Just For The Night

"It's fine, really," Joonmyeon tried to placate the other members. "It's no problem if the door's locked." And it really wasn't; he had other people he could crash at.

"But those stalker fans are insane," Chanyeol pointed out, the others nodding in agreement. They were all seated in their dorm's living room on a rare day off. The six Korean members were playing a rather boisterous card game and were currently on a break. "Why not stay where you are and we get you?"

"Because it would mean the driver's going out of his way and you'd all be screwed out of rest-time."

"The driver gets paid," Kyungsoo deadpanned. "And you're always screwed out of rest time."

"Sometimes I'm not sure if you're stupidly nice, or just nice and stupid," Jongin commented..

"Be nice, Jongin," Sehun said, poking the other in the back of his head. "But he does kind of have a point. We are one, Joonmyeon."

"It's fine," the easy-going leader protested. "I made it just fine last time, didn't I?"

"It's not safe to walk the streets," Chanyeol sighed explosively. "Especially that late at night where anyone can get you."

"I'm a grown man, mother," Joonmyeon teased. "And I just go by Jinki those when the dorm's locked. It's close and they're usually done by that time if they're not off traveling."

The argument sort of tapered off there, the band members confident enough in Jinki to keep their leader just as safe as his own friends. 

There was silence for a few moments, as each was left to his own thoughts.

"Just don't go getting laid and keeping it a secret," came a warning mumble.

Dozens of cards and an empty water bottle flew at the speaker from around the coffee table. "Chanyeol!" 

 

 

 

A/N: Yes, I'm being lazy and this is pretty much some of the worst writing I've done, but I want to skip to the main plot so badly! Well, if anything you'll be satisfied and since attention spans are kind of lacking this time of year, I'll keep it short for the time being. These things seem to be less than 200 words apiece too.

Gotto love concerned band members, aye?

Chapter 3: bahaha Entertaining as always. They have a rather adorable relationship that could easily cross into something more. I love the easy camaraderie they share and their back and forth banter is quite enjoyable. They appear very comfortable with each other with just that little bit of hope and/or disappointment when one or the other doesn't particularly communicate. The ninja comments were cute, especially since Jinki is notoriously clumsy. heh

But I loved the attention you threw to the rest of the members as well. Especially that mention of Jonghyun. Poor baby. I can honestly imagine him having next to no voice at the end of a day and the way you described it was probably rather true, all things considered. Toothy grin and all that. ;) I'm sure the nuances will pay off in the end but in the meantime, they're a fun little tidbit to get into. I love getting to know the characters beforehand! XD

Chapter 2: Great job in pointing out the valid concerns of the members; not just worry (as genuine as that is). Crazy fans are no joke. :/ And it's okay, Suho! You can admit it to be left out every now and then, however intentional or otherwise. >.>

Concerned members are fun to read though. Especially Chanyeol's comment at the end. bahaha Oh dear... :) And maybe easy reads are the way to go. They're still a fun ride either way and I'm curious to see how things continue to develop!

Chapter 1: Bahaha That was entertaining. Watching Shinee's maknae be a bit of a isn't something I've been privy to much and it was interesting. Poor Suho. Shame on his managers/members for not letting him know what's going on until the last minute (or in the case after it was already too late). And how could you tease us like that with the snippet of imagery from Jinki just out of the shower? >.> Buh.

*grumble grumble* Very much looking forward to seeing how this progresses though. After the pic you told me about, I can definitely see Joonmyeon and Jinki sort of hitting it off. It'll be interesting to see how they interact in this. ^_^ Looking forward to the next update! Huzzah!
