HaNeul sighed as she sat along the sidewalk as a wave of fangirls screamed behind her, blocking the entrance. Perhaps this wasn’t such a good idea, after all.

It’s been a week since HaNeul’s been released from the hospital. Most of her memories were back. At least the ones that could be filled in by Block B. There were still a few things that she couldn’t remember, but in time, she will get them back is what the doctor said. Although HaNeul was itching to catch up the years she had lost being in a coma, the doctor had warned the boys to let her rest for awhile until all her memories come back. Since there’s a cause for losing her memories, it is possible she could be mentally unstable after gaining all her memories back. What kind of bull was that? She’s perfectly fine now. In any case, so Block B put her on probation from recklessly throwing herself back into the real world. They said something about adjustment period and blah blah blah. So with all her free time, she’s been trying to pay back their kindness by cleaning the dorm and cooking them huge meals. Really, there wasn’t much else she could do at the moment anyways.

So here lies the problem.

Block B was currently promoting their newest album on Music Bank. Which is why HaNeul made them some snacks because surely they must be hungry while rehearsing. I mean really, when AREN’T boys hungry? However, she didn’t tell them ahead of time and now she was stuck outside with all the rest of the fans. Yes, she could probably just call one of them to let her in, but then the fans could get suspicious and the last thing she wanted to do would be to cause a scandal.

“Maybe I should just go home…” HaNeul mumbled, staring at all the food she made for them. Not wanting to risk their reputation, she started heading for the dorm. About 5 minutes into walking to a bus station, her phone began to ring.

“Oh, hey Kid~ how are rehearsals? You aren’t causing problems again, are you?” HaNeul laughed as she heard YooKwon whining on the other side. “I know, I know~ you wouldn’t possibly cause any problems. Ah? Visit? Well…I was going to…but-”

Out of nowhere, a hand from a black van that was stopped at a red light next to the sidewalk covered and pulled her. The door closed in front of her as the light turned green. With defensive instincts, she immediately freed her hands from the kidnapper’s hold and elbowed him in the chest. She turned around to get a good look at the guy she was going to pummel senselessly for even thinking about trying to kidnap her. While the guy groaned and held his stomach in pain, HaNeul paused for a moment and blinked in confusion. She knew this person…what was his name again…

“Ah! Kim DongJun!”

~

“Yah, Kim YooKwon, stop pacing, you’re making me nervous,” groaned JaeHyo.

“But Hyung! SHE HUNG UP ON ME! AND IN MID-SENTENCE! W-What if she got hit by a car?! Or, or…she got drugged by a ! Or, or-”

His crazy speculations were put to an end by MinHyuk’s hand pushing his head, possibly an attempt to knock his worry out.

“It’s HaNeul. She can handle herself. You’re worrying too much.”

“Hyung~! She could be in danger! What if she’s kidnapped?!” he cried out, ignoring B-Bomb’s voice of reason, even shaking his poor hyung violently. MinHyuk sighed and just allowed himself to be thrown around.

“…oh, I thought I just heard Noona’s voice…” JiHoon said in the middle of YooKwon’s fit.

As if on cue, HaNeul entered the room. YooKwon smiled widely in relief and charged at her.

“HaNeu-!” he stopped immediately when he realized she wasn’t alone. His heart stopped for a moment when the person smiled at him.

“Oh, so Kwonnie’s your boyfriend? Aish, why didn’t you just tell me?” the boy whined cutely. HaNeul stuck her tongue out at him.

“That wouldn’t have been any fun~” she laughed as he glared at her playfully. “Anyways, thanks for helping me sneak in. We should catch up some time, okay?”

“Neh~ good luck on your performance today, Kwonnie! Block B hwaiting!” DongJun cheered before leaving to go rehearsal with ZE:A. He waved bye to the rest of them, but waved more enthusiastically at HaNeul, who waved back with a smile. YooKwon stood frozen in place as HaNeul turned around.

“…what?” she inquired innocently, giving YooKwon a strange look for staring at her so distantly.

“You…hyung…but…heh?” he questioned incomprehensively. She rolled her eyes and shoved the bag she was holding in her hand at him. “…oh, what’s this?”

“Your sn-a-ck,” she responded, exaggerating her enunciation to emphasize her reason for being there in the first place. “Seriously, you get jealous so easily. How unfaithful do you think I am?”

YooKwon blushed at her statement and took the food gratefully.

