? Thank you, love. I love you.

"Mommy?"  She asked as she made her way out of her bedroom.

"What are you up to baby?" She asked as soon as she saw Tiffany, she enveloped her in her arms for a warm hug. Tiffany couldn't help but laugh and just return the pressure.

"Missed me much, mommy?"

"Sure did honey."

"Mom, it was just a week since we last saw each other."  She rolled her eyes at her mother.

"So? Doesn't mean that me and your daddy didn't miss you."

"Alright, I missed you too, mommy. Wait! I thought you won't be back until after Christmas?"

"Yeah, but we thought it was better to spend Christmas with you, so we came home as soon as the convention ended." Tiffany couldn't help but feel happy at the news.

"So what did you get me mommy?"

"That's what you all think about?" She gave her daughter a fake disappointed gasp.

"Of course not Mommy."

They settled on the dinning kitchen as she handed her mom a cup of tea to drink.

"How's Yuri? Will you be seeing her today?"

"She's okay Mommy, still sweet as ever. I'll be stopping by at the hospital today."

"Wait, I thought you both asked for a leave?"

"Yeah, since there are three attendants in our department, that's why I got mine. But since Yuri and daddy are the only attendants and trusts no one not even his residents but Yuri to touch his patients and perform bypass surgeries and mitral valve repairs, she's been in and out of the OR. She refused to resched daddy's patients, she said it's the least she could do for them for this Christmas season."

"Aww I'm sorry for that honey. Your daddy will get a lot of scolding from me."

"It's alright mommy, it's not daddy's fault. Yuri understands he needed to go in to that convention. But as her daughter on the other hand, he better makes sure to keep his credit cards out of my reach." Tiffany laughed at the perfect revenge for her father.

"I think I could give you a hand in that."  Her mother said as she finished her tea.

A doorbell interrupted the comfortable silence between the mother and daughter.

"You're expecting someone sweetie?"

"Not really."  She said as she made her way to the door, her mother in tow.

She opens the door and was pleasantly surprised to see her dad on the door.

"Daddy?"

"Hi sweetie! I missed you!" He hugged her only daughter. "Your mom's here?" he said eyeing the car next to his.

"What's this, visit your gorgeous daughter day?"  She remarked although feeling happy to see her parents.  No matter how old she is, she's still their little princess when she's around her parents.

"I thought you're going to stay at the hospital and make your rounds?"  His wife inquired.

"I did. But Yuri got everything under control.  I'm supposed to be taking over the patients today but she said I should get some rest since I still haven't slept and all."  The only man in the house explained.

"That stubborn woman." Tiffany mumbled under her breath."Why did you let her take it? That's her 2nd surgery today and it's not even lunch yet. Good thing it only took her a good three hours with her patient earlier." She sighed as she worried about her girlfriend.

“I tried but you know she’s just as stubborn as you are."

"Oh well she's in overdrive once again, so I blame no one but you, daddy!"

"Why put this on me, princess?"

"Why couldn't you trust anyone but her? You handed all your patients to her, why can't you give some to other residents like Dr. Cho or Dr. Kim?" She complained sulking, she just wanted a free time for the both of them.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, but isn't that a good thing? Besides, it's a Thoracic Aortic Dissection Repair, she can handle it." Her father asked while her mother just watched them with s smile on her face.

Tiffany groaned in exasperation. Another long and complicated surgery for her girlfriend.

"Why do your patients always have the most complicated cases?" She asked her father.

"They won't be seeking for him if their cases aren't complicated honey." Her mother told her daughter in a proud way.

"And that's why I only trust my daughter in law to handle them." Tiffany's eyes widened at the words her father used to address her girlfriend while her parents only laughed at her.

"Why are you so surprised my dear, it's only logical to call her daughter in law.  You've been dating since you were in med school and that's 5, 6 years ago already."

"8 years daddy." Tiffany corrected but felt her heart skip a beat with joy regarding her parents' warm acceptance.

"Yeah, that's what I said." This only filled the room with laughter.

"Why don't we go eat lunch together since your dad is here with us. I bet you don't have anything stuck in your fridge for me to cook anyway." Her mom suggested.

"Let's go, I owe you at least lunch for taking your girlfriend's time." Her dad joked.

"Not just lunch daddy, you owe me a Christmas shopping spree."  Tiffany said with delight, in which his father only shook his head in response.

They got in his father's car to get themselves a bountiful lunch.

