Being a Business Administration student is not that easy. I’ve been busy this whole month, juggling between a mountain of assignments and also with the faculty activities. Since I was given a responsibility to be the President of Business Faculty Students Association, it is actually impossible for me to have a time for myself.

“Jinhee-ah, please do take care of yourself, precious. I have no other daughter other than you.” Appa weeps as he called me one day.

“Don’t worry, Appa. I’m fine here. Everything is going great. I miss you, Appa. I’ll come home this weekend.” I said as my hand is busy typing the assessment to be submitted to my Trade Financing lecturer.

“Okay, my baby. This old man will be waiting for you. Perhaps we can have a date together?”

“Sure, Appa. I’d love to. It has been ages since we had the dinner date. Appa, let’s go somewhere romantic!” I tried to sound enthusiastic, but I guess Appa knows I’m busy.

“Anything for you, Princess. I know you’re busy. Go back to your work, I won’t disturb you. Bye, Jinhee. I love you.” Appa hangs up.

I look at the phone. I love you too, Appa. I’m sorry that I disappoint you. :’(

That weekend, I drove my lovely black shiny Hyundai that Appa bought for me on my 23rd birthday. Before heading home, I bought a box of Appa’s favorite chocolate and a bouquet of red rose for him. I look at myself in the mirror while I wait for my bouquet.

‘Appa, please be healthy and don’t get heart attack when you see me.’ I grin widely as the flower lady hand me the bouquet.

I let loose my hair and put on a simple make up. I wore a white lace blouse and a pencil skirt with leopard print on it.

Appa must love this, I thought to myself. It has been 2 months since I came back home. I cover myself with the box of chocolate while pressing the door bell.

“Jakkaman-yo!” I heard Appa screams from inside. He must be in the shower. I wait until the door before me opens.

“Whom are you looking for, Miss?” Appa asked. I smiled from behind the chocolate box.

“I’m looking for my Appa, Mr. Choi Siwon.” I said as I moved the box that covers my face. I smile as Appa’s jaw drops.

“Choi Jinhee?” Appa cups my face and look at my body. “You’re…err…”

“I’m hot!” I laughed.

“You’re gorgeous, darling.” Appa hugs me. “I miss my chubby Jinhee.” Appa laughs.

“Appa!!! Its not easy to cut off the excessive weight. How can you turn me down like this?” I pout.

“I have not finished with my words, young lady. I miss the chubby Jinhee, but I’m totally falls head over heels for this gorgeous princess.” Appa hugs me again. “You remind me to your Omma.”

“Omma is prettier than me.” I said as I look at Appa’s eyes.

“Let’s come in. Appa had cooked your favorite ramyun.”

“Here’s your favorite chocolate, Appa. And this is another gift for you.” I handed him both gifts.

“You’re my precious gift I’d ever have for my entire life, Jinhee.” Appa kisses my forehead.

“I love you, Appa.”

“I love you more.”
