Counterbalance Between A Girl And A Boy
Description
Length: Threeshot
Genre: male/female chauvinism, romance, comedy
Pairing(s): Seohyun/Luhan, Sehun/Soojung, Chanyeol/Sulli
Prompt: Seohyun as the feminist, Luhan as the egoist.
A Girl.
With the face of frailty, sophistication and glamor, Seohyun surely defines femininity. But with the intelligence of a respectable man and the strength of a sea rock that lies within her, she evidently defies the nature of a girl.
A Boy.
With the face of force, boldness and firmness, Luhan surely defines masculinity. But with the recklessness of Peter Pan and the softness of a human-sized Hello Kitty that lies in him, he evidently defies the nature of a boy.
Counterbalancing — two opposing genders mutually acting on each other. The lack of the other is being supported by the other; the weakness of the other is being strengthen by another.
Characters:
Seohyun-Luhan
Minseok-Sehun-Chanyeol
Soojung-Sulli
Kyungsoo
A/N: Now, now...I've been inactive due to school works. But at the same time, I've still got a lot of requests to work on so you guys can say that I still have plenty of reasons not to leave aff. Tee-hee! Anyway, I present this seohan threeshot to my unnie, dumbluxian <3 She doesn't claim any other prize aside this request so we just kind of negotiated a bit. And since this is a long long time ago, I might as well give her the fullest, don't you think so guys? I am personally on the female side (of course) but in reality, both man and woman coexist; probably interdependent with one another. What am I saying again?
Foreword
Prologue
“Who do you think are more superior, boys or girls?”
“I am a boy, so I must think that we're higher.”
The girls stares out at him with an incredulous look on her face and snorts. “Ay, that's very subjective of you. You don't even care to support your own statement.”
The boy shrugs carelessly, letting his dark brown tousled-hair sway with the wind. “I mean, boys are born first.” He just wants his life to be forever like this, young and free. Other children among them are playing, teachers and parents on the look. If they are wounded, or they just want something, they can run to them anytime.
He stretches out his hands on the bench, his finger tips almost touching the girl's right shoulder. He steals a glance on her, her who is in a deep thinking, just checking how adorable she is.
Yes, he can just live forever like this.
“If boys are the first-borns, how did they belong to their mothers who gave birth to them at the first place?” She asks wittily, to oppose his first supporting statement.
The boy pauses, now that he's actually interested with the flow of their conversation. He can care less with arguments but not if the girl beside him is the one who initiated it. He tries to come up with a better reasoning, digging up each fiber of his logic. “I...don't even know anymore.” He then scratches his head, though it isn't really that itchy.
“Maybe no one's superior.”
“Now that's a safe answer.”
“No, I mean, girls may physically depend on boys, boys are after all much more physically capable than girls. You can carry two bags while I can carry only one. But you boys also depend on us. Maybe intellectually or emotionally. For example, when you thought you lost your homeworks, I helped you a bit even though I'm a year lower.” She thoroughly explains, the smile on her face spreading a bit wider. Her feet are gently swinging without touching the ground, such small legs she has.
“Maybe you're right, maybe no.” Luhan answers jokingly. He is definitely astounded with how she sees through things that he can only . Sometimes, she's thinking too hard that it scares him because he's just in the sixth grade while she's just in the fifth grade. Sometimes, he thinks he must be the wrong one, especially when she flares her nostrils at him.
“Oh come on Lu-lu!” She pouts and softly hits him in his arm.
“Let's go Hyun, your mommy's already waiting for you.” Luhan just chuckles, guiding her down the bench and waves toward the pretty woman waiting for the girl in the gates of their school.
He then just initiates a run, the one who gets there first will be given an ice cream. And two of them just ends up with some scrapes on their knees and a long-run speech from the woman they're after to.