"Honey, I almost forgot, the bag there beside you is for you." Her father said looking at her in the rear view mirror.

Tiffany opened the paper bag and saw the familiar box.

"You got me a new stethoscope, daddy?" She said as she excitedly opened the box.

"Oh my gosh! Daddy!" Tiffany squealed loudly at the sight of her new stethoscope. "Wow! It's gorgeous! Thank you Daddy!"

Her parents laughed at their excited daughter.

"But that's not from me sweetheart. Yuri asked me to buy it since she can't find that particular design here."

"SHE WHAT?!" she asked in surprise.

"Honey, volume please! But yeah she insisted on paying even I told her not to.  She said she saw it online but shipping would take time and won't make it on Christmas, so she asked with reluctance."  Her dad said with adoration.

"Really?" She asked, her girlfriend is seriously something.

"Yeah! I brought it over in the hospital to hand them over but when she found out that I'll be going over your house, she asked to bring it for you. She's already rocking the blue one." He chuckled at the excited look of Yuri when she saw the stethoscope. "I think she even left a letter for you."

"It's not just blue dad, it's carribean blue."

"IT's just the same honey, it's still blue”.  His father joked but Tiffany wasn't paying attention anymore. Her hands are already busy opening the familiar pink envelope that she has been receiving for the past three days.

To My Love,

How do you like your new raspberry pink with rainbow finish stethoscope? I'm sorry it took me a while to find stocks.  When I found out that your parents were heading to UK, I took the opportunity to have it shipped in their hotel room instead of here in Korea, it would come faster since they'll be coming back after Christmas but hey they came earlier which is good, right? By the way, I'm already rocking the Caribbean blue one, can't wait to have you back here to flaunt our couple stethoscope to. Sunny and Taeyeon would be freaking jealous. Anyway, won't make your dad wait for me for too long, you still coming over? Gotta go now love, surgery coming up.

I love you, always.

"So you visited her at the hospital yesterday?"  Her friend asked as she carefully brought the cup with hot tea in it near lips. "And you didn't even find the time to say Hi to me?" Tiffany just chcukled at her jealous friend.

"I only brought her dinner and I pretty much left after she ate. She looked so exhausted. Good thing daddy will take over his patients again tomorrow." Tiffany explained before tasting the strawberry shortcake that is in front of her.

"Where is she now?"

"Still in the hospital taking a nap before she makes her rounds. I'm actually going to pick her up and drive her to her house."

"Her house and drive only? Not staying over?"

"Nah! She needs her rest, she's gonna have to wake up early for an elective valve replacement tomorrow morning."

"Elective? Why won't she just reschedule?"

"Her patient needs it and you know her, she'd rather sacrifice to save a life." Tiffany said admiration.

"I'm sure you're going to do the same if it was you." Her friend stated. "How's your leave going?"

"Boring!" She immediately answered.

"Can't wait to have your hands holding a scalpel again?" her friend joked.

"Yeah, plus everyone is busy.  I only asked for this leave so that I could spend time with Yuri but you know it's complicated in her case."  she explaied sadly.

" to be the girlfriend of one of the two most sought after cardiothoracic surgeon in the country huh? Not to mention the other one is your father."  Her friend laughed.

"Yep!" Tiffany agreed with a smile, "Also a lot pressure since a lot is expected of me."

"And you surpass all the expectations. Plus everyone adores you, your residents are head over heels, your interns are practically kissing your ." She added and they both just laughed.

"Who said that? I'm pretty sure you didn’t hear that from your department.  But let me make a wild guess, a certain midget from my department who happens to be your girlfriend told you, right?"  She joked.

"Watch your mouth missy!"  A voice from behind protested.

"SoonKyu!" she exclaimed excitedly at her friend slash colleague.

"I certainly did not blab about it. She just happens to be a very good observer."  She countered as she kiss the girl in front of Tiffany on the lips.

"How are my patients doing?" She asked Sunny.

"Very well, I've discharged Mr. Yang after draining his colostomy bag and..."

"Can we not talk about work right now?" The other girl protested.

"What's up with you? I'm just asking."

"Taeyeon lost  Baby Shin, earlier today."  Sunny said solemnly, then comforted the affected girl.

"Yours and Yuri's patient? The one with TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot)? I thought you operated on her?"

"Yep that one but no, the parents refused further treatment"

"I'm sorry Tae." Tiffany said emphatically understanding full well how her friend is undergoing.

"It can't be helped sweetheart, you and Yuri did your best. Besides, it’s the parents who did not want further for their kid." Sunny comforted.

