Saehyun was beaming brightly upon seeing her beloved twin sister perfectly clad in an all-over ivory mermaid silhouette gown with tight torso, off-the-shoulder but with long laces tight sleeves and a simple pearl necklace finely placed around Saerom’s collar bone. She loved the way her sister chose to wear a simple tiara made up of flowers instead of silver and diamonds, and of course, the beautiful bouquet of pink roses wrapped in smooth black ribbons in her grasp.

Saerom walked in the aisle with people awed for her perfection.

It was irony that they’re twins, and Saehyun still and would forever envied of Saerom’s gorgeous appearance but in the positive way. She always thought that her twin was much more better than her on anything and she was happy with that literally. Saerom was part of her after all.

During the vows and exchanging rings were made between the bride and the groom, Saehyun couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t cut off her thoughts of how unbelievable the event that occurred ahead her. It just felt that it was yesterday, they both got reprimanded for playing in the mud after elementary school hours' end.

Saerom was 21 and in a status of married by then, with a man that Saehyun believed was the right and compatible one for Saerom. He was nice, responsible, good-looking and well occupied with a good stable career. Byun Baekhyun. That was his name.

And it also felt like it was yesterday when Saehyun flew  all the way from Germany (luckily it was semester break) to Seoul in haste just to visit her twin sister and congratulated her for the born of her second baby boy and she ended up was given a chance to name him as well.

Saehyun never felt as much contented in her life.

Saerom was 26 and was blessed with a perfect spouse, a five years old daughter, Hyemi and a fine new-born baby boy, Yuhan. Meanwhile, Saehyun was 26, single and still studying for her Master in Germany. Alone. Reality hurts sometimes, but Saehyun doesn’t seem to care because part of her was living it well.

It was a cold thunderstorm night there, in Germany when Saehyun’s phone rang in the middle of when she was cooking for late supper.

She was surprised that her mother wasn’t asking about boyfriends and stuffs, but wasn’t glad either for what her mother was about to tell her.

Mrs Kim sounded really weak, her voice was feeble and the wheezes and sobs made the whole situation crumbled. “Mom? Mom? What’s wrong? Mom are you crying? Mom?”

“..Saehyun-ah..your sister.” Saehyun’s guts churned at the horrible thoughts formed in her mind. “What’s with Saerom? Mom? Calm down and tell me, one by one. I couldn’t hear you properly.”  It shocked Saehyun to the state where beads of sweats started to form on her forehead, when her mother began to wail and the phone was passed up to her father. “Saehyun?”

“Yes, dad. What happened? Why why does Mom cried? Dad?”

“Saehyun-ah, promise me you’ll calm down okay?” Saehyun nodded immediately even her father wouldn’t have seen that. “Your sister Saerom, she had passed away just now. Car accident.”

Her heart skipped a beat and she choked on her own air in before the phone dropped itself due to gravity and landed harshly on the floor.

It was insane.
