⤫ Saving a Princess 101

"Look, I am here to learn how to sword fight to save a princess."

"Sorry, as you can see I am no princess."

"Your father, he is the sword master! I need to learn from him."

"Ah, the old man is down. You can learn from me. Both swordfighting and saving a princess."

"You? But you're a-"

"Got a problem with that?"

Plot sypnosis:
It all started when one of the older princes finally got married, after spotting a girl in a tower and almost getting himself killed. The youngest prince who has been pampered all his life, is determined to not lose out to his brothers and find himself a princess to save. The problem is, he can't fight and hasn't really been out of the castle before. His servant informs him that there was a sword master that lives the the outskirts of town that will be able to teach him.

As he make his way there, he encountered a girl who was cornered by bandits. Wanting to be hero-like, he offered his help but got her into more trouble instead. But thankfully the girl defeated all of them with her trusty sword, leaving the young prince in awe. He asked her for help to find the master. Turns out that the girl's father is the one he is looking for. But sadly, he is now sick and unable to teach. The girl then decided to help this poor prince and teach him what he needs to know. And soon, as time pass, he learn about other things other than sword fighting, like how he seems to be falling for this feisty girl.
 

Genre: Romance, Comedy

Characters: The prince, the master's daughter and the prince's brothers.

Inspiration: I actually just thought of it yesterday. I was borrowing books for my younger brother and stumbled upon this book, Hero's guide to saving your Kingdom by Christopher Healy. And it intrigued me so much, I started reading and am halfway through. Another secret revealed, I still read children's books. Haha. And anyways, this idea then struck me. I really like it but time is not in my hands, unfortunately.

Suggestions: I imagined the prince to have several brothers and tie them to fairy tales. Maybe he can like have 4 brothers. HIs oldest brother saved Rapunzel. His 2nd brother found a bride that wasn't a princess named Cinderella. Leaving him and his 3rd brother still single. I was hoping that *SPOILER ALERT* in the end, before the training ends, his 3rd brother reported to him that there was a beautiful princess that was asleep for many years and that they both should try to save her. He went with his brother, but in the end decided to go back to the master's daughter. His brother meanwhile saved Sleeping Beauty. LOL
