HaNeul sat with her arms wrapped tightly under her legs, resting her chin on her knees.

“You’re gonna catch a cold sitting out here like that.”

She just sat there as MinHyuk wrapped a blanket around her small, shivering body.  He sat down next to her.  HaNeul sat back into his arms and rested her head against his collarbone.

“He hates me…it’s all my fault and he’s going to hate me for the rest of my life…”  Her voice quivered with fear.

It had been two days since HaYoung broke up with YooKwon and no one had heard from him since.  They feared the worst that he wanted to kill himself, but his parents kept them updated with his condition.  MinHyuk was more than surprised (and truthfully a bit relieved) that HaNeul hadn’t run off with YooKwon yet.  But at the same time, he felt that HaNeul was not with him anymore.  Her heart had already left before her body did.  He was inevitably going to lose her.

“HaNeul…he would never hate you.  Why don’t you go see him?” he suggested, pecking her on the forehead.  But she shook her head and curled further into his embrace.

“I don’t want to…you’re gonna let me go me…you think I’m going to go back to YooKwon-oppa so you’re going to leave me,” she whined.  For an emotional distressed person, she sure thinks straight…

“How about if I go with you?  We’re his best friends, right?  We should be there for him,” he reasoned, knowing exactly how to get her to feel responsible enough to go.  HaNeul gave him a ‘did you really just pull the guilt card on me’ look.  When he smiled down at her, she eventually nodded.

He helped her up and just as he went to grab her bag, she caught his wrist and pulled him back.

His eyes widened as his heart stop when she kissed him fully on the lips.  They had exchanged shy pecks every now and then because they were not a very touchy, feely couple.  He couldn’t hide the blush that spread across his cheeks when she pulled him down by the collar to deepen the kiss.  Once she finally let go to breathe, she instantly became timid of her most recent action and covered , looking away.  She looked too adorable, contradicting what she just did with how she acted afterwards.  He answered her with another kiss on the lips.  She relaxed into it and giggled when he let go.

“I love you, okay?” she whispered, pecking him once more on the lips.

“Mmm, sorry, I couldn’t quite feel it.  Could we try again?”

That earned him a smack on the shoulder again.

“What are you doing here?

Get the away from me!

You don’t mean anything to me.

You’re nothing.

So leave me alone.”

“Kwonnie, MinHyuk and HaNeul are here for you,” YooKwon’s mother informed, knocking on his door.  She received a silence in return.  She sighed and told them he’s been like this ever since he got back.  HaNeul and MinHyuk bowed at her respectfully as she went down, leaving them to hopefully help him out of his miseries.  MinHyuk saw that HaNeul was already almost in tears again, so he grabbed her hand and squeezed it supportively.  She turned and smiled at him before taking a brave step forward and opening the door.

“Kwonnie-oppa…we came to see you…” HaNeul gasped after finishing her sentence.  The room was torn apart.  It looked like a hurricane went through his room, but only certain things were destroyed.

“…YooKwon…” was MinHyuk’s only response as he slowly looked around the room in awe.  HaNeul’s eyes were brimmed with tears.

YooKwon looked up with soulless eyes.  But they suddenly brightened at the sight of HaNeul.

“HaNeulie?” he cooed as he stretched out his arms like a baby calling out for its mother.  She looked at MinHyuk, who urged her forward.  Apprehensively, she smiled and gave him a hug.

“Kwonnie-oppa, what are you doing with the lights off?” she questioned arbitrarily as a distraction from the actual problem.

“HaNeulie, can you get HaYoung back for me?”

Her heart hurt, seeing the hopeful look in his eyes.  It was more than she could stand.  She caused this.  She should have never forced the two together like she did even if YooKwon asked for it.

“You did it once…maybe she’ll listen to you…HaNeulie is like a miracle worker!” he cheered ingenuously, caught up in his own fantasy.

“YooKwon, snap out of it…why do you want her back?  She cheated on you.  She cheated on you and left you for some other guy.  She didn’t even try to make things better and just left,” MinHyuk the cruel voice of reason spoke up.

“MinHyuk-oppa!” HaNeul scolded.

“HaNeulie…she won’t even pick up my calls…I just want her to rethink things…I’ll do better for her…” YooKwon mumbled on, walling himself off from the pain, unable to even hear what MinHyuk said.

“Kwonnie-oppa…please stop this…” she spoke softly and continued to comfort him.

“I gave up everything for her…I did everything I could so she wouldn’t regret being with me…but I guess I’m just no good,” he whispered on with a depressing voice.

