5 Days to Valentine’s Day.

Sungmin pouted at the thought, knowing well he was going to be alone again this year. But at least he would have the dorm room all to himself because he was sure his roommate Hyukjae and his boyfriend would go out. He would be free to marathon all the movies he liked—-alone, of course, but that would be better than going outside and just seeing all the couples being lovey-dovey while he’s all alone.

“Why don’t you just get a date then?” Hyukjae asked when Sungmin confirmed that the two would indeed go out and not permanently scar him with the sounds of them having like the last year. “You might enjoy it too”

The blond shook his head at the thought, hugging his pillow to his chest. He sighed sadly “No thanks, you know how bad I am with social interactions. Besides, who’d want to go out with me?” he buried his face into the soft material. Sungmin lacked in the self-confidence department, and the fact that he was painfully shy didn’t at all help with his relationship with other people.

“You’d be surprised. You’re actually cute Sungmin” his roommate flashed him his signature gummy smile and that cheered him up a little. Hyukjae had been his best friend for god knows how long that the man already knew what to say and when to say it.

“Thanks Hyukkie” he grinned appreciatively, but not really thinking about his friend’s advice.

“That’s no to looking for a date then?” Hyukjae probed good-naturedly, smiling. “I could hook you up with someone you know”

Sungmin chuckled but shook his head again “Nope. I’m fine really…but thanks for the thought. Aren’t you going to be late for your date with Hae?” it was his turn to grin at the man who stared at his wristwatch and cursed softly.

“Oh crap you’re right. Hae’s going to have my head. Damn, see you later Min! Think about what I said okay?”

He waved him off “Fine, fine I will. Go have fun! Make sure you don’t reek of again when you come home, it’s weird!” he shouted after him. Hyukjae simply grinned and saying there are no promises.

Sungmin made his way to his own bed and flopped on his mattress, thinking about what Hyukjae said. Him? Out on a date? He shivered slightly. He didn’t want to go out unless it was with a person he likes. But ha