“I was about to go back because I didn’t want to create a scandal for you. DongJun-goon just happened to pass by on his way from another schedule, so he helped me sneak in without getting noticed by any of the fans,” HaNeul explained as YooKwon opened the food she prepared for him.

She yelped in surprise when he picked her up and spun her around. When she started hitting him, demanding to be put down, he did as he was told, but only after he kissed her sweetly on the cheek. Even such a small gesture caused HaNeul to flush red in embarrassment. The other members started to jeer at their PDA. Uncharacteristic of her usual indifferent appearance, HaNeul hid her face into YooKwon’s chest, in hopes of hiding her flushed face. With a sudden sense of overprotection, he yelled at the other members and even started throwing things at them as his attempts to make them stop.

~

“So you went to school in Busan and met DongJun right before moving to Gyeonggi and meeting YooKwon?” Kyung summed up. “…geez, girl, you get around. Are there any other pre-debut idols you know?”

HaNeul just shrugged, “Even if I have met them before, I wouldn’t. It’s not like I pay attention to idols. I didn’t even know DongJun was an idol. Now would you guys stop asking questions and get to rehearsals, already?”

“Yes, Mother,” grumbled JiHoon as he avoided HaNeul’s attack and ran off with the rest of Block B. YooKwon looked back at HaNeul for a bit. She stared back in confusion. It was almost like a dog wanting to go play with his other dog friends but doesn’t want to leave his owner.

HaNeul smiled at him, “I’ll be watching from the crowd, don’t worry.”

He nodded, tossing a smile back at her, before taking off to prepare for their dry rehearsal.

Her smile lingered as she watched him from the distance, preparing for the upcoming stage.

“Oh, that’s a rare look for you~”

HaNeul jumped and would have smacked the one that intruded her thoughts if he wasn’t as quick as he is.

“Yah! You scared me, bastard,” HaNeul scolded, causing DongJun to cackle at her surprised reaction. She pushed him with a scoff of annoyance.

“DongJun-ah! What are you doing over there? We need to get ready we’re up soon!”

“Neh, Kevin-hyung!” DongJun called back as he ran towards him.

“Oh, who is this?” Kevin asked before bowing to HaNeul, who politely bowed back.

“Ah, this is Lee HaNeul. She’s a childhood friend that I haven’t seen in a very long time,” the magnae introduced before whispering right next to Kevin’s ear, “…and U-Kwon from Block B’s girlfriend, but that’s a secret, so shhhh.”

DongJun put a finger up to his lips and winked at HaNeul, who rolled her eyes at his playful antics. Kevin smiled knowingly and nodded, playing along with the magnae’s joke.

“Ah, Block B is up soon, so I guess you should be going to the crowd soon, huh? I just came to gather this kid up. You should get going or you’ll miss it,” Kevin informed while putting DongJun in a lighthearted headlock, causing the magnae to whine. “Oh, when you have time, you should come meet the rest of our members, okay? A friend of DongJun is a friend of ZE:A!”

“Neh, I’ll be sure to put you guys in my ‘celebrities to see’ schedule,” HaNeul joked. She laughed as she watched Kevin drag DongJun off, scolding him a bit for running off without telling anyone where he was going minutes before their dry rehearsal.

“How weird…even though I know I met him before, I still can’t remember anything from how we met…strange…” HaNeul mumbled to herself as she grabbed a headset and clipboard as if she was part of the staff in case fans got suspicious of her sudden appearance from backstage into the audience.

~

“Not a bad rehearsal, but I think you were a bit slow on the intro, JaeHyo-hyung,” Zico criticized professionally. “You almost ran into U-Kwon. It’s a good thing you dodged in time. I’m sure the director’s didn’t even notice.”

JaeHyo nodded and kept his leader’s advice in his head while Zico went over other things they could work on before the live broadcast.

A towel was shoved in front of YooKwon’s face.

“Well done, though you messed up a bit in the chorus, didn’t you?”

YooKwon laughed, taking the towel and dabbing his sweaty face, “It would be weird if you didn’t criticize me~”

He continued walking behind the rest of the members with HaNeul trailing behind him.

“Neh…YooKwon-oppa,” HaNeul started out, only to jump in shock when YooKwon stopped moving and stare at HaNeul incredulously. “W-What?”

