Unexpected Husband
2 days later after full rest in home Kris recovering from his sick, he begin to work again. Tao not going work because library still closed under repairing. He was alone in home.
“I love holiday. It’s been a while since I get ‘mytime’. So, what I’ll do now? Aha, watching my favorite drama.”
Tao run to kitchen grab potato chip, choco pie, soda and water. He bring it to living room, searching remote and turn on the TV. When he was start to watching, someone coming.
*Ding Dong*
‘Who is it? Kris? But he said will be back at 5 p.m.’
*Ding Dong*
“Coming, coming.”
*Ding Dong*
“Would you be patient? I’m coming”
Tao feel annoyed. He running to the door with full speed. When he open it, someone push the door before he can fully open it. Tao tripped behind the door, that guest directly come in to his house.
“Yah, Kris. What took you so long to open it?” That man said with anger.
“I feel sad, library closed and now where I can.....” That man start rambling, after know in front him doesn’t Kris, he silent.
“Who are you? What are you doing in Kris home?” That man asked to Tao, he look confused. He offer his hand to help Tao stand again.
“Excuse me. But I must the one asking who are you?
Don’t you know it’s a crime intrude directly come to someone home? I can call cops” Tao said. He doesn’t like his guest.
“I’m sorry. Where’s my manner. I’m Kai. Who are you? Where is Kris? What are you doing in here?”
“I’m Tao. This is my home, so I live in here.”
“What? I don’t remember Kris sold his house.”
“Kris doesn’t sold this house to me. We live in this house together. He is my husband.”
“Hah? What about Lizzy? Is he get over from her now?”
“Lizzy? Who is she?” Tao asking Kai. He curious.
‘Uppss. My bad tounge, my mouth, I must seal it later. That was close.’ Kai thought before speak again.
“Nevermind. Just forget it. Where’s Kris?”
“I believe he in his office now. He say he’ll back at 5 p.m. its mean in 20 minutes again, you can wait for him in living room.”
“Ah, okay. I’ll wait him.”
“Would you like something to drink? Tea, coffe or water?”
“No, no. I don’t want bothered you.”
“I insist.”
“Anything. I’m okay with anything. Thank you.”
“Okay. Have a seat.” Tao point to sofa in living room.
Tao go to kitchen to make his guest drink and bring it with snack to living room. He give it to Kai. They drink in silence.
“How long you two married?” Kai begin to speak.
“Almost 4 month.”
“Ah, I see.” Kai silent again.
“So, why are you come here?” Tao asks Kai.
“I almost forgot about it.” Kai drink his coffe again
“I think you said about library before. Why? What happen?
I mean, I don’t want to invade your privacy. You maybe don’t want answer it. I’m sorry.” Tao feel little guilty.
“Ah, just a little problem. It’s okay, just that damn library get closed so I can’t going there.”
“You don’t hear news? The library will closed from today until next month. They have major repair. You don’t know?”
“No. I don’t know. Arrrgh, how I can survive until next month?” “Why you looks like miserable? What happen?”
“Promise me, you’ll not laugh?” Kai cheek is reddening.
“I promise.”
“I’m looking for someone. Honestly, I don’t know who is he.
I meet him once when I accidentally tripped to him. I just know he work at library from his uniform.
From that moment I can’t erase him from my mind.” Kai tell his story.
“Waow, waow, waow. So you said you falling in love with him in first sight? Even you don’t know who is he? I can’t believe it.” Tao say in disbelief.
“Believe me. I know that feeling, and that’s not good.” Kai cover his face with his hand.
“Maybe I can help you. I work in library. I’ll introduce you to my co-worker, so you can see who is he. How about you come to my office when lunch time?” Tao offerring his help.
“You ing kidding me. Are you serious?”
“I’m not kidding. I’m serious.”
“Okay. Give me your phone number. Thanks Tao. You don’t have idea how happy I am now.” Kai hug Tao tightly.
“Can you release me now? I can’t breath.”
“Okay. Thank you Tao. You’re my hero.”
“You’re welcome. Now release me, I must prepare dinner. Kris will be in home soon.”
“Tao, I’m home. I see shoes in front, are we have guest? Who is co.....” Kris freeze, he see Kai hugging Tao.
