He couldn’t help but roll his eyes. He knew that he had caught you off guard with the gift, but really? ‘What is this’?

“It’s a book,” he deadpanned you back, shaking his head at your poor choice in questions.

Frowning, you lightly smacked his arm with your free hand, the other currently occupied cradling the expensive pair of headphones he had just unexpectedly given you. There was nothing special going on today, so of course you’d be surprised!

“You know what I meant!” you replied back in defense, cheeks flushed at being called out… a look that he found absolutely adorable.

No longer being teased, you were able to get a good look at the actual present. Realizing that it was a totally different shade than the five different ones offered on the website, and you knew because you had had your eyes on them for the longest time, you raised your eyebrow questioningly at him as you placed the gift around your neck.

“Of all colours….why this one?” you asked him, reaching for your phone to begin the wireless configurations.

He gave you a nonchalant shrug in response.

“It brings out your eyes.”
