I get on Donghae ahjussi’s car. Yui is wearing a beautiful green strapless gown and her hair is beautifully done. I look at myself. I’m wearing a pink blouse with cute peach mini skirt that Appa bought for me. I put a light make up on and ponytail my hair.

“Why are you looking so down, Jinhee?” Donghae ahjussi asks.

“It’s nothing important, ahjussi. Anyway, you look pretty, Yui. Your Omma did your hair?” I ask.

“No, Appa brought me to the salon. Thank you, Jinhee. You look totally amazing with that skirt. Your taste is quite astounding. I’m impressed.” Yui touches my skirt.

“Thank my Appa. He bought me this skirt when he was in Italy last month.” I blushed.

“So, who did you invite to the prom, Jinhee?” Donghae ahjussi asks.

“No one. I ask Appa to come, but he is busy with the shooting so he can’t make it tonight.”

“Oh, I should’ve asked Taewoon oppa’s friend to come. Why didn’t you tell me earlier that you don’t have a date?”

Ouch, that hurts!! I look at Yui sharply. Did she forget that I’m in this size that no one would date me?

“I forgot to tell you. It doesn’t matter anyway.” I sigh.

I could see Donghae ahjussi is looking at me by the mirror but he looks away when our gaze met. I don’t care if Donghae ahjussi is thinking weirdly at me.

At the prom, Yui and Taewoon oppa dance together. I stay at the table, watching my friends having fun with their dates. I check my phone. Though Appa is not here, he constantly messaging me, asking if I am okay or not.

‘Appa, I’m fine. Stop messaging me or you’ll get scolded by the director!’

I send it. I take a glass of water and was about to drink it when suddenly my name is announced by the DJ.

“Choi Jinhee, cheer up!!” The DJ asks using the microphone. I’m embarrassed when all my friends look at my way.

“Choi Jinhee, come and join the crowd!!” The DJ announce again.

My face feels hot. I don’t think I could stay in here any longer. I take my pouch and ready to leave when suddenly I saw 2 familiar figures smiling at me…
