Jongin POV

The café was full with people. This café was one of the best café in Seoul. The coffees here were tasty. I played the edge of the mug, ran my finger around it, made a perfect circle. We were waiting Lay hyung’s coffee. When it was already served to our table, Lay hyung took a sip of his coffee and looked me seriously in the eyes.

“Now tell me about this friend of your, Jongin.” I nodded.

“His name is Kyungsoo, Do Kyungsoo. In the first day, I was punished to be his school tour guide by the principle. I didn't want anything to do with him. You know how I hate people if they were not my childhood friends, right? That was what I thought at the first time. Then I guided him to class. But he kept his head down on our way to class. I told him to stop staring the ground or bullies at school would pick him. And the biggest and baddest bully in our school, Kris, picked him already. I, without thinking twice, helped him. Then he became strange. He was  is clinging to me so much. He even told Chanyeol and Luhan to back off and stopped being my friend.” I sighed. Lay hyung only nodded, then I continued my story, “He became protective over me. But I said harsh things to him. He looked really sad.” I was about to continue my story when Lay hyung suddenly stopped me.

“What did you say to him, Jongin?” I regretted every word I said to Kyungsoo on that day. I nervously answered Lay hyung. “If I remember it correctly, I said to him not to tell me what to do. And I told him he was no one. So he better stay away from me and my friends.”

“Before that did Kyungsoo said something to you?” I tried to remember it again.

“Yeah. He said that no one ever stood up for him, like me and he really grateful to meet me. He said he was happy to meet me.”

“Then I left him there. In the cafeteria, I happened to hear my classmates talked about Kyungsoo. They talked about Kyungsoo was beaten by Kris. I asked them where he saw Kyungsoo and went there. He really had been beaten badly. I just took him to my apartment. I treated his wound. When he woke up, I gave him a glass of water.
