She felt like she could stare at them forever. No matter how many times or what type of fireworks they were, she never grew tired of them, always entranced by them.

 

She thought that fireworks were one of the best things ever, and having him by her side as they watched them was the best thing in the world.

 

They sounded like drums, hitting an unsteady beat in the air. And burst into showers of red and green, before fizzling into mist.

 

It was as if they planned the display especially for her, red and golden sparks flew above in the shape of a hibiscus, her favourite flower.

 

The next shower of colour burst into the sky, shooting out like arrows; red, green and purple lights flying in all directions, forming an orb-like shape in the sky.

 

Golden streaks shot out, suddenly, signaling that a new image was about to form in the air. The colour rained down, shaped like the crown of a tree, shimmering like stardust, tainting the sky.

 

The last of them flew into the night sky, the most brilliant of them all. Multiple bursts of gold filled the darkness, forming a large golden orb. They stayed for a moment or two, before  leaving long golden lines shimmering in the air. There was the faint outline of a large golden tree before it finally faded, leaving behind only a contrasting cloud of white dusty, mist against the dark sky.

 

He smoothed her hair down, whispering into her ear, "I guess I still stand second in the list of things you love," he mumbled, disappointment evident in his tone.

 

"next to your fireworks..." he added as an afterthought, smiling wistfully.

 

"Pabo," she reached her hand up to touch his jaw. 

 

"Those are two different things altogether," she continued.

 

Turning her head, she pressed her lips against his cheek.

 

 

A/N : Honestly, I was spurred to write this by a fireworks display I saw. So, I don't have a name or face to the guy I'm writing about, you guys are free to imagine him as whoever you want him to be! :) I'll be putting this up in my EXO, BAP and VIXX drabbles coz it seems applicable to all of the members of the groups.
