Bay Ridge Island, a small yet beautiful island yet extremely underpopulated.
The wealthy *Kims decides to open a resort on the island.
"To attract more tourist to bring in revenue and show them how beautiful the island is." They claimed.
The residents agree all except ______. They don't know that the opening of the resort means everything else has to close down.
That includes Summerdale Inn, the place that held all of ______'s memories.
However going against the Kims isn't easy when you're the only one against them, especially when you've fallen for the Kim's only son.
Plot synopsis:
The female protagonist in this story is a adult who as recently lost her parents in a car accident. Desperate to find back the peace and love from her parents, she returns to Bay Ridge Island where she recalls having a vacation with her parents back when she was just a child. Back when everything was just so carefree. She finds the inn where she stayed during that time, for sale. Leaving her Seoul city life, she moved back to the inn, this time as it's owner. And with a little renovation it looked like it was new all over again. She kept the old name of the inn though, Summerdale Inn.
There on the island she made friends and for the first time in years she feels like she really belongs there on the island. However her happiness was short lived. The *Kims decides to stay at Summerdale, which aroused the female protagonist's suspicion. [Co-A/N: I mean like since the Kims are like super rich and all they could afford to stay at a more expensive place or something right? :P] But she quickly dismissed it.
Soon, she falls in love with the male lead, the Kim's only son. And of course like and a typical love story, the male protagonist unknowingly falls in love with her too.
One day while cleaning the male lead's room she comes across a blueprint of the resort they were going to open and she realizes that the resort's opening results in all the other local stores and inns have to be demolished and residents have to move out of the island. Meanwhile the Kims are hold a petition, trying to convince the locals to support the opening of the resort. And a lot of the locals agree on help the Kims, thinking it's good for the island. [Co-A/N: Poor people don't know that they're harming themselves. Tsk tsk.]
The female lead tries to tell them but only her close friends listen to her. And they try to stop the Kims. And of course the female lead manages to stop them, using the male lead of course. The story pretty much ends off on a great note, the female lead happily with the male lead.
Genre: Romance, slice of life?
Characters: The female lead, her love interests, her close friends (They are locals as well), love rival (Can be one of her close friends, optional tho.)
Inspiration: A book I borrowed but I hardly read, cus tbh sometimes I borrow books but they just sit around my house until I return them. :p
Suggestions: * I'm just using the Kims as an example, feel free to use other surnames. And just to be clear, (In case you don't want your idol to be the in the story.) the main bad guy, the mastermind of everything is the male lead's rich and mean father. That's pretty much it. I think? Oh yeah and if you're confused about why the female was cleaning the male lead's room, it's room service. Yes, inns have room cleaning service as well. Well at least this inn has. Almost forgot, you don't need to call it Bay Ridge island as well, I just made up that name. You can called it anything you want, just make sure it's a underpopulated island. Wait, and also you don't need to call it Summerdale as well, yada yada, you get it. c;
