"You're late again, Heechul"

“By 2 minutes! *sigh* i know, I'm sorry. It won't happen again. 약속(I promise)”

His superior just nodded at him. Heechul has managed to be a diligent worker ever since he began working there. Even though he's known for his strong personality, at work, he was just a normal guy and everyone loved him. He was always helpful and even though he was late once in a while, they just let it slide because before he came, the place was as boring as hell. Thanks to him, it got brighter and more workers were happier.

“Hey, a bunch of us are going to get a drink after work, wanna come?”

“Maybe next time, i got plans later” Heechul said as he turned his computer on

His co-worker just smiled and tapped his shoulder then went back to work. Heechul sat at his desk and continued, what he tried not to think was boring work, before his boss came.

After hours of nothing but boring paperwork, he looked up at the clock and it was finally time to go home. He sighed and packed up his things. HIs co-workers invited him once more and he declined with a smile again.

With his bag over his shoulder, he held on to a handlebar of the crowded subway with his headphones on. It was another tiring day and all he wanted to do was head home and play computer games.

“How was work?” Leeteuk asked

“You know, file this, photocopy that...normal boring stuff...how can people live like this every day?” Heechul said

“Well you had the choice, either that or military duties” the older one said

“You're right… Oh well, you're next haha~” the younger one said

“I'm trying to postpone it as much as I can...but I'll definitely go in at the end of this year” Leeteuk said

“Why not just get it over with? Like me” Heechul asked

“I'll go someday...so more computer games tonight?” asked Leeteuk

“You know me too well”

With that, Heechul turned his computer on and planted himself on a chair and started playing. Leeteuk just nodded and patted the other on the shoulder before heading out.

“What time is the flight again?” Dana asked

“Look at your ticket” her manager said without even looking at her

“I know how to read!” she said loudly

“Then why are you asking?” he asked

“Because I'm paying you to do things for me” she said, annoyed

“I'm your manager, not your slave. Do it on your own!” he said

“Geez, you’re cranky”

She suddenly turned sweet and hugged her manager who was annoyed at her at the moment. She acted nice all of a sudden.

“Don’t be mad~ I'll buy you hot pot when we get there~” Dana said, trying to be sweet

He looked at her with a half-smile and sighed. He has been her manager for almost 10 years now and he knew how to deal with her already.

“You should stop buying my love with hot pot” he said

“So you're not mad?” she asked

“You better make that hot pot a big one!” he said

The boarding call for their flight to Chongqing came through the airport speakers and she quickly stood up, leaving her luggage. Her manager just sighed and brought it with him and followed her to the gates.

Getting settled in the plane beside her manager who was storing their baggage in the overhead compartment, she looked out the window and sighed.
