This story will probably be a two-shot or three-shot, depending on how long-winded I'm gonna be... :O

And I don't even own this plot. It's based off a Japanese show. All I did was just insert Eunhae in here.

It's mostly Hyuk-centric although it's Hae in the poster... *shrugs*

I don't know how long it'll take for me to update. I've been really highly demotivated lately. TT^TT

Brat.

“Aish!!”

Hyukjae exhaled, shoving his hands into his pockets as he stared longingly at the pastries on display at the bakery window. His stomach growled angrily just by looking at the delectable puffs and buns he’d dearly love to have a bite of. Unfortunately, he had just spent his last thousand won on instant noodles for yesterday’s dinner and he was totally broke. He bit his lip as he exhaled slowly through his nostrils, trying his very best to ignore the pangs of hunger shooting across his stomach.

Hyukjae was once a hard-working nine-to-five office worker in a respectable company for the last five years. However as the economy crisis hit wave after wave with no mercy, stocks plummeted at a rapid speed and it wasn’t long before he was holding his belongings in a box outside his former company, along with a couple other unfortunate ex-colleagues.

He wasn’t too devastated then, thinking that being a healthy and able man at the age of twenty-six, it shouldn’t have been a huge problem finding himself another job. But as the weeks turned into months, Hyukjae still found himself desperately unemployed and short of cash. It wasn’t that he didn’t save any money; it was just that he spent most of his earnings on his mother’s monthly hospital bills which weren’t cheap. Besides, he was already one month behind his apartment rent, and it was only a matter of time before his landlord would probably turn him out. And then he would be jobless and homeless as well, simply because nobody was willing to hire him during the global economy crisis, and Hyukjae could only blame it on bad luck.

Hyukjae had refused to resort to stealing to support himself, thinking that he wouldn’t sink that low but honestly, right now it didn’t seem like a bad idea at all.

Closing his eyes for a moment, the man summoned his utmost willpower to walk away from the sinfully delicious-smelling bakery before he lost it and probably stomped inside, devouring everything like a hungry dinosaur. Or monkey. He quickened his pace walking past the shop and found himself entering an expensive watch shop. Hyukjae decided to check out the newest arrivals and ogle over the latest designs, promising himself to buy one as soon as he could afford one. His eyes caught onto a simple, silver wrist watch with tiny diamonds carefully worked into its flawless face. The strap itself was a classic silver colour with a metallic dark red band running through the loop. It had tiny red rubies for numbers on the watch face, and the watch even had an all-new LED light display feature, which was boasted in the notice next to the proud display. Hyukjae was absolutely fascinated with the watch and continued staring at the beauty, caressing the glass case without even realizing it. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the price being nearly over a million won. There was no way on earth that he would have this kind of money to spend on things like this. But perhaps if he prayed hard enough, the heavens would hear him and miraculously drop this precious beauty into his hands without him paying a single won. It was rather farfetched, but he couldn’t help daydreaming about it anyway.

Even though Hyukjae sensed the sales assistant’s eyes warily on him, he figured it wouldn’t hurt if he continued staring at the watch just for a little while longer. It wasn’t like he was going to steal it, right? No, Hyukjae was an honest man, and he planned on keeping that reputation.

He was so absorbed into staring at the masterpiece that he never even heard the glass doors slam open, sending the windchimes behind the doors into a frenzied clanging.

“I want to buy everything in this store!!!”

Hyukjae frowned and turned around, puzzled. Who would actually have enough dough to buy up everything in this store? He had to be one crazy person. He expected some old, rich millionaire with lots of belly fat to be standing at the door; instead he did a double take when he saw a young man, perhaps no older than him, standing just in front of the doors with an angry pout on his face. Hyukjae studied the young man’s features for a while, noticing immediately that he was actually quite very good-looking, with big doe eyes, petite nose, thin pink lips and his soft fringe subtly swept to the side of his head. Even with the obvious pout on his face, the man seemed surreal – too beautiful and too perfect to actually be human. Long eyelashes fluttered as he looked around the store, strutting arrogantly towards the counter where a sales assistant stood, raising his eyebrow in slight disbelief.

“I said, I want to buy up everything in this store!!!”

The shop assistant gave a short mock laugh. “Are you sure, sir? I don’t think you can afford everything in this store. It would cost you more than a billion won!!”

Without even batting an eyelid, the young man whipped out a plastic titanium credit card and handed it over to the shocked sales assistant, who held onto the card with suddenly shaky hands after seeing the signature behind the card.

“Y-You’re… THE L-Lee – Donghae-sshi?” he stammered, stealing a glance at the man who was still having that slightly worked up look on his face. “I-I’m so sorry, I didn’t r-recognize you. I’ll get everything wrapped up for you immediately!!”
