September 4th - 2008

"Hey Nichkhun! I watched your performance on MNet, I give it 10 points out of 10!" she began to sing, laughing afterwards, on the other end of the line.

"You did? How did I do?" 

"Ehh.. Okay I guess but you know, Taec did better" she teased.

"That's harsh, I'm heartbroken Hwang MiYoung"

"Yah! Don't call me that unless you want to die"

"Arrasso... No need to threaten me, I know you're incharge"

"Anyway Khunnie, welcome to the world of Kpop, you're officially an idol, how does it feel?"

"Strange really.. to think I'm a singer.. I always imagined myself becoming a chef, of course I'd though of perhaps being a business man but never this"

"Well, sometimes things don't always go as planned" 

"Yeah, that's true"

December 31st - 2008

Nichkhun left the waiting room and headed down the hall with s to go and greet SNSD. 2pm knocked on the door politely until they heard a loud voice they recognised as Tiffany's. They walked in and bowed, greeting their Sunbae's in the industry.Taecyeon, Jessica, Nichkhun and Tiffany, naturally crowded together, talking in English. The 4 americans were the closest as far as SNSD and 2pm went. When Tiffany saw them, she couldn't help but laugh.

"What's up with you're outfits? You look like tribal chiefs! Nichkhun you're a Thai prince not a Tribal Chief.." Tiffany laughed at them.

"Mmm.. Denim on denim isn't really.. ideal" Jessica nodded in agreement.

"I think it looks good.. I liked the stylist's choice" Taec said pulling at his denim jacket. 

"Yeah well you would Mr Fashion Terrorist.." Nichkhun muttered before smiling. 

All heads turned to the door as SNSD's manager's head popped through the door.

"Are you girls ready? You're on soon, I'll come back to get you in 5 minutes, make sure you've everything you need."

"Ne" they all replied in unison and watched as the manager smiled and shut the door again.

"We'll be going then" Jay said leading his group to the door.

"Doo doo doo doo doo doo Kissing you baby! Hwaiting" Nichkhun and Taecyeon mocked making kissy faces as they left, blowing kisses.

Fanning himself, Nichkhun was walking along the corridor to the bathroom when he came across SNSD who had just gotten off the stage. Tiffany stopped to speak to him as the rest of her members returend to their waiting room.

"What was this?" He laughed as he mimicked the kiss gestures using his fan as the lollipop. Tiffany had made at the start of the performance.

"Hey! I was told to do it okay.." she said as she hit him out of annoyance.

"Okay.. But the performance was good, I saw the fan before your performance when I was monitoring you guys from the waiting room on the TV screen.. you're getting so famous, Brighter than jewels Tiffany, I might have to become your bodyguard" he chuckled.

"Someone as cute as you? Protecting me? No.." she said as she mimicked his dance and sang "La La La La La La La Pretty Baby"

"You couldn't hurt a fly" she laughed.

"Hey.. I'm still a man okay! Namja! Namja!"

"Alright Khunnie whatever you say"

"Anyways, I'll see you soon or I'll text you, I really need to go pee"

"Okay, bye!"

"Bye!" he said before darting down the corridor, leaving Tiffany shaking her head as she watched him go.

"Boys will be boys" she huffed as she continued walking to SNSD's waiting room.

January - 2009

Nichkhun put his phone away and headed towards the other members. They stood in chatter admist the muttering of staff who were hurrying about with cables and scripts, all preparing for filming. It was that time of week again. Time to film their reality television show, Idol Army. They all snickered at the secluded birthday boy whom had no idea what surprise all of the people on the set had planned. Finally, filming began and SNSD had arrived at the site and had begun to prepare themselves.

"Alright! We'll start shooting in 1 minute"

Upon the PD's announcement, everybody began to get into position.

"The tape is now rolling"

Nichkhun hid behind the curtain on a spur of the moment idea. Nichkhun slid out from behind the curtain calling "She's Here!". 

"That was good, Nichkhun jjang" The PD said, resulting in the rest of the members following suite.

Not long after the filming began, Nichkhun was handed the card which held on it the name of their guests for the show. As he opened the envelope, the rest of the 2pm members gathered around him, playing it off as if they didn't know who the guests would be. He knew exactly what was written inside but when he pulled out the card, he was met with unfamiliar writing rather than the '소녀시대' he was expecting. He stared long and hard at the 4 characters written on the card. They were familiar but he simply couldn't grasp what it said. 