“You’re plenty good, Oppa!  Don’t sell yourself short because of one girl!  You’re one of the sweetest guys I know!  Your smile makes people feel better in an instant!  You always try your hardest for everything you do!  Don’t throw everything away because some turned you down!” HaNeul finally screamed, incapable of holding it in any longer, tears streaming down her face.

MinHyuk watched with a heavy heart.  She still loved him.

“She’s not a !  She’s my HaYoung!” YooKwon suddenly yelled at HaNeul, standing up and towering over her.  “Don’t call her that again!”

“After everything she did…” HaNeul shook her head, not able to understand why he was so stuck on her.

“YooKwon…don’t ing yell at the only person in the world that would kill to make you happy.”

HaNeul’s eyes widened incredulously.

“MinHyuk-oppa…what are you doing…what do you think you’re do-”

“Yah, Kwon-ah…did you know HaNeul has had a crush on you since the very beginning?”

“LEE MINHYUK!” screeched HaNeul, dropping all formalities in blind fury.  She couldn’t believe the words coming out of his mouth.  Was he insane?

“…HaNeulie…liked me?” YooKwon repeated, doubt evident in his voice.  He looked back down at HaNeul, whose gaze was glued to MinHyuk in fiery rage.

“You don’t need me if you have YooKwon, HaNeul.  Stop trying to force yourself,” MinHyuk reprimanded coldly.  He laughed bitterly.  “I don’t think I have the courage to see you like this…”

“Go to him, HaNeul.  I was just helping the two of you along.  Don’t give me that guilty look.  You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier, HaNeul…” whispered YooKwon, holding HaNeul’s hand.  She looked back at him and laughed sullenly.  Her hand caressed his cheek gently.

“Because you never saw me, Kwonnie-oppa…even now…you still look past me.”  She already knew the truth.  It didn’t hurt her anymore.  At least she didn’t want it to hurt her anymore.

“I would have fallen for you, HaNeul…we could have been together…” YooKwon tightened his grip on her hand.

“YooKwon-oppa…don’t say things you don’t mean…you’re hurting me…” HaNeul stated, trying to remove her hand from his grasp.

“Please be with me, HaNeul.”

She stared at him for a long time.

He waited for her response.

She considered it.

“Only as your best friend.”

YooKwon glared at her, “I want to be more than friends.”

She glared back at him, disapproving his actions.

“I’m with MinHyuk-oppa.  Why would I leave my boyfriend who cares so much for me for someone who only wants me as a replacement for his ex-girlfriend?  Are you crazy?”

“Because you still love me.”

HaNeul’s glare intensified at his words.  He giggled like an insane person.

“It doesn’t matter what you do.  You’ll always love me, right?  So why fight it?  Let’s be together, HaNeul.  Hyung already said yes.  So it’s not like you’re cheating on him.”

“Yah, Kim YooKwon, are you listening to the words coming out of your mouth?!” HaNeul hissed in disbelief.  She yelped when he pulled her closer.

“What’s wrong with being with me?  You said yourself that I’m a great guy, right?  And you love me more than MinHyuk.  Your relationship is hopeless now that I’m single.  So let’s go ou-”

SLAP.

A pregnant silence loomed over as the sound of the slap resonated in YooKwon’s ears.  No one moved, the two boys too shocked by the girl’s action and the girl too shocked by YooKwon’s attitude.

Slowly, as if to check if it really happened, YooKwon pulled his hand up to his cheek.  Sure enough, it stung, inflamed in red and swelling up.

“Insensitive jerk, do I not have any feelings?  Are you so far out of your mind you only care about your own?” HaNeul berated angrily.

YooKwon swallowed.

HaNeul panted, still furious at him.

“Call us when you’ve come to your senses,” HaNeul told him, turning her back and ready to leave.  “Come on, MinHyuk-oppa.”

THUD.

HaNeul whirled around at the sound and gasped in horror when she saw MinHyuk, coughing on the floor.  YooKwon hung over him, his eyes showing no remorse for what he did.

“MINHYUK-OPPA!”

She ran toward him only to be stopped by YooKwon, who smirked at her deviously.

“YOU BASTARD!  WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!” HaNeul thrashed as he tightened his vice grip on her wrists.

“He was in the way.”

She screamed and struggled as YooKwon threw her on his bed.  He climbed on top of her while collecting her hands together with one hand.  Without a second thought, he forced himself on her lips even as she refused to accept him.  HaNeul tried to resist his actions, but her calls for help were muffled by his mouth and her body was immobilized by his more muscular and heavier build.

