"Hello," came the suspicious greeting. Thick lips pursed and round eyes peered up at Joonmyeon analytically. Lee Taemin braced his hands on the door and jamb, leaning into the hall to look for any other signs of life behind the leader of their peer group Exo, caring nothing about destryoing the other man's personal space. He straightened and eyed Joonmyeon. "Why are you here?"

At that moment, Minho chose to walk by with a large bag of chips and peeked around Taemin to see who he was questioning. His look of curiousity fell flat as he stared at their youngest member dubiously. "Don't be a , Tae. Let him in."

Taemin huffed and rolled his eyes but let Joonmyeon step through the door. He was warmly greeted by Minho's one-armed hug and offered some Doritos. 

"So," Minho drawled, leading Joonmyeon to their living room. "What brings you to this neck of the woods?"

"My schedule ran a little late but no one was home at the dorm," Joonmyeon replied, depositing himself into the couch next to the Shinee member. He crunched on a Dorito. "They'd changed the lock and hadn't given me a new key."

"Was just about to ask," Minho grunted. "It's not sensible for the leader to not have a key of his own."

"Doesn't help that they took until the last minute to give him the first key either," another voice chimed in. Joonmyeon sat up and twisted to look behind them. Lee Jinki was toweling his freshly washed hair as he paraded into the adjacent kitchen, casting a smile over at his good friend. "Hi there, Joon."

"Hey, man," the Exo leader returned with a small wave.

SO IT BEGINS

A/N: Welcome to the first of many chapters. These are going to be short and sweet until the plot thickens or I find something to throw at you in the meantime. Enter the first roadblock: I've heard that all of Shinee likes Suho, but Taemin doesn't list him as a favorite. Not to say that he hates him, but it's more of a "so, I know you exist, but it's not that important to me, but hey though!" kind of vibe. 

I could be wrong.

But in this fic, and since it's mine, it's going to take on an extremist's role.