Jaebum, knowing who the guests were, let out an exclamation when Nichkhun pulled the card out as did the rest of 2PM particularly Chansung who was jumping with excitement despite knowing the information on the card beforehand. Jaebum who had stared at the card with Nichkhun had also not grasped why the characters were so familiar yet not what they had expected, that was until Junho helped the poor foreigners out, telling them they had held the card upside down. 

When they announced "So Nyuh Shi Dae", Nichkhun's best friend was the first to walk out with Taec and Khun's other best friend trailing behind Seohyun.

Nichkhun watched with awe, waving his placard with the other members, as SNSD began to dance to their most recently released song, Gee. Among the 6 girls present, his focus was only on his best friend, whom he cared for so much. Too involved in the conversation, Nichkhun purposely stood at the end of the line, knowing Taec would pick him first. 

"Junsu get back and Nichkhun try it"

"I start?"

"Yeah you start Khun"

Following the plan, he stepped back and moved across, forcing Junsu (MinJun/Jun.K) to participate first.

"Okay Junsu ask a question"

"A question? Huh? What?"

Nichkhun watched as admist the confusion, Tiffany took the MC notes from Taecyeon and began to introduce the show herself. 

Seeing as she was his close friend, he felt it neccessary to step in.

"What is wrong with guests these days?" he said, immediately grabbing her attention.

"What?" she said. 

She may have simply glanced at him but Nichkhun could feel the masked glare she was giving him and he knew he'd be in trouble when it was time for a break. He looked over at Junho as a reason to avoid her cold gaze. 

"No because you guys didn't seem to be running the show so we took over"

"No but it's 2PM ' She's here' " he said, eyes on the MC cards.

"Well it's a 'He's here' special" she shot back before smiling and avoiding his gaze.

Nichkhun looked away and stepped back in a surrendering gesture as Tiffany continued to make her point. 

Junsu, having thought of a question during the 'drama', asked if the girls could teach their dance to them.

Of course it was Hyoyeon who stepped up to show him.

All of the 2pm members were quick to criticise Junsu, following their plan and Nichkhun was sent out.

As Nichkhun walked out, Tiffany smiled knowingly when they said Junsu's was a failure.

Hyoyeon told him to open and close his feet really distinctively and he followed her instructions precisely.

Tiffany covered her laughter with her cue cards as she chuckled at his cuteness. 

When Wooyoung approached Tiffany and took the cue cards, Nichkhun was quick to pull him away.

Nichkhun watched Wooyoung and Tiffany silently throughout the show.

When they finally finished their act and surprised the birthday boy, Junsu, with a birthday cake, the cake had unfortunaely ended up on the floor. Despite this, the members still picked up the cake anyway. Nichkhun picked up a piece and offered it to Jessica, his other friend, reluctant to offer a piece to Tiffany.

Watching Tiffany and Wooyoung winking at one another had been the last straw in making his final decision to choose Yoona when the coupling began.

He had been unsure which to choose. Yoona was close to his ideal type, being the pretty and kind hearted girl she is however, his eyes only saw Tiffany. Being her best friend, he could pass off choosing her as an excuse like "I don't know everybody else as well" or something but seeing her with Wooyoung seemed to make him feel a tinge of jealousy. Yoona was also stood right next to Tiffany, which he hoped could make Tiffany perhaps feel jealous after he didn't choose her. He hoped she'd feel jealous because her jealousy would mean that she cared. He held onto the hope that she cared the way he did. 

Tiffany watched was staring at the staff wondering whom Nichkhun would give his flower too. She felt that there was a chance he could've chosen her seeing as they were best friends and she couldn't help but feel disappointed when he gave his flower to Yoona.

Later That Day

"Somebody seems to have a crush they didn't think to tell me about.." Tiffany muttered as she waked through the carpark with Nichkhun by her side.

"Huh who?" Nichkhun asked, startled by Tiffany's cold tone.

"You like Yoona?"

"Well.. she's pretty. And she's nicer than you are" He said before sticking his tongue out at her.

"Yah! Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul!" she glared at him angrily, shoving him.

"Are you angry with me?" Nichkhun asked her.

"Of course I am, you chose a pretty girl over your best friend"

"Well I'm angry with you too.. Wooyoung already chose you anyway.. You didn't tell me you liked Wooyoung so why should I tell you if I like Yoona?"

"What? Why do you think that I like-"

"You glared at me when I tried to take the MC cards but let Wooyoung take it."

"Nichkhun .. Are you jealous?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him.

"What? No! Why would I be jealous about you?" he muttered before storming off, leaving Tiffany behind.

Tiffany stood watching him go, unable to hold back a smile at the thought of his jealousy.