Her heart shattered when she felt him groping her body.  He couldn’t…this isn’t the YooKwon she knew.  Her struggles became more violent and more determined.  Rivers of tears streamed down the side of her face.  He wasn’t in the right state of mind.  She knew he’d feel completely remorseful if she didn’t stop him.  She shook his mouth off of hers.

“YooKwon, stop it!  Please, stop it!” she begged as she cried in despair.  She shut her eyes, attempting to make all of this go away.

“YOU’RE TRYING TO ME, YOU IDIOT!”

Where am I?

Why is everything black?

What happened with YooKwon?

Please…someone help me…

I’m lost.

~

Slowly, I opened my eyes.  When I looked up, all I could see was a blurred white ceiling.  Strange, I remembered my room to be a light blue…I could hear a loud beep every now and then as I tried to acclimate myself.

My whole body felt numb and my limbs barely moved when I told them to.  It felt like my body has cryogenically frozen for years and now I’m finally being released back into the world.  The last thing I remembered was YooKwon losing his mind and trying to get into my pants.  What happened to me after that?  Did he really me?

I groaned, trying to sit up only to move about a centimeter off the bed before falling back down.  Why is my body so weak?  When my eyes adjusted to the fluorescent lighting, I looked around the room.  It finally hit me.

This wasn’t my room.  This was a hospital.

My heart pounded loudly in my chest, panicking.

Did I really get stuffed in a freezer for a few thousand years?  Is this the future?  Am I going to meet aliens?  Are they going to use me for experimentations?!

Calm down, HaNeul.  One step at a time.  I just need to get my body up and moving, then high tail it out of here before they get back.

I squeezed my hand, getting the feeling back in my hands and froze when I felt another’s hand in my own.  Looking down, I saw the head of someone next to the bed, their hand clutching mine.
They put a guard on me?!

I tried to slip my hand out of the other person’s hand without waking them up, but failed miserably.

THE GUARD WOKE UP.

I didn’t know what to do, so I just stared at him, as he got up slowly.

My eyes widened by ten folds when I saw his face.  His morning groggy face immediately became energized at the sight of me and he laughed.

Oh……

“You…you’re awake!  I’m not dreaming, right?!  HaNeul, you’re really awake!”

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t hear anything he said because my heart was too busy making me deaf with its beating.  And seeing him, I could only do one thing.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

He jumped back in surprise, falling backwards off his chair creating a loud crash.  I flew out of the bed, completely ignoring the fact that I was hooked up to who knows how many machines because the only thing going through my head was to get away from him.

“H-HaNeul…w-what’s wrong?” he stuttered, giving me a shocked, almost innocent look.  Almost, but I wasn’t falling for it.

“YAH, STAY AWAY FROM ME, YOU CRAZY !” I screamed as I defended myself with the pillow from the bed next to mine, flinging it left and right like mad.

“YooKwon!  What’s wrong?!  I heard screaming!”

My eyes shimmered with anticipation as the owner of the new voice emerged like a knight in shining armor through the door.

“MINHYUK-OPPA!” I cried out as I ran toward him away from YooKwon.  I felt him stiffen when I hugged him around the waist.

“M-MinHyuk…o-o-o-o-oppa?!” YooKwon exclaimed noisily in confusion.

“…Oppa?” MinHyuk questioned me as well, looking down with a raised eyebrow, trying to clarify if I was sure I wanted to call him that.

“Yah, Hyung, what did you do to my HaNeulie?!” YooKwon accused, glaring heatedly at MinHyuk.

“Hey, she’s the one that’s got me trapped in a death grip here!  Why don’t you control your girlfriend instead of yelling at me?!” MinHyuk retorted, pointing down at me.  I pulled back with a perplexed expression.  What are they talking about?

“MinHyuk-oppa, are you still afraid I’m going to leave you?  I already told you that I want to be with you!” I proclaimed, holding his hands.  He pulled his hands away from me as if I burned him and laughed a bit.

“Are you crazy?  What was going on in that head of yours while you were in that coma?” MinHyuk responded, looking me up to down, maybe to check if it was actually me.

“…Coma?”

RinDesign - Yeah, his explanation was a bit fast because he just wants to tell her the parts of their meeting that he thinks left the biggest impression on her to trigger her memories.<br />
ShadowYin - Yesh, that was the point. XD She's supposed to be very different from how she was first portrayed. :) I'm glad you enjoy this chapter. ^ ^

Ohh, well it's interesting! It took me a little while to realize who was who in this chapter since the point of view changed but I figured out it was Kwonnie telling her the story in 1st person. It's a bit weird, it all went kinda fast, I mean the explaining of how they met and all that, but I get it, well at least I think so, haha.
