“Kyu… Is that you?”

Kyuhyun emerged from the shadows startling Ryeowook. Ryeowook sat up in his bed and Kyuhyun sat next to him, his face showing so many different emotions. Ryeowook couldn’t pinpoint exactly why but Kyuhyun looked different to him all of a sudden. Ryeowook was always used to the cocky Kyuhyun, the handsome and confident evil magnae, the signature smirk, the playfulness lingering in his eyes. But today, Kyuhyun just looked empty. Plain.

“How are you feeling, Wook?” That voice… Why was Kyuhyun so serious?

“I’m fine.” I answered and then looked him over once more. “Are you okay?”

Kyuhyun nodded but then shook his head. “I’m not actually.”

I leaned forward, placing a hand on his thighs worriedly. “What’s wrong, Kyu? Did something happened?”

“You got possessed last night.” Kyuhyun began. “But I… I wasn’t here to help you.”

“I… I was?” Ryeowook tilted his head. “Why couldn’t you help me, Kyu?”

“I… I… Ran away.”

“What?”

Kyuhyun intertwined his hands with mine. “I ran away when I found out that I was the one who could save you. I ran away because Heechul hyung scared me away. I… ran away because I was a coward.”

“I’m sorry, Wookie.”

“Sorry? What for? Kyu, what’s going on?”

Kyuhyun stared into Ryeowook’s eyes. “I’m sorry that you had to hang onto me for so long. You broke my walls and … I knew that it was a risk but I just keep letting you break them down.”

“Without realizing it, I fell for you, Ryeowook. I found myself always thinking of you more than anyone else. I was scared of how I felt towards you, you know. I felt that… I felt that in the end, I was just going to end up someone who needed you more than you needed me and just that thought scared me to no end. I didn’t want to count on anyone else for my happiness. I didn’t want to get my heart broken. I just want to stay safe.”

Ryeowook’s fingers traced Kyuhyun’s cheeks. “What about now, Kyu? Do you still want to be safe?”

Kyuhyun’s lips brushed against Ryeowook’s the slightest bit. “I… I don’t know what I want anymore, Wookie.”

Kyuhyun gently pushed Ryeowook back onto his bed and straddled him, taking his time to kiss Ryeowook’s neck, biting and on his soft delicious skin. Kyuhyun at his collarbones before Ryeowook pulled him up so that he could look into his eyes. Kyuhyun lightly brushed away Ryeowook’s fringe from his eyes.

“But I know that I want you, Ryeowook.”

Heechul quickly grabbed Siwon and Shindong and pointed at the laptop. His heart was racing and was it possible for his face to grow any paler? Siwon gasped out loud and Shindong quickly called the other members into the room. Once all the members except Kyuhyun and Ryeowook were gathered together, Shindong quickly read out the article Heechul found after hours of researching.

“Yah! Guys! Read this.” Shindong begun. “Kwon Ri Sandra was found missing on January 2nd .  Search parties were conducted but she was nowhere to be found. Her parents were devastated by the news and committed suicide shortly after that.”<
