It had been two weeks since the final filming day for ‘We Got Married’. That night, Naeun and Taemin went home with the biggest smile on their faces. Their members were surprised that they had come home very happy, and so interrogated Naeun and Taemin endlessly that night. They had always known that something was indeed brewing between the two but were always sceptical if the two had enough courage to actually translate into their real personal lives. Nevertheless, they were all very supportive and congratulated them, promising to help them whenever they needed it, but with the price of being allowed to constantly tease them about it. Naeun and Taemin didn’t mind the teasing one bit. They were in love. No amount of teasing could bring them down from cloud nine; it only reminded them of the heart-fluttering feelings of being in love and how lucky they were to be in a committed relationship in the industry.

The members saw a drastic change from that night. When they were still in their ‘reel’ marriage, the pair kept in touch, acting like love-struck teenagers once in a while, but now it was even worse. They were calling and texting each other constantly, phone always within reach, and walking around with stupid smiles on their faces wherever they went. SHINee and APINK members found it hand-curlingly cute at first, but now they just wanted to gag. Maybe it was their jealousy talking?

Taemin and Naeun had not actually been able to meet over the past fortnight, as their schedules had prevented it. APINK were experiencing a comeback and SHINee were busy with individual activities and attending events and concerts overseas.

Today, APINK had a schedule at Music Core. They would be doing a pre-recording of their song, then going to a few small interviews after that, and then finally be able to go home. Naeun knew that Taemin was free today, and she hoped that they could meet each other for a secret date that night. She had really missed him. APINK climbed into their van and then arrived at the broadcasting station. They were greeted with a few fans and photographers, where they stopped to accept some gifts, then quickly ushered into their dressing rooms to begin getting ready.

Once APINK had finished with hair and makeup and putting on their stage clothes they stayed in their waiting room, while their stage was to be set up. A knock at the door disrupted their conversations. Carefully opening the door, Taemin took a peek inside.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I was looking for my girlfriend, but I guess she’s not here…”

The APINK members laughed, as Taemin pretended to back away. Naeun stood up.

“Oppa…”

“Ah! I found her! I just couldn’t see her because she was already in my heart…”

Naeun playfully hit Taemin on the shoulder.

“Eiiii, that was so cheesy, Oppa”

The APINK members pretended to make gagging sounds but Taemin and Naeun were already lost in their own little world. They made space for him at the end of the couch next to Naeun who he placed his arms around her waist. His manager walked in with five boxes of pizza and Taemin and the girls thanked him.

“Mani meogo…”

Conversations were bright and lively, and food was inhaled like a tornado had just taken everything in its path. Chorong turned to Taemin.

“Why are you here?”

“Minho hyung is busy today and so I volunteered to take his place as MC”

A collective round of ‘ahhh’ went around the room. Namjoo spoke up first.

“I guess, it’s to see Naeun, right?”

“Of course.”

Taemin smiled brightly at Naeun, who blushed in her seat.

“I’ll go first. I need to get changed. APINK fighting!”

Naeun stood up to walk Taemin to the door. Before he turned away, he whispered something to her.

“Naeun-ah, meet me later?

“Mmmmm…”

After APINK’s performance they were called for a quick interview with the MCs. The interview followed stock standard procedure with questions about how it felt to have a comeback and messages to fans. However, Naeun and Taemin were thrown a curveball when one of the MCs asked about seeing each other after the end of their ‘We Got Married’ stint.

“Naeun-ssi, Taemin-ssi, don’t you think it’s fate that you see each other today?”

Naeun and Taemin sent a quick glance to each other, but Naeun spoke up.

“Maybe it’s just a coincidence…”

Eunji quickly intercepted.

“Well, they have a lot of things in common. Maybe they like to go to the same places even if it is for work. I hope that everyone watches their last broadcast together today.”

Naeun and Taemin sent a mental thank you to Eunji and followed up quickly, in unison.

“Ne, we hope that everyone enjoys our final episode of ‘We Got Married’ today. Thank you!”

APINK left to go into their dressing room, as Naeun left to go to the agreed meeting place where she would wait for Taemin. She told her members that she would be home later, and they agreed to go first. Naeun waited patiently while Taemin finished up the broadcast.

“Naeun-ah, I’m here.”

Naeun walked up to him and greeted him with a hug.

“It feels like we’re still filming, but there’s no cameras.”

“Finally…some real alone time.”

Taemin grabbed her hand and lead her into one of the empty rooms.

“Oppa, why are we here?”

“I thought we could watch our final episode together.”

“Ahrasso.”

They sat down on one of the couches in the room, Taemin’s arm around Naeun’s shoulders and Naeun’s arms firmly wrapped around his waist, head resting on his chest. Naeun poked his side and took out a bunch of tissues to wipe some fake tears out of his eyes.

“Don’t cry when you watch it, alright Oppa?”

“Me? Cry? Why would I cry when I have my favourite girl next to me? Besides, what we said that day was true, right? It wasn’t the end for us…”

Naeun nodded her head and hugged him even tighter. They watched their final episode together reflecting on the beautiful memories that they had with each other, knowing that they would continue to make even more happier memories together in the future.

They were oblivious to what was happening outside. Even more so, what was happening on the internet.

A pink panda had just made a happy discovery and posted this straight away on the Daum forums.

She believes she saw a new real idol couple on a date.

She believes she saw Taemin and Naeun together.