“…you…you’ve never called me YooKwon-oppa before…at least not before your accident…” At that thought, YooKwon smirked, feeling a sense of accomplishment. He chuckled as he approached her, cornering her against the wall behind her. “Was I that impressive?”

Though she couldn’t cover her blushing cheeks, she took advantage of their position and whispered so YooKwon was the only one that could hear, “I want to talk to DongJun after their rehearsal.”

YooKwon looked hurt at her request, the reaction HaNeul figured she was going to get. She sighed with a tilt of her head.

“It’s not like that, YooKwon…” She continued only after he looked less reproachful. “There’s something…missing from my memories and I feel that it might be right around the time between when I met DongJun and when I met you.”

YooKwon pouted at her unfortunately practical reason, “Can’t you just ask TaeIl-hyung?”

HaNeul winced as if she physically felt hurt at the thought. “He always looks like he’s about to cry whenever I ask him anything about my past…and everyone just gives me the silent treatment whenever I ask what happened that caused me to lose my memories…”

At just the mention of it, YooKwon stiffed and looked away, guilty as charged.

HaNeul huffed in annoyance, “Yeah, exactly, just like that. But I’m at a road block, YooKwon. The only chunk of memories I have right now are the ones you guys are willing to fill me in on. No matter how hard I try, I can’t remember anything else. It’s only safe to assume that the period of time that TaeIl remembers and the period of time you all remember is probably too traumatic for me right now.”

She stopped for a second when someone passed by behind YooKwon before continuing her train of thought.

“I’ll have to remember everything sooner or later…or I’ll start making up again. There has to have been a turning point and hopefully not as traumatic as the rest of my ed up life. I must have started acting differently after leaving Busan. DongJun was definitely a lot more daring meeting me again in comparison to you. I was probably much friendlier before moving. And even if he doesn’t know why, he might be able to help me remember.”

HaNeul looked up at YooKwon expecting to find his reluctant puppy face only to have him crush his lips unexpectedly on hers. She froze in shock, clearly not anticipating his bold reaction. Once her brain finally grasped the situation at hand, she kissed him back in a gentle, almost uncertain manner, contradicting her usual contemplative, confident personality. Sensing her reaction, he ceased his aggressive behavior and kissed her back in a much softer yet passionate manner.

They were forced to stop when both of them were out of air. YooKwon pulled back slowly and basked in the loving moment the two of them just shared. He smiled warmly as he memorized the moment as HaNeul slowly opening her eyes back up and stare straight into his own. For once, her eyes did not display her normally aloof yet aggressive demeanor. They were bearing into YooKwon’s soul with need for his affection and possibly fear of losing him.

Staring back into his confident, devoted eyes, a single tear fell out of her left eye for reasons even HaNeul did not know. It seems she didn’t even notice her tear for her surprised flinch as YooKwon wiped it with his thumb. Finally broken out of her trance, she became bashful again and refused to look up at YooKwon, seemingly forgetting the purpose of this whole confrontation.

It took all of his self-control not to attack her again. She looked so small and vulnerable that it made YooKwon want to continue teasing her. However, they weren’t exactly in a private place and he did still have preparations before the show.

“It’s because you’re so cute that I get jealous. But that doesn’t mean I don’t trust you,” YooKwon finally spoke after their heated ‘confrontation.’ “Aish, why can’t you be less popular with the guys, huh? Then I wouldn’t have this problem.”

HaNeul pouted at him but said nothing.

He chuckled and kissed her gingerly on the lips one last time.

“Do whatever you need to. I’m not going anywhere. You’ve got me tied on a leash ages ago, even the thought of leaving you is not comprehensible anymore,” he laughed before giving her an exaggerated puppy pout. “Just don’t keep me tied up at home for too long or I’ll get lonely.”

She laughed openly at his playful antics and surprised him with her own light kiss on the lips.

“You’re such a handful.”

Just as she was about to leave, YooKwon pulled her back.

“Oh, on…one…condition.”

He smirked when she tilted her head in confusion.

“You have to call me, YooKwon-oppa from now on~”

ShadowYin - Yesh, that was the point. XD She's supposed to be very different from how she was first portrayed. :) I'm glad you enjoy this chapter. ^ ^

Ohh, well it's interesting! It took me a little while to realize who was who in this chapter since the point of view changed but I figured out it was Kwonnie telling her the story in 1st person. It's a bit weird, it all went kinda fast, I mean the explaining of how they met and all that, but I get it, well at least I think so, haha.
