Whenever the world was going against me, giving me problems that I couldn’t bear, I would hum the lullaby he sang to me every night which gave me strength to continue living my life. I still remember every word, like he sang it to me only yesterday but truth is, ever since the orphanage closed down a few years ago, we never saw each other again. He was fortunate to be adopted by a wealthy couple who were desperate for a child to inherit their wealth while I was forced to live life in poverty and to work hard to change the course of my life. Out of hard work, my life did change but I still couldn’t bring myself to forget about my past, especially him. He has always been in my mind and I told myself that I was going to find him someday. I was determined to find my bestfriend, the only person who stood up for me even if it meant knocking on every door in Seoul.
