"We forgot to order desserts!" I try my hardest to sound surprised.

Minhyuk looks at me like a lost child. His face says it all. No wonder, he ordered just the buttered eel dish. It was the cheapest, meaning this restaurant was out of budget. I feel guilty with what I just ate. As soon as I gave the order to Louis, I take all the cash in my wallet and discreetly hand it to Minhyuk. He tries to return it but I push it back to him. He sighs heavily and couldn't even look me in the eye as he takes it shamefully.

We stay in deafening silence as we step outside the restaurant. He keeps his distance from me as we start to walk.

"I'm sorry. I can't think of anything else." I hear my voice echo as he looks at me. Wordless. Then he looks away, as if he didn't hear a thing that I said.

"Talk to me." I turn his face towards me.

He looks away again then walks away from me.

"KANG MINHYUK!" I shout loudly which awarded us both suspicious looks from other people.

He walks back to me and grabs my hand. I can feel his hand shake as we make our way across the sea of intrigued people. He lets go of my hand as we reach an empty street, where he doesn't feel any single eye on us anymore.

"Can't you see? I have no face to show you after what happened, and yet you still want me to look at you? Come on, Jieun. What you're asking is just too much." He sneers at me.

"That's nothing. Let's just say we went Dutch. End of story." I reason out.

He laughs, mocking himself. "I, Kang Minhyuk and my lovely girlfriend, Jung Jieun went Dutch on our first date. Epic." He applauses.

I roll my eyes as I control my temper. "Just get over it and quit the childish act."

"How can I? I was trying my best to impress you, so our first date would be perfect, so that it would be followed by hundreds or millions more. But I failed. What now, you'll break up with me because we're fighting? Lady Luck, please spare me!" He snaps like a lunatic.

I hit his head. "That eel went in your head, it made you crazy." I laugh at him.

"That was eel?! And it was that expensive?!" He asks in disbelief.

I nod. He cusses then punches in the air.

"Stop being so paranoid. I won't break up with you for such petty reasons. And you don't need to impress me, I'll go any date, just as long as I'm with you." I assure him with a tight embrace.

"I'm sorry. I was just scared. Scared of losing you." He tucks my hair behind my ear then touches my cheek longingly.

"Don't be. So where did you get all that money? Allowance?"

He shakes his head. "Savings for a new drum set. I can't touch my allowance or else my sister would kill me." He laughs.

My heart sinks. "I feel bad. Just a single meal in exchange for what you love doing the most."

"You're worth every penny. And I'd give up anything for you. Besides, I still have my old drums. As long as it's still playable." He smiles at me.

I hug him tighter as my heart flutters. "Next time, let's just go to Han River or your house. So you wouldn't have to spend so much."

"Affirmative." He kisses my forehead. "Let's go home now. Your brother is calling."

I get his cellphone and turn it off.

He laughs. "Your brother would definitely kill me for that."

"I'll kill him first."

He laughs.

"Ming..." I call softly.

He looks at me.

"Promise me one thing."

"I promise." He answers right away.

"But you haven't heard it yet."

"I still promise."

"Promise me that we'll reach hundred days." I hold out my pinky finger.

"I promise." He links his pinky to mine then hugs me. "We'll even surpass that."

"I love you." I whisper in his ear.

He smiles at me then kisses me. A long one before saying, "I love you, more."
