”Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Luhan. Happy birthday to you!” Yixing’s sweet singing voice woke Luhan up as Yixing opened the door to the bedroom.

Yixing was carrying a plate with something that smelled delicious. Yixing walked to Luhan’s bed and placed the plate there.

It was pancakes, hot chocolate plus a small bouquet of snowdrops.

“Snowdrops?” Luhan looked at Yixing.

Yixing nodded. “They were hard to find, I had to go up at six this morning. Most of them are dead by now, but I saw that these were alive”

Luhan took a piece of pancake and put it into his mouth. “It’s delicious”

Yixing smiled towards Luhan. “Happy you like it”

Yixing took a seat on the edge of Luhan’s bed and slowly his hand over Luhan’s ankles.

“I have prepared more than this” Yixing explained.

Luhan’s eyes widened, he didn’t want to ask for this much for Yixing.

“You really shouldn’t” Luhan took a sip of the hot chocolate, which was really hot.

Yixing chuckled when Luhan removed the cup from his face and showed Yixing the whipped cream which had got onto Luhan’s nose.

Once Luhan had finished the breakfast and Yixing had left the bedroom, Luhan hurried to check his phone to see if Minseok had called or send a text message to him.

Luhan didn’t expect anything; he had just hoped that something or someone would’ve made a call to him.

But there was one problem; Luhan didn’t have any friends that were real except for Yixing and Minseok. And Luhan was pretty sure that his friendship with Minseok had just ended.

The day passed on in the apartment and it wasn’t until the afternoon that Luhan heard the phone ring.

He hurried to pick it up where it was lying on the table in the living room. “Hello?”

“It’s me… Minseok” a familiar, yet shaking, voice said.

Luhan smiled and looked at Yixing, who probably had understood who Luhan was speaking to.

“Hi” Luhan sat down in the couch in a half-sitting and half-lying position with the legs also on the couch. “How are you?”

“G-Good” Minseok was stammering. “Happy Birthday”

“Thanks”

Luhan gazed over at Yixing, who were doing something in the kitchen he didn’t know what it was but he was really loud while doing it.

“I…” Minseok began to speak. “I miss you, will you be back soon?”

Even though he knew that Minseok wouldn’t be seeing it, Luhan shrugged “I don’t know. I like it here. Yixing is nice to me and we’re really getting to know each other.”

“Are you taking your medicines? Have you seen or heard things lately? Any bad dreams?” Minseok sounded worried.

Luhan looked at his own reflection in the window. “I’m taking my medicines, Yixing is helping me. I have been living all normally since I came here. No visions or bad dreams”

“I hope it will continue being like that” Minseok said.

“Me too”

Minseok hung up the phone with Luhan and saw an unread text message from Jongdae:

‘This might sound strange, but I really like spending time with you… would you like to go out with me some time?’

Minseok smiled at the text message, knowing that Luhan already as too far away from him now and they would probably never love each other the way he had hoped for.

Instead he replied to the text message:

‘I would love that! Saturday at seven?’

Luhan was playing a game on his phone when it vibrated and a text message arrived.

‘Kim Jongdae asked me out on a date!’

It was from Minseok. Luhan had no idea who Jongdae was but according to all the million smileys Minseok had inserted in the text message he understood that his friend was happy now.

‘Awesome! I’m happy for you’ Luhan replied to the message.

“Looks like Minseok has got himself a date” Luhan chuckled.

Yixing entered the living room with a small package in blue paper. “Really? How fun!”

Luhan nodded, hoping that Minseok finally would find his own happiness now.

Yixing sat down in the couch next to Luhan and placed the package on the table. “It’s not much, but it’s all I can give you”

He handed Luhan the gift and Luhan carefully unwrapped it. Inside the package was a small, black box lying.

Luhan opened it, it was hard to open but he finally managed to open it, and saw a necklace with a snowdrop in silver on it.

Tears were being formed under Luhan’s eyelids. He was so thankful for everything Yixing had given to him.

On the insides of the paper was something else being written as well.

‘Wo Ai Ni. I Love you’

Luhan looked at Yixing and smiled, tears were falling down from the cheeks of both the males.

“Thank you” Luhan dried his tears and leaned towards Yixing.

Their lips met and they united in a kiss. All the emotions exploded in that kiss.

Their lips parted and Luhan looked into Yixing’s eyes and smiled. “I love you so much”

Yixing chuckled and dried one single tear on Luhan’s cheek. “I love you too”
