[fin] Retrospect The Memories

“Every wish has its consequence, Baekhyun.. You can’t avoid that..”
Baekhyun’s voice is weak, his tears almost dried as he looks up to him.
“So you mean in the end… I won’t remember anything?”
He lowers his gaze, feeling sorry for the other.
“Yes…”
“I will forget everything… like it’s a dream..,” he whispers.
The more he looks at the smaller male, the more he feels pitiful over him. The once bright and upright Baekhyun now looks very exhausted, his hair disheveled, school uniform crumpled and black circles forming under his eyes.
He meets Baekhyun’s tired but hopeful gaze.
“Like it’s a dream,” he reaches out to hold onto the smaller’s cold and trembling hands. “Do you still want to do it?”
Baekhyun’s eyes are glistening with tears again and this time around, he doesn’t stop them as they began to trickle down his cheeks. He smiles softly.
“If this is what it would take to see him again.”
When he wakes up again, he will forget everything. He will feel the excruciating pain all over again, stabbing his heart with every memory he thought he never gave the other.
Maybe even worse.
But if feeling the pain all over again will let him see Chanyeol again, feel his presence next to him again, and maybe tell him those three words he never dared to say, then he will take the chances.
He will go back.
Tao pulls him in a warm hug as he began to feel a cold breeze seeping through his skin. Clutching the red notebook in his chest, he began to feel very light.
“Good luck,” he whispers into the smaller’s ear before letting go.
Park Chanyeol, I’m coming.
