What’s changed?
“I don’t understand why you have to choose a different university. What’s wrong with the one I chose?”
I can’t believe he’s asking me this.
Is he serious? Didn’t we just talk about this?
“Oppa, you know why. The university you’re going to doesn’t specialize in arts. We’ve talked about this already.”
I could see the frustration in his eyes but I’m not budging from this. He knows how much I want this so why is he acting like this now? The way he’s looking at me right now makes me want to smack him. I love him with and everything but he can’t possibly ask me to abandon ship on my future.
“Han-gil oppa, we can still see each other you know. It’s not the end of the world.”
“It is for me.”
I stood up to leave, clearly not amused by the direction our conversation was going and couldn’t help but be disappointed at him.
Shouldn’t he be excited for me?
He must have felt my frustration when he suddenly grabs my hand, pulling me down back towards him. I ended up sitting on him and couldn’t help but sigh as he nuzzles his face on my shoulder as if to say sorry.
“Don’t be mad. I’m just…concerned ok? Since I won’t be there to protect you, you know.”
I had to roll my eyes at this. My knight in shining armor is at it again with his gallantry. I stood up again, this time swatting his hand away in an attempt to pull me back as I stood in front of him, both hands on my hips looking completely annoyed.
“I’m not a little girl anymore oppa.”
“I know. But you’re my girlfriend and I’m pretty sure I have the right to be concerned.”
His long arms reach out towards me as he grabbed on to my hips, pulling me back towards him and making me straddle him instead. I couldn’t help but blush, thankfully his roommates weren’t around or else those punks would have teased us (and I mean me) to death.
I tried my hardest to maintain my annoyed look but it was so damn hard when he keeps on making circles with his thumb on my hips.
“Stop that!”
“What?”
Han-gil just looks at me innocently while his other hand began to move itself from my hips to my thigh, going up and down in slow agonizing before resting his hand back to my hips and lifting me up just a bit to move me closer, much closer to him. I could only look away while blushing madly at this. He’s always been so affectionate towards me but right now this is kinda freakin me out.
“Hyejin-ah, look at me.”
I could feel his warm breath on my face, his nose softly touching my reddened cheeks as one of his hands (which were on my hips) now rested at my lower back and the other made its way towards my chin to slowly turn my face towards him.
I felt my breath get caught on my throat for a moment as I looked at him. Han-gil was very handsome. A fact that everyone in our high school acknowledged and boasted. He wasn’t an ullzang but his features were very much appreciated by the female population at school. Tall, broad shoulders, slightly built but lean body and arms to die for, not to mention incredibly handsome with gorgeous brown eyes. He was the object of attention most if not all girls in school…whether they may be students or not.
He’s great in sports, quite impressive in academics and popular; everybody loves him. He’s got everything going on for him and he could have chosen someone equally appealing as him but he chose me.

I’m not that pretty (which he’d deny to death).
I’m not athletic, I’d die before I reach the finish line.
I’m a so-so in academics.
I’m not tall and model-like. I’m only 5’3, almost a midget next to him who’s a 6.
And I’m definitely not popular. Well, popular in a different sense.
I’m popular with the girls. They want to skin me alive and chop my body to bits.
Ever since I became friends with him when we were just kids, I’ve had girls hating and breathing fire down my neck. When he asked me to be his girlfriend, it’s like a scandal broke out.
Most were in disbelief, others in denial. The negativity I expected to skyrocket did happen. I got bullied a lot whenever I wasn’t with Han-gil and when I was with him, girls would give me dirty looks. Thankfully I could handle my own. I wasn’t going to let some jealous girls bring me down. As the years went by, I guess people started to just accept the fact that we were dating and that we wouldn’t be breaking up any time soon no matter how much they tried.
Now that we’ve already graduated from the hell hole that was highschool, things seem to be looking up for the better for us. Well, at least I hope so.
“Promise me you’ll only look at me ok?”
Han-gil’s voice was deep and soothing as he said those words, staring back at me with his hand now my cheeks.
“How can I look at others when everyone pales in comparison next to you?”
It sounds cocky but it’s true. At least for me that is.
I don’t care how amazingly perfect he is to others. To me, he is just Han-gil my childhood friend and boyfriend who I know I can never replace. He means the world to me and I know he feels the same.
He smiles at my answer and kisses me. I could feel the grin in his kiss and couldn't help but laugh.
Maybe we were just fools in love.
Ok so finally I've uploaded the very first chapter! Hurray!! I hope you all like it! Me and Cuquri really planned this story out (even til now).
For all those who are curious or who doesn't know who Han-gil is, he is M.I.B.'s leader and main rapper 5Zic. He is one of my ultimate biases and someone who I lust after for. He is just so darn gorgeous!
