Jonghyun hyung's gift came with a letter attached. I open the letter first, personal notes and messages, they're awfully important to me. Maybe because I rarely get them, but they're special.

Happy birthday! It's been about three years since we've met, time passes quickly, doesn't it?  We'll be debuting soon.

Kibum-ah, you're amazingly talented and such a sweet person but you never seem to talk to me, or anyone else, for that matter. Does anything bother you? You can talk to me, because hyung will always be here for you. Don't cry by yourself! It hurts more. It's better to cry with others around.  Take me as an example. Don't I cry a lot? You always see me cry. I'd like to see you when you cry, too, then I can comfort you.

Think more highly of yourself, okay! I know sometimes you think you do things badly but that's not true, you're better than lots and lots of people and you're really great at everything, how many people can sing and dance and rap, and have beautiful looks to top that all off? People say mean things sometimes but they're just jealous of you. 

Take better care of yourself, alright, don't work too hard. You look tired lately, rest well! Sleep is important, you need sleep to grow tall. Eat well, too, don't get too skinny! Most importantly, think happy thoughts and be happy!

Have a happy 17th, Kibummie, always remember that Kim Kibum is beautiful :)
