Useless Prince Charming
Useless Prince Charming
“And so they live happily ever after. The end.” Sehun said as he put down the book. Hayoung stared at him from across the table with a slight frown.
“Why?” Hayoung mumbled under her breath.
“Why what?” Sehun asked, leaning towards her face and moving the bangs out of her face. Hayoung leaned back to her chair and sighed.
“Why didn’t Cinderella just…leave? Like she has nothing to lose. I mean, she’s great at everything so she can easily go find a job or I don’t know…be a house maid! She’s already a house maid at her own home so she could just find another house maid job outside AND get pay for it too!” Hayoung exclaimed loudly. The librarian glanced over at her harshly and Hayoung mumbled an apology. Sehun chuckled, earning a kick from Hayoung under the table.
“Ouch!” he said as he rubbed his leg. “Maybe…she likes the cute little mice?”
“Why would anyone choose rodents over become successful? “ Hayoung asked.
“Well, if she becomes a successful business woman like you suggested, I don’t think Prince Charming will be able to find her.”
“Prince Charming is useless.”
“Hey! My nickname in school is Prince Charming!”
“You’re useless, oppa.”
“This brat.”
Sehun groaned in pain as he received another kick to his legs from Hayoung.
“I’m just saying, Hayoung. Believe it or not, people sometime choose love over work.” Sehun said with a teasing smile. “And you’re a girl, aren’t you supposed to be all smushy and romantic?”
“No. You can be the smushy romantic type.” She grinned.
“Why me?”
“Because, you’re into more romantic stuffs than me?”
“No. I’m not! I’m a boy! I’m not into those things!”
“Fine. Stay as Prince Charming then!” Hayoung stick out her tongue at him.
“I will!”
“Be useless then!”
“I will!”
“Go find your dependent, weak, and unsuccessful Cinderella then!”
“I already have!”
“Go—wait what? Who? When?” Hayoung asked while whining. “ Tell meeeeee! I didn’t know you have a girlfriend.”
“I found her…that doesn’t mean I got her.” Sehun said rolling his eyes and chuckled.
“So much for being charming. Who is she?” Hayoung asked leaning closer to him.
“Someone.”
“WHO?!” Hayoung said loudly, earning another hard glare from the librarian.
“Why do you want to know so badly?” he asked with a smirk.
“Tell me please?” Hayoung asked with a pout. “No, you’re not going to tell me her name no matter how much I ask. Tell me why she’s not into you! I bet she was able to see your creepiness, wasn’t she?”
“This girl! Of course not! She can see my charming self, but….”
“But?”
“But my Cinderella is too independent and strong-willed. She doesn’t care or need her Prince Charming. She thinks he’s useless.”
“Oh.”
“Yeaaa…”
“I see.”
“So…do you wanna go out?”
“Sorry, I have a business meeting to attend to. I am very successful you know.” She said with a laugh.
“Yah!” Sehun pouted. Hayoung smiled and nodded her head shyly while mumbling “yes” under her breath. He grinned and quickly leaned over the table, giving her a kiss on the lips.
“I just said yes and you kissed me already?” Hayoung raised an eyebrow, yet Sehun can detect a hint of blush on her cheeks.
“Nope. Cinderella and Prince Charming kissed right after their dance. So…should we get married next?”
