chapter three - The Painting and The Best Friend

Recap:

Jaejoong felt butterflies in his stomach

Ugh, it’s only been our second meeting and I’m already falling for her

It’s been two months since you first met Jaejoong, and you two have been seeing each other since then

You two were in the park, having a nice walk

Jaejoong suddenly stopped in front of you “Hyeri-ya, do you want to go see my studio?” He asked

“Sure, oppa. I’d love to” you smiled

That smile… The reason why I fell for her in the first place…

He took your hand and he led you to his studio

His studio was in an apartment

He opened the door, revealing a beautiful room with lots and lots of paintings in there

“Woah…” you said in amazement as you looked around

“Jaejoong-oppa, I never thought you were this good of a painter”

He pouted “When will you stop insulting me??”

“Umm… Never” you laughed

He chuckled in amusement “Come sit there” he pointed at a wooden stool

You sat there and he sat behind the canvas

“Can you move a little to the left?” he asked

“O…kay” you shifted to the left

Then he began painting

There was a silence between you two and you were getting bored

“Oppa, are you painting me?” you asked

“No, I’m painting the wooden stool you’re sitting on” he answered, with his eyes still on the canvas

“Mwo?! Oppa!”

He laughed “I was just joking”

You sighed in relief

“I’m painting the flower vase next to you”

“Oppa!” you whined

“Stay still, I can’t paint” he said

You pouted then did as he told

A couple of minutes passed, and you were tired. Your was starting to hurt for sitting down too long

“Oppa, are you still not done yet? My ’s hurting” you said

He chuckled “I’m about to finish”

You stayed in that position for another minute

“There. Finished” he announced

You sighed in relief “It’s about time!” you stood up “Let me see, oppa” you went to him

“Nooo, you can’t see it yet” he blocked the canvas before you could see it

“But oppa-“

“I’ll show it to you when I’ve perfected it” he said

“And when is that?”

“Secret”

You pouted again but then you realized there was no point in going against him anymore “Fine, but you have to show me it, okay?”

“I promise” he said and then he grabbed a piece of white cloth and covered the canvas

“Yo, hyung!” a man suddenly opened the room’s door

Jaejoong was sitting on the couch, having a cup of coffee

He turned to see who it was “Oh, Donghae!” he put down the cup of coffee and stood up

“You’re back” he gave Donghae a man hug

Donghae had been in America for 3 months for business matters. He was Jaejoong’s best friend since childhood

“Missed me?” he grinned

“Missed you? Hell to the NO” Jaejoong slumped back on the couch

Donghae followed Jaejoong  “Dude, I know you don’t have that many friends. So I know you must’ve been lonely without me”  

Jaejoong rolled his eyes “For your information, I have not been lonely” Jaejoong stated

“What? You got a new replacement for me? Is he better than me?”

“Jealous much? I swear you’re turning more gay by the second” Jaejoong shook his head “And she’s not my best friend. She’s more like… my girlfriend” Jaejoong said with a smile as he thought about you

“Wait wait! She?! A girlfriend?!”

Jaejoong nodded “She’s like an angel sent from heaven…” Jaejoong said wistfully

“Wow” Donghae looked stunned “My best friend’s finally got a girlfriend. After all those years of setting you up for blind dates. Finally!” he grabbed Jaejoong’s arms and hugged him “I’m proud of you, bro”

“My God! Donghae, no gay please!” he pushed Donghae away

“Introduce me to her!” he said

“I’m supposed to meet her today, you can come. I’ll introduce her to you”

“Great!” he clapped his hands