"Well, yeah anyway can we talk about something else?"

"Sure thing!" Sunny responded before pecking Taeyeon on the lips. "Dr. Kwon, asked me to give you this."  She then said as she opened her bag and brought a small pandora labeled box and a very familiar pink envelope.

"What's this again?"  Tiffany asked to her friend.

"I don't know she just asked to hand you this since we're going for a coffee."  Sunny explained.

"Where does she even find the time to buy these?" she asked herself while examining the little box.

"I'm guessing she spends all her free time online shopping."  Taeyeon joked.

Tiffany opened the box and saw a bracelet with decorative charms in it. She then opened and read the letter next.

To My Love,

I would've bought you from Tiffany and co. but I think this would be meaningful because of the charms I've chosen. Let me tell you what they mean. So first of course it's understandable, or zodiac signs; Leo for you and Sagittarius for me. The one in between our zodiacs, the silver charm with a row of linked hearts, it means deep feelings of love and care cause that's what is between us, love and care. The rose-pink moonstone is associated with love as well. And the last charm is given as an appreciation, it symbolizes deep and abiding feeling of gratitude because I am nothing but grateful to you my love.  For taking care of me even when you pulled an all nighter in the operating room, for being patient with me, being my partner in crime, for making happy all the time, for bringing out the best in me, for believing in me but most of all thank you for simply loving me.

I love you.

"Time to eat, come on I'll cook anything you want." Tiffany said while freeing her self from the arms that were tightly wrapped around her waist.

Tiffany was awaken by a peck on the cheek and a warm body spooning her this morning.  She's aware that her girlfriend hasn't slept so after she gave her a quick peck on the lips, they cuddled and both fell asleep.

"I'm not hungry, let's just stay here. I've missed this. I've missed you" She mumbled as she buried her face on her girlfriend's neck.

It's been a week since they last held each other like this. Tiffany let her be for few more minutes for she also has missed this kind of serenity and calmness with her girlfriend.

"You stay here and get some more sleep, I'll cook something, okay?"

"No sense without you here." She said groggily.

"But love, you need to eat.  You haven't even had your breakfast." Tiffany argued, rotating her body in her girlfriend's arms so she's now facing her. She gave her a peck on the cheek before she made her way out of the bed.

"I'll come with you, love."

"Yuri, you sleep here."

"No, I'll come with you."  Yuri persisted. She followed Tiffany out of the bedroom and reached for her hand and held it.

"Why are you so stubborn?"

"I'm not. I just missed you okay? Oh! And you're wearing it!"  Yuri exclaimed excitedly and lifted Tiffany's hand to look at the bracelet she has given yesterday.  "Suits you well."  She smiled and kissed Tiffany's forehead.

"Thank you, but seriously why do you keep sending me gifts?"

"I told you, it's my way of making up for my absence,."

"And I told you, I don't need you to make it up. It's okay and I understand."  Tiffany protested.

"I want to, please love just please? It's Christmas and it's the season of giving! And I like giving and not receiving so don't you dare Tiffany."  Yuri warned her knowing that her girlfriend would just twist her words and would end up receiving as much gifts from Tiffany as well.

Tiffany just didn't argue with her girlfriend's logic and just let her be for the mean time, she's gonna plot her revenge on Yuri some time soon.

She made her way to the kitchen to cook something while Yuri made her way to the living room.

"Oh love! I almost forgot! Got you something in the fridge!" Yuri shouted from the living room.

I opened the fridge and true enough there's a box of Ladure'e with a pink sticky note attached to it.

Love,

Got you your favorite macarons on my way to the hospital yesterday, I forgot to hand them to you. A box of colorful sweets to the only person that gives color to my life. I love you a lot.

Tiffany was touched knowing Yuri was exhausted yesterday when she picked her up to the hospital and brought her home.

She made her way to the living room and found Yuri lying on the couch reading from her cellphone. She took her phone and leaned down to kiss her girlfriend.

"Thank you."  She whispered.

Yuri pulled her down and connected her lips to Tiffany's once again. They looked into each other's eyes and there was nothing but adoration and love in them.

"You're always welcome."

"You should probably sleep instead of reading you know.  I'll wake you up when I'm done cooking."

"Yeah sure, I'll just read some updates from my emergency patient last night."  Yuri explained before pecking Tiffany's lips once again. "Thank you."

That explains why she didn't get a sleep, she had a patient and since she was on call last night, she w
