Chapter 4
Red Fluke [Hiatus]
Duration of a month without someone to help him handle his life almost drove him insane. At first, Baekhyun thought that he would live with the empty space of a wife as an apt soon or sooner. But he was completely wrong. Taking care of a five years old daughter and a four and half months infant were not as easy as it seemed to be in televisions.
The worst not only came during the peak early morning hours just to get his children ready, or the diaper changing times or during the argument of what colour of socks was suitable with the colour of Hyemi’s skirts every single morning (eventhough the preschool skirts’ colour was in constant dark green) or even the cries and unfathomable needs of an infant at midnights and sometimes morning.
It was the parts where everything that he did reminded him of Saerom.
It hits him like a tornado, when Hyemi said “Daddy, Mama doesn’t tie my hair this way” or “Mama doesn’t put cereal before milk” or when Yuhan frequently rejected the formula milk lately. He’s out of his mind just to think a solution to this. His working quality was getting lower each day and he got castigated numerous times by his boss for the lack of achievements.
“I’m going insane, Chanyeol,” he ruffled his hair in agony and thumped his head slightly on his wooden working table. “Yes, you are. And it’s quite entertaining to watch, you know.”
“ you,” Baekhyun growled. “No thanks,” Chanyeol’s eyes twitched and he began to guffaw loudly and had been whacked with a scroll of paper by Baekhyun in respond. “Yah, you acted like a female Baekhyun.” Baekhyun blew his dishevelled hair on his forehead to get a clearer view of his colleague. “I’m talking about serious things with you man. Don’t fooling around.”
“Okay, okay sensitive brat, I think…you should remarry.” The monotone voice of Chanyeol echoed throughout Baekhyun’s small office cubicle. Baekhyun then scoffed. “Tssk, easy for you to say. Is there any woman out there who is willingly to marry a widower with two children to take care of? I bet there’s none.”
“I bet there is. You didn’t even go to our company small social gathering not to say the outside world. How come you’d be sure that there’s none?” Chanyeol relaxed his backbone on the chair he was sitting. Eyes narrowed at Baekhyun, waiting for a feedback.
“Because, no one can replace Saerom.”

“Oh my God Mom, it was so embarrassing. I think I want to quit my job here, change my name, run off back to Korea and never mention of Germany anymore.” Saehyun’s rants were blurted out over the phone only to receive back laughs and giggles from her mother.
“Mom,” Saehyun whined. “Okay honey, but yes. I think you should do that except for changing your name.” Saehyun fidgeted on her bed. “I’m sorry Mom for not coming back during Saerom’s funeral. I’m a bad twin sister am I?”
“No, don’t say that. I understand your situation, Dad too. It just…when will you be able to get back? We miss you so much sweetheart.”
“The graduation is one day more to go and then I’ll quit my job, get back to Korea and live my new life okay? I promise.” Saehyun pointed out her pinky finger even when nobody was able to do pinky promise with her at the moment. “And..get married?”
She gasped. “Err I didn't promise for that one, Mom. Hehe.”
“Aigoo you’re not getting younger Saehyun-ah.”
