I turn the pill between my thumb and index finger and watch as the minuscule light winking from my desk lamp briefly shows the twisted yet structured frame beneath its pellucid shell. It looks grotesque as much as it looks crudely enchanting. It resembles the branches of black veins that run beneath white, tautly stretched skin. Pale, beautiful, otherworldly, and captivating.

I am amazed that I was able to create such an enigma. This is the product of the hard work I had toiled for three years. With this invention, the accusations and suspicions cast against the company can cease. I have begun a phenomenon, and it was all because of an unplanned help of a worrisome Exon.

With this, I can ensure that the Institute never sees destruction.

Before you read this though, you need to read its prequel, Silver Heart (Luhan/OC) in order to familiarize yourself in the universe of this story. (Even though I know you have heard of it before haha)

Now for my thoughts...

GOOD GRIEF. I've been waiting for this for who-knows-how-long ever since I finished reading its prequel, which was BEAUTIFUL BEYOND WORDS (not to mention that cliffhanger at the end T_T) because I've been DYING to know what happened to Luhan, and well, Lay's character is pretty different from the usual stuff since he's more of a conceited and overconfident guy in this story rather than the usual one. It's honestly a breath of fresh air to read a different Lay compared to how he's mostly portrayed. 

Did I say I needed to know what happened to Luhan? YES I DID.
