Jae heard Ki sigh in relief and smiled.

 

“Do you think that I would want to be late?”

 

“Well, I dunno…you don’t have to come to work today if you don’t want to…I mean…after Jason and stuff…”

 

Jae froze.

 

“Jae…? Oh, my God, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to-“

 

“Ki. Just be quiet.”

 

Ki shut up and Jae laughed.

 

“Anyways, I’ll see you later.”

 

Jae said and hung up.

 

She walked out of her house and locking the door, she left her home.

 

Today was her first official day as working for SHINee and she was nearly going on a high.

 

She had loved SHINee since she was 15 and she just couldn’t get enough of them.

 

Suddenly, she was standing in front of SM Entertainment.

 

She had been so engrossed in thinking about SHINee that she hadn’t even realized that she had arrived there.

 

“Annyeonghaseyo.”

 

Jae said and bowed to the people at the front desk who in turn gave her a slight smile and returned to their job.

 

Jae scanned her ID card and was let in.

 

She went into an elevator and pressed the number 6 where SHINee now was.

 

She looked at her watch and smiled.

 

She had 10 minutes to get up there and set up her outfits for all five of them.

 

“Hopefully, Ki will already have done the make-up cases…”

 

Jae whispered to herself.

 

*DING!*

 

The elevator had arrived and Jae stepped out.

 

She began to walk towards the room where the photo shoot was to take place, her long brown hair trailing behind her and her heels clicking on the ground.

 

“Ki? Ki! KI!”

 

Jae shouted out.

 

“I’m here! I’m here!”

 

Ki ran out from the make-up rooms.

 

Jae smiled at her best friend and hugged her.

 

“So, you’ve set up the make-up right?”

 

Ki nodded and Jae smiled.

 

“Now, let’s get the outfits sorted.”

 

Jae walked over to the camera man and asked him what the theme was.

 

When they knew the theme, Ki and Jae began to arrange the outfits.

 

Just ask they had finished, they heard a few girls squeal and knew that SHINee had descended.

 

“Come out. Let’s give them their outfits so they can change.”

 

Jae told Ki and she did.

 

As the five shining boys walked towards Jae and Ki talking and laughed Jae looked at the boy who was on the side, a wide smile on his face.

 

He looked…he looked like…

 

Jae gasped.

 

She stared wide-eyed at the leader of SHINee, telling herself that it wasn’t him but the more she looked, the more she saw that it was him.

 

“Umm…Jae…?”

 

Ki said and waved her hand in front of Jae’s eyes, snapping her out of her day dream.

 

“Oh…right. Okay. Here’s your first outfit Taemin oppa.”

 

Jae said and handed an outfit to Taemin who smiled back to her and turned around to get changed.

 

This continued until lastly, it was Onew’s turn.

 

Jae lingered on Onew’s uniform, scared to turn around.

 

Oh Come on Jae! You’re going to have to face him sometime or later!

 

Jae persuaded herself and so she turned around but a hand was suddenly on her forehead.

 

She turned around to see Onew looking at her worriedly.

 

“Are you alright? That night you seemed like you were about to faint…”

 

Onew said, checking her temperature.

 

Jae smiled and removed his hand from her forehead and handed him his outfit.

 

“I’m fine.”

 

Jae said again.

 

When all the boys had finished changing, it was time for their make-up, one by one, they got their make-up done by their two make-up artists, Jae and Ki.

 

When they had done that, it was time for the photo shoot.

 

The next few days seemed like a total blur for Jae and Ki.

 

They had to follow SHINee everywhere to give them outfits of their occasions and their make-up.

 

On the Friday, when Jae went back home, she slumped across her couch and fell asleep.

 

*RING DING DONG RING DING DONG*

 

Her door bell rang and Jae sprang up from her couch in horror.

 

‘Oh…it was just the doorbell…”

 

Jae said and rubbed her hands on her face to wake up.

 

*RING DING DONG RING DING DONG*

 

“I’m coming! I’m coming!”

 

She shouted out to the person and she began to walk slowly and tiredly towards the door.

 

“Who is it…?”

 

Jae asked and opened the door.

 

“Onew?! How did you find this place?”

 

He smile and held up his phone.

 

“Ki.”

 

Jae groaned and held her door wide open.

 

“Come in then…”

 

She said and sighed.

 

“Komawo.”

 

Onew said and walked in.

 

“Have you eaten dinner yet?”

 

Jae shook her head and stifled a yawn.

 

“In that case,”

 

Onew began to roll up his sleeves.

 

“I’ll cook for you then.”

 

Jae looked at Onew oddly.

 

“Why?”

 

“Because I want to.”

 

Onew began to make way to the kitchen and suddenly, Jae remember that she still had his things in her cupboard.

 

Jae ran up to her bedroom and took out that jacket and the umbrella.

 

She began to walk down and suddenly, the smell of spaghetti was in her nose.

 

She walked into the dining room and smiled.

 

She gave Onew back his jacket and umbrella and then sat down opposite him.

 

“Wow…you know how to make spaghetti?”

 

Onew laughed and nodded.

 

“Have a taste. I haven’t made it in a very long time…I don’t know if it’s still as nice as it was when I first made it.”

 

Onew said embarrassed.

 

“What the bowl of water for?”

 

Onew didn’t say anything.

 

Jae looked at Onew and just smiled and then began to eat.

 

*CLINK*

 

Jae froze and Onew didn’t say anything.

 

“What…was that?”

 

Jae said and probed her spaghetti.

 

*CLINK CLINK*

 

Jae began to part her noodles and gasped.

 

There, lying innocent and shining was a ring.

 

Suddenly, Onew was in front of her.

 

He picked up the ring from her noodles and rinsed it in the water and wiped it on his clothes.

 

He held out the ring to me.

 

“Will you be my girlfriend Lee Jae Song?”

 

Jae stared and stared at Onew.

 

“But…why…?”

 

Onew smiled and slipped the ring onto her finger.

 

“Because I’ve loved you…since forever.”
