Haneul: Appa Wasn't Here. (When You Weren't Here)
Description
"I'm sorry. But it happened at the best time - children tend not to worry about things like this."
He couldn't believe it when they'd first told him. He'd thought the doctors were playing some sick joke. This happens to other people's kids. Not his.
Not Jung Daehyun's son.
Foreword
"The lonliest moment in someone's life is when they are watching their whole world fall apart, and all they can do is stare blankly." - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
A small warning - this story is about acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). I have done plenty of research into this, and I'm hoping it's all acurate. If not, then I apologise for any negative feelings in advance.
Through this fic, I hope to show that idols are not the indestructible superhumans that we may think they are - they obviously have feelings too, and the same amount of mortality as anyone. There are plenty of things that we don't know about their lives, and this is purely fiction - I'm sure Jung Daehyun's life isn't quite like this, and I highly doubt he has a seven year old son already. Well... I sure hope not. ;)
