{Finally finished~ ^.^}

 

     “...okay, I’m not going to lie… It’s like he’s your religion; might as well just call him J-sus…” said your friend.

You flushed pink at what your friend said. You’ve had a small crush on J-Hope since Christmas and you were questioning whether it was real or just a phase or something. A bit confused at everything, you went to your best friend for help.

    “When he looks at me...it’s like he’s wrapped around my heart…” you confess to her, “...but a normal girl like me doesn’t fit into his standards…”

    “So…?” your friend prompted.

    “...I wore a ‘friend’ mask, hiding my true feelings when I’m next to him…” you finished.

    “I’m sorry to say this...but it sounds like you’ve slid into the ‘comfortable’ category…” she said with a slight smile.

You sighed. You were so screwed.

You kicked the blanket once more during the night in frustration. You were tired and you just wanted to sleep, but your mind hated you. Whenever you tried closing your eyes, you saw his varied expressions, heard his voice, and pictured his face.

    ‘Damn….why do you always have to end up enticing me,’ you thought. ‘I can’t control myself because of all your expressions; watching you...my head just spins…”

“I’m so KO’d…” you softly said, burying your face into your pillow.

“When did this all start?” asked your friend Jin.

You thought for a small moment, trying to think of exactly when this trouble started.

“The start was at dance class….”

…

    “Okay class! Stop your routines and pay attention for a second!” called your dance teacher.

You stopped the current routine you were working on and looked at the teacher. You heard a rumour that a new student would be joining your dance class sometime this week, so you thought that the teacher was going to introduce the new student to the class right now. You had heard a lot of things about the new student, so your interest was already piqued.

    “I'd like you all to meet Jung Hoseok, your new classmate,” announced the teacher.

You looked at him and it was like you lost your mind for a moment. Suddenly you were very aware of your heartbeat, beating like a fast song being played on a keyboard. Trying hard to seem cool, you didn't give another glance because you knew would end up making a fool of yourself.

    “Hi everyone! Call me J-Hope. I'm your hope, J-Hope!” he said.

    'My hope....?' you thought.

His words always seemed to hit you like a bowling ball, knocking down the bowling pins of your heart with a strike. They always left you blushing with a weird sense of giddiness. After about a month of knowing him, the two of you were made dance partners.

    “Hey, can I see your phone?” he asked randomly.

    “...why?” you asked back while giving it to him.

He typed something in for a few seconds and then took a picture of himself. After he handed you back your phone.

    “There, now you have my number!” he exclaimed.

You tried not to blush because of his actions, but you failed. Thankfully though, he had turned around because the teacher called him over. You breathed a sigh of relief, but when you looked up, you saw that your teacher was giving you a weird smile.

    ‘Ah shoot….he knows...dang….’

    “So yeah….” you said as you finished confessing everything to Jin as well.

    “Hmm…” he replied.

    “Why are you so tired?” asked your best friend.

You gave her a small smile while scratching the back of your head and looking elsewhere.

    “I was kinda up late in an all-night texting session with him….” you confess.

Your friend just shook head her at you, but laughed as well.

    “Your feelings just keep getting better than better, huh?” she asked with a sigh.

    “Mhm...but I can’t figure out how he feels about me…:” you quietly reply.

She gave you a semi-weird look and you just told her to spit it out.

    “You know…” she started softly, “I hear he has a girlfriend…”

You sigh and look down. You had heard the rumour to, and you would be lying if you said it didn’t hurt a little. Your friend looked at your face and her expression hardened.

    “I guess all boys are the same; they’re all uniform…” she said.

    “Don’t,” you start, “It’s not his fault so don’t get mad at him.”

She looks at you, wondering why you’re defending him.

    “It’s a one-sided love...but it’s still beautiful…”

It was a nice day so you decided to go visit some of the shops downtown. You were on your phone talking to your friends Suga and Rap Monster when all of a sudden you spotted J-Hope sitting down with three of his friends: V, Jimin, and Jungkook. Not wanting to embarrass yourself, you quickly walked away. To your surprise, J-Hope followed you into one of the stores and even tapped you on the shoulder. Not wanting both Suga and Rap Monster to pick on you later, you gave them a quick     excuse and hung up the phone.

    “Yes?” you ask.

       “Well,” he responded, “I saw you walking around all by yourself… That’s not safe you know!     And since I’m your hope, I had to follow you and          make sure nothing bad happens.”

You thought that although the reason was a bit weird, it was still sweet at its core.

    “Thanks,” you reply. “Won’t you get bored though, watching me shop?”

He just laughed and you smiled.

    “Nah,” was his answer.

You both looked around the small shop for a while, and then decided that there was nothing you really wanted to buy. J-Hope was hungry, so you guys went to go get a little snack. You insisted on paying for yours, but he payed for it anyway.

After the small lunch the two of you found yourselves standing in front of a big tree. You had never seen it before, so you were examining the budding blossoms when you felt his arms wrap around you. You stiffened up for a second, not used to this kind of situation, but as soon as you heard his voice, you ended up relaxing.

    “Don’t we look good together…?” he asked softly.

You felt like he had more to say, so you stayed quiet.

    “I always imagine it like this; you being with me…”

You felt yourself redden, but you blushed more at the next thing he said.

    “You’re beautiful…”

He ended the hug right after, and you couldn’t help but feel empty. Luckily though, he just walked in front of you and took your hands into his.

    “What do you think we would be like together…?” he quietly said while looking into your eyes.

By now, you just felt like an emotional mess. You couldn’t even speak at this point. He gave you a small smile and you looked away. You were blushing and you didn’t want him to see it. He gently faced your head towards his and stood silent for a short moment.

    “I’m your hope….but will you be my hope?” he asked.

Not trusting your voice, you just nodded your head. He smiled and pulled you into his embrace. For some reason, it just felt right. The two of you stayed like that for a while, and you couldn’t help but give a small giggle.

    “What’s so funny?” he asked with a smile.

    “Nothing,” you reply.

    ‘It’s just...I’ve always imagined it like this; you being with me…’

The rest of the gang secretly watched the whole exchange. They all knew the two of you liked each other, and they cheered when J-Hope finally confessed.

    “Yah...let’s go home now and give those two some time to themselves…” said Jin smiling.
